The daughter of a police captain is kidnapped. The police ask handsome psychic David LeGrand to solve the case. Nancy starts to believe in David's powers, when he keeps finding evidence, and she kisses him after he saves her from danger. The police make two attempts to catch the culprit during a ransom dropoff, but they both fail.
Nancy doesn't solve the mystery in this book, as much as she repeatedly visits Bess' personal psychic, Madame Tatiana. Madame tells Nancy what to do, to solve the case. Sounds like Madame should be the psychic crimesolver, not David!
I give this book a 5 out of 10.

Nancy is more interested in dating the handsome Paul Johnson than in solving the case. Nancy solves the case after one of the runners is injured during a big race. I give this book an 8 out of 10.
