Ah thank you! From my understanding the delivery of lectures have changed quite a bit I think on Fridays lectures are all online and it’s only a few days that they are face-to-face However, this may change for the next academic years so what I would do is go on the student and website and try and talk to someone who is in year one or a lecturer

Oh thank you! I use CapCut for iPhone on my iPad. I use this for my short form media anyway and it actually works really well for long form media. I have an adapter to transfer the images from my camera to my iPad and it just worked really well for me much quicker than my crap laptop and free software LOL

Hi Adam! Congratulations 🥳 I’d say to honestly try anything that presents itself, even if it’s just once. I ended up working as a student ambassador, creating my own social media, taking up karate and climbing. These are all things I wouldn’t have ever thought to do before Swansea is a really great location if you love the outdoors - I would definitely recommend going to the Brecon Beacons, taking up opportunities to do your placements outside of Swansea, going to the Gower (especially on nice sunny days) Let me know if you have any other questions:))

​@@robyntaylor9648 There really are so many things there I'm excited to try. I'll definitely go in with that mindset, and explore the outdoors aplenty! Are the city and Singleton Campus quite bicycle-friendly, too? I was thinking it might be a good idea to cycle to the campus and back each day instead of taking the bus 🚲

@@adamchapman7729 oh it’s definitely bike friendly! It has a gorgeous beach front to cycle along. I’d say be cautious of the weather as it’s pretty wet in winter, and also watch out for hilly areas (they can get very steep to cycle) In summer, I cycled to campus everyday, and would walk back with my bike up-hill

The honest answer is I did my undergrad at Swansea, and I was very happy to stay here because I had built communities and had jobs here. But I also had heard that Swansea is one of the best places to go for medicine. I wasn’t particularly keen on living in London because I had spent a few months working there in the summer and I absolutely hated it. Nottingham would’ve been my second choice and I’ve got a few friends who have gone to Nottingham from Swansea and they’re very happy. I’m still very happy with my choice at Swansea because I like the teaching style even though it might be changing throughout the years. I think it depends on the person and what they want from the course . If you just want to be a doctor and you don’t really care about how you get there, where you go, then any of these places will do. Swansea is a great place to live if you like the outdoors , if you want to try a new culture, If you want to work in small hospitals etc. i’m going to make a video about what like to live in Swansea and Wales soon so if you have any specific questions regarding that let me know! I hope this helps. Sorry there wasn’t a straight answer!

Sort of the same for me, all my Mams family are in Port Talbot and I've always heard people in the area say that Swansea was one of the best training hospitals in the UK, I believe my GP who's Australian even did some training there! I love Wales, love the outdoors and surfing so I think I'm onto a winner. I honestly just wish it was a nicer building! so silly really.
