Absolutely! The standard 4AH HP batteries are 2 for $199, but the real deal is the standard HP 6AH at 2 for $159.

@Python_Bob I definitely will come back with a review/update soon! Gonna charge it up and put it to work today. I didn't NEED any batteries, but the idea of increased runtime and output for HP Circular Saw and HP Angle Grinder made it a "justifiable" purchase. 😎

I think there’s still the deal where you can get (2) 6ah batteries plus a normal 4ah one for like $160. You’d be crazy to pick the edge one over that deal.

@jim3922 well, this brings in the "quality over quantity" argument. If we're talking about stretching the dollar, which I'm obviously a fan of, then then quantity is the way to go. But having 1 battery that will potentially out work 3 is still very much worth it. I agree with both sides of this coin. Lol

Not excited enough

My exact thoughts! I believe the Non-HPs didn't phase out because Ryobi still has so many brushed tools in circulation, but the with edge; because Ryobi is now bringing out more Brushless HP tools, I suspect the same. We'll see big drops in the standard HP prices/standard HP battery deals, which I'll likely grab a couple more 6AH for rainy day. Thanks for tuning in!

If I were a contractor using Ryobi tools for a living I might be excited about this, but Since they just put their high performance batteries on sale I am loaded. I don’t think I will ever need more ryobi 7:04 batteries. One thing I realized about Ryobi they are constantly refreshing their tool offerings, sometimes it is annoying. How many times can they update their version of the air compressor? I bought one a few years back and since I think they now have 10 versions more just to try to sell you a “better” version. Just like the batteries, now at least 4 versions later. Anyway William thanks for keeping us in the loop.

BTW, I just checked my Home Depot here in New Jersey, same as you 3 in stock 13 for shipping.

@bigkahuna6277 Man, I have no disputes about this, and it's very well put for that matter.. for instance, I will not be getting the new hp angle grinder... no reason, my hp angle gringer is equally as powerful.. nor the new brushless multi tool, my hp multitool is equally as powerful. I still have the Gen 1 brushless hammer drill because im just not sold on the current model. no reason.. The only enjoyable thing is the price drops on the previous versions, much like we're seeing on the HP batteries. My excitement for this battery is (which ill be demonstrating in a short later on) the noticeable difference in power output, although I'm just a home diyer, I sometimes work my tools hard and the extra power will help cut down on project time/fatigue.

NOOOOO. Lol. The new direction is not fashion. I'm not into fashion so much myself, though I do enjoy a nice classic suit. The new direction is just incorporating different types of deal videos. So I will DEFINITELY still be doing TOOLS a lot! But I'll also incorporate appliance deals, home upkeep, and menswear, groceries. I'm just trying to get more opportunities to save out to more people. Yep. The brad nailer is only running in-store apparently.. which is weird.. perhaps the online stock sold out. Call me cheap, but $40 saved is another 20% OFF, especially if you already go to home depot regularly. That's $40 towards more tools. 🤣

Sure thing: the deal was $199 and then the price dropped to $159. If you purchased the deal at $199 then you can either return and repurchase to get a $40 refund or you can return and purchase the items again in a separate transaction and save $40.
