Gosh I miss this show and recently watched old adverts and clips after Book of Bill brought it back into my mind. Mabel's such a wholesome sister to Dipper and a great friend with the perfect mind of a funny and silly happy go lucky 12 year old child wanting to make the best of whatever they can at their age before inevitably losing chances to do so. I legit never even knew hate for the character became a big controversial topic in the fandom for a show I grew up with and remember very fondly, I guess that's what eventually happens when time passes. I know she isn't perfect and did take some things to the extreme, but that's standard for most people, especially siblings in general around that age, people are flawed. The relationship of the two siblings is one of most important themes of the show. She's a cool, funny character and I think the backlash towards her is mostly overblown.

27:46 Frankly I think if it was change to be more like a specific episode of Ever After High it could have worked. You can't undo a love spell, but you can specify the type of love you have. (They had flowers that could show how you trully feel base on the colors.) Would be interesting if the episode ended similarly. Like if when they got sprayed by the anti love potion it didn’t really change anything because they were actually really in love. But now that the obsession aspect wore off. They could try and make up to their friends.

I wouldn't mind seeing the timeline in which she becomes a witch, and the Blind Eye member. I'm also curious about the Gnome Queen branch, because I think in that timeline, Dipper is a stillborn.

Mabel's development may not have been the clearest, but it was there. Sure she had her flaws, but everyone in this show had those. Hers are not worse than anyone else's.

And to think there's an Infinite number of timelines where they didn't make on their adventures...It's really sad to think of every implication for them.
