@JustKeepPlaying-b8e absolutely. Zelda is the main one that comes to mind for me, but everything that once ran at 30fps would be better at 60. I'm hyped brother ! Fingers crossed !!!

I’ll most likely pick Kirby and the Forgotten Land as my annual game to replay, it’s just that good. With some exciting new releases and my already massive backlog, it’s shaping up to be a great year for gaming!

@JustKeepPlaying-b8e There was no particular game that elevated the switch above the N64. It was more to do with the quantity of high-quality games for the system released in total. The more games I own for a system, the better the system. Still love my N64 though

Once it gets the Goemon games, it will officially surpass both N64 and SNES. At least for me.

On the impossible ports side of things I would say that Mortal Kombat 11 is a really good one and it’s always good to have some Kirby in your lineup

And that's the problem with casual nintendo fans. Nintendo is the only company of the big 3 releasing a game every month. Some games I feel were reviewed unfairly and are better than some will give it credit . Definitely a solid year with Nintendo transitioning to their next system.

Yeah, this year trounces any of the last years from the GameCube, Wii, and Wii U eras. And yeah this year had a lot to offer overall, especially when you combine Nintendo 1st party, 3rd parties, and indies. Definitely a solid year overall 💯

Yeah for a transition year, this was a pretty good year. And I feel you. I do think that Echoes of Wisdom and Mario and Luigi are both a bit underrated, and will be looked back on more fondly once the dust settles and people look back at the Switch’s library in retrospect

Yes, Hollow Knight is definitely worthy of being an essential! And here’s hoping we hear something for Silksong soon. The Ori games are incredible, and right up there with Dread for me. I’m really hoping that they release Prime 2 and 3 on Switch before Prime 4 drops. Thank you for sharing 🎮

That’s awesome! Thank you for sharing that. That’s an awesome list of games to get you through the next year of college, and here’s to it being an awesome year of college too! And yeah, people can say what they want about the Switch, but it’s done a great job of providing some amazing gaming experiences since 2017. Experiences that I’ve been thankful to still have even while traveling throughout these years. The Switch has been fantastic 🔥

Including a remasters/remakes and collections mix is a really good idea. And this just goes to highlight what makes the Switch’s library so special. Definitely 💯 it’s been the premier system for me for quite a few years now, especially for exclusives! That portability factor really helps make up for some performance issues, as long as they’re not too crazy. And yeah Splatoon 2 is absolutely 🐐’d too

For sure! I love the open world of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and hope that they continue with that for the next game

Nothing redeemable seems a bit harsh, but I see what you’re saying. A game winning or not, for sure, shouldn’t affect someone that deeply. But I can definitely understand cheering on your favorite games, and celebrating their success. I don’t see anything wrong with that. But yeah, it not winning won’t/and shouldn’t take away how they feel about the game.

Calm down no one's losing sleep over a goty award. If you're gonna give an award to a winner that the vast majority of the community disagrees with there's obviously gonna be backlash.

I feel you. I definitely think it would’ve been cool to see Silent Hill 2 and/or Stellar Blade get some recognition. I don’t have a problem with Balatro, but I would’ve been cool to see one of those two get a nomination too. And yeah, they just couldn’t ignore Black Myth Wukong’s impact no matter how it was rated. Yeah, Unicorn Overlord is awesome especially if you liked Ogre Battle back in the day. There’s a pretty substantial demo, and the progress carries over. Definitely hope you enjoy it, if you give it a try 💯
