Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Beautiful Cycling on quiet, magnificent roads!
Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs are contiguous therefore listed as one park. For some reason they're much less visited than their famous cousin Yosemite, but these parks are stunning. They're uncluttered by visitors and will open your eyes to the mighty Sierra landscape.

Fresno - Raymond, California // We tried a gorgeous ride in the Sierra foothills!

Most people don't think of central California as a place to ride bikes, but they're wrong! It has plenty of out of the way, under used rides and this is one of them. About 1 hour north east of Fresno is the teeny weeny town of Raymond where the Fresno Cycling Club hosts an annual ride. The event has the funny, smartypants name, Everyone Loves Raymond. We stole this ride from them called The Gro...

We got lucky and had a wonderful mid-winter cycling ride on the first day in weeks with sunshine. My video doesn’t do it justice but it’ll give you a flavor of what we saw. We were lucky to meet a couple of friendly birders who pointed out three California condors, a dream of bird spotting for me.

I took a bicycle tour with the excellent organisation No Footprints Explore. We rode around Madh Island, an old fishing community at the northern end of Mumbai.
