DIY Wireless foot controller (FC-7) for a Roland BK-7m backing module
มุมมอง 1.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I replaced my home made FC-7 foot pedal for my Roland BK-7m backing module with a DIY wireless foot pedal made from a Roland FC-100 foot pedal, a CME WIDI CORE X wireless MIDI module, an Adafruit 328P micro processor and some magic code to make it all work. In the future I want to control the BK-7m volume using through this and also expand the use of the foot switches to control some of my acco...

Jammin' around a backing track style on the Bk7m. The Bk is playing through the accordion speakers.
Amazing video!!! Thank you so much for sharing. Are you sending PC and CC messages from your footpedal to change BK7 fills and start/stop functions?
What number is piano?
Number 1 on the presets is called Natural grand, there’s a few other pianos as well
you can change variations via midi cc
Bardzo ładnie kolego 👍👍👍 Super 👍🔥👍 Pozdrawiam serdecznie i życzę miłego dnia 👏🔥👏oraz Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku 2024 🍾🥂🍾🥂🍾🥂🍾Do zobaczenia 😊😊😊
G-day mate great vid - any chance you have wiring/schematic for ROLAND FC-7 you can share? as I don't need wireless but want to build wired FC-7 replacement. Cheers :)

I can live without friends, without family without food, whitout house, without air and whatever i can lose... Just my old me and my accordion for the rest of my days

Thanks for sharing!!!
Wow. I wish I could do this for my ewi1000
man you are good
I have a roland bk5, and an arduino nano, can you help me program an arduino nano, so I can control fill ups and so on?

Nice man, so glad i found this
Great idea. I just bought an FC100 and plan to rebuild it to become a wired FC7 replacement for my BK-7M. What you have done could have been a nice option and a way to get rid of the wires, but I don't have enough knowledge regarding wireless MIDI, so I guess I will stick with the wired setup for now.
The electronics is pretty easy. Plenty of Arduino and similar stuff online, easy to learn. It's figuring out all the switch interactions and midi commands to send that's the pain. I still need to 'tweak' my code in a couple of places to fix a couple of small problems. I've actually found the WIDI bluetooth midi to be not 100% reliable. I played a small gig yesterday for a seniors group and had so much interference that the bluetooth was not really usable. From now on I'm taking wires as well as a backup. I like the freedom from wires but if it's not reliable you have to question it's value. Still, as an exercise, building this thing has been fun and interesting.
You’re the first one I’ve seen wire up the WIDI core X. I tried wiring mine up and so far does not work.
Did you get it working? Wiring diagram here ltlfrari.no-ip.com/Public/WIDI-FC7Wiring.jpg
Thank you for posting that diagram. I was trying to wire it directly to the midi tx pin of a serial midi device. I should try it on a microcontroller first. Ill report back whenever i try it.
The D.I.Y Master 👍👍👍😎
Does it work? Can you transfer the original keyfob with circle panic button to ebay keyfob with triangle panic button?
Don't know, I just did same to same but it worked.
Not very many people play the accordion any more, glad to see this
aaaah you venus.
That’s pretty good for just 4 weeks. Keep practicing.
👍🏻
Bravo!!!
Heyyy please answer
Hi... so so thank u.. one question can you set it + or - 5 bpm ( not one by one ) ?
You could make it change by any number of bpm, it's just a matter of changing the programing.
@@ltlfrari thanks but how ...............pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee
What is your setup? sounds great. I am thinking of getting a Lucina.
Are you sending midi to the JanMan? With your box.
It's a sort of midi, similar format but not really documented. I found a web site that had enough info to make this work.
@@ltlfrari i have the jam man XT solo and am trying to find a way that i can sync with other midi devices such as maybe a drum machine . There was a Little Box called a Sync Man That i saw on youtube somewhere that could do this but i can't seem to find one anywhere and the guys videos are like 5 years ago. any ideas how i could make this happen?
VERY NICE RENDITION MUCH APPRECIATED
Excellent, im want to do this with my lucina, i dont have an ipad, but im try it with my tablet,
Hello great work!!! I would like to do something similar with a Raspberry PI. Would you give me advices about the Jamsync protocol?
I'd love to see the inside or schematic for the Magic Box! If you ever market this bit of genius, please let everyone know. Heck, why build one when you could just sell a kit to make one? It'd be nice if there were more documentation about MIDI and the BeatBuddy.
Where can I get a magic box like that?
Hey bro nice job, I want to use it for transitions, how to make one? ..
Ciao, ma che scheda usi per sincronizzare? Si trova in commercio? Posso acquistarla in Itaia? Non so se acquistare un Syncman oppure una Arduino based come la tua. Io devo sincronizzare esattamente come te : BB e Solo XT, di cosa ho bisogno? Grazie . Saluti da Roma ;-)
Ciao. Sai se esiste qualcosa di simile al syncman? Vorrei sincronizzare il mio beat buddy e un Jamman SoloXT. Grazie. Saluti da Roma
Nice demo! I'm wondering if you can record a chorus and a bridge on other channels on the Jamman and FS3 on the fly?
Great set up mate....! I'm interested in the circuit you used to connect the jam man to the beatbuddy... Any chance of a link to the wiring to do this..?
Dave E guess not
Sorry, I rarely come here, didn't notice the request. It's basically an arduino uno with a midi in and midi out. There are plenty of circuits around on how to hook up midi input and output to an arduino. I just used a couple of extra pins for the switches and led.
@@ltlfrari so you mean you didn't do any programming on arduino? It's quite hard to understand what you did just watching the video. The missing part is the arduino programming and how you wired the arduino and the pedal
had same problem. Undo synth, turn the long strip under the keys the other way round - it solved my problem. And no, it didn't 'move' the problem.
+David Wright Tried that as well as replacing with a new strip and even replaced the circuit board under the keybed.
Is this the location at Greenwood Commons?
Cool. Has iphone not been able to show pdf files or something before now? That is weird.
I was looking around how h people are playing with lovely Lucina 09. I'm just a beginner and not sure whether to get one... Seems interesting how you deal with that instrument with some iPad SW mixing and looping...
I love it.
Nice.Very nice.
@Oluyemi74 Did he say what the issue was? How much did it cost to repair? This synth has some great sounds on it and I am loath to sell it because I know I'd get nothing for it but I have to weigh up the cost of repairing it. I've already spent $200 on the contract strip and circuit board under the key bed. so it's not realy worth it to spend much more, especially if it's not going to fix the problem,
Had the same problem with some keys but I found a technician and got them fixed.
Turned out to be a blocked catalytic converter. Eventually it wold hardly run at all. Replaced the cat and it runs like a champ now.
did you solve the problem? did it was a common error? is there a firmware update?
I like this Big E! So you wait to leave Squier Red & The Blues Band to start singing (smile). Sounds good, besides that english accent always gets american music listeners (smile). Keep it buddy! Put the metal to the pedal!
woooooooohoooooo go Cookies!! awesome jump - gorgeou skies and look at him motor - far far better than i ever do! loads of control!! A natural - I tend to just head to earth like a meatbomb lol! man you gonna put me to shame when I jump with you!
Brilliant, just like our Ant does it, although I think he leaps out of the plane with a bit more enthusiasm lol!! xxx
hi Alana its Anthony and Nadja here! We just sat and watched your video - well done it looked like you really enjoyed yourself :D hope Cd is doing well at his AFF course - its good to see you have the blue skies - we've had a grey sheet over our heads today but I managed to get some jumps in hurray! anyhow hopefully catch up soon! love Ant & Nadja x
