200kg (441lb) Bench Press at Only 22 Years Old (End of the Road)
Back in the dungeon for the final heavy bench press session of the year!
Failed this thrice in the early morning, but managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat once again with a monster 200kg bench press in the afternoon. I honestly don’t know how I did it. Glad to say I have hit my 2024 fitness-related New Years Resolutions, except that gnarly and elusive 300kg deadlift!
Gonna go for it in a couple days, so if I don’t post anything, it’s cause I failed. Who knows, maybe I’ll post whatever happens. I can’t wait to begin the cut, and do more calisthenics. Benching this much, including the journey to this point, is so taxing on the body. I do not know powerlifters and strongmen do this all the time. Kudos to them, but I don’t think that’s my path.

22 Year Old Bench Presses 200kg (441lb) & Knocks the Rack!

Do not try this at home. Always have a spotter. Failed this yesterday, on top of having a competition 4 days ago, so was glad to get it while being extremely fatigued. Have been powerlifting seriously for about a year now. Have never really been coached, nor do I follow any dodgy programs. Body weight is approximately 116-118kg at the moment. #benchpress

If you'd told me this would be possible when I started, I would have laughed. Cannot believe I squatted 6 plates! It has always been my downfall, but now it's really strong. This was my end of year goal, so we can tick this one off the box ✔️. Hope you enjoyed the video! #squat

Haven't deadlifted in almost 5 weeks, and pulled an all-time personal best. Got a novice powerlifting competition in a few weeks, which is the perfect opportunity to pull 300kg. After this competition, my training will shift to a calisthenics/bodybuilding focus. Honestly, I am getting sick of being a mammoth lugging around so much weight. In future, I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket. Als...

Benching a lot more. Aiming for that elusive 200kg (441lb) by the end of the year. Need to be more patient with my training. Gonna take a rest this week from benching, and will come back next week with a fresh attempt at 190kg (419lb). Thanks for watching #benchpress

Love to hear that clang of iron. But yeah man, get some safety spotters
damnnnn, I'm tryna be like you bro fr 💪💪💪 great job
@@LegDayEnjoyer-496 Thanks mate!
Mass moves mass
I wish you a good health. It ain't worth anything bro. Consequences is permanent. There's no real reason to lift heavy to live a good life.
Thanks mate, but I guess the purpose of powerlifting is to lift heavy. Even though I have won a national title in this sport, I totally agree. Too risky and too much ego. I am planning to switch back to calisthenics and bodybuilding soon.
no safety bars? bro you are strong, but it won't matter if your neck gets crushed.. be safer bro, nice rep!
Bro need no safety bars, if the roids epidemic ain't stopping. Lifting heavy is frankly useless than impressive. It might looked like it. But nah, consequences aren't fun. Been there, done that.
True, lifting heavy without safety precautions can lead to serious consequences. It’s not just about how much weight you can handle but how safely you do it. Strength is impressive, but sustainability is key. No progress is worth risking your health for. Appreciate your insight from experience
he doesn't have clips on the weight so he can drop it if needed
@@paintballman1o1good eye! Didn’t catch that. The safety bars would still be much safer in this scenario.
Thanks mate! Yeah it is definitely not the safest method! I have failed 200kg many times this way, and usually tip it off the sides without the clips on. People are usually too afraid to spot me with this weight, so I go alone.
whaat the fuck bro how
Good!
wowwww u are so strong💕💕
nuuuh bro you are pure gains good job
Wow you looked so fatigued after all the powerlifting and still pulled it off 🤩
@@CaptainAB Thanks Anthony! Yeah pretty exhausted, but still got it!
I reckon you could’ve done 210kg if you were rested
Haha maybe not 210 yet! But might do one last well-rested peak bench before 2025!

Wtf noone told me I could wear my collared plaid shirts at the gym. Haha, nice lift Dude!
Thanks! Yeah I bring out the flannels sometimes. The fabric is grippy on the back, good for squatting!
Yo respect
So easy even had slow songs in the back🥱💪
Gahdamn
awesome brother but really get a spotter or at least some safety bars forget that macho im no wimp non sense
that’s what i told him
@@carlosortiz9757 Thanks! Yes I am also not the most mature person. If I fail, I usually just tip it off the stomach either side. One time I got 200kg stuck under the rack arm - had to manoeuvre it around and over it!

What programs did you run
💉💉💉💉
@@ccips1135 None! Just intuitively train. Roughly pick a day to attempt a new bench PR, and in the lead up to it, allow enough time to rest and recover before the big bench. Might do 70-50 percent of my max for an 8, 6, 4 and absolutely kill the chest. After a heavy bench session, you may need a week off bench to recover for a PR. Maybe ill make a video on this, once I bench 200 without my ass lifting off the bench.
@ wow, that is absolute Chad way of doing it

Thanks mate. About 2 years seriously. Bodyweight has been fluctuating from 112-118 lately.

impressive keep going🎉
yo bro what is ur bench routine? im stuck at 120 and cant progres
@@gymenjoyerrrThe most influential thing that blew my bench up was increasing my bench sessions throughout the week. I used to rest a lot and do 1-2 sessions of bench a week, but it never worked that well. I don’t recommend it (because you could get injured), but I would push through pain and hit bench 3-5 times a week. The day before this 180kg single, I attempted 200kg in the morning and failed, then hit 160kg for 6 in the afternoon. Getting the volume in helps a lot. You should be sore all week. Then when the body recovers, have a few days off before your PR bench attempt. In other words, demolish your chest and nervous system for 2-3 weeks, then have a few days off and you will surprise yourself . You’ll have 140 by the end of the year.
light work🤩
