Yes dude (Jeeeeez) SA has an airforce - be it small at the moment, its the second oldest airforce in the world. You will find a ton of context on … oh wait TH-cam! on the SAAF … the highest scoring allied (those were the good guys) fighter ace of WW2 was a South African (Marmaduke. St. John Pattel - google it) You millennials really need to get out a bit more 😂
Every so often in Soweto, though everyone knew this
It is wat it is
It’s grip’pen 😂
Safety has become a luxury in South Africa
There appear to be a couple of interesting astrophysics experiments on Marion Island; Probing Radio Intensity at high-Z from Marion (PRIZM) and Array of Long Baseline Antennas for Taking Radio Observation from Sub-Antarctic (ALBATROS) per Wikipedia.
Your video is too short to list all the reasons, sadly.
Yes, that's the unfortunate truth!
lol
DNA?
I don't think criminality is genetic. I do however think that bad/negligent parenting leads to criminality. This can be generational, as children copies their parents in the way they raise their children.
Bro this isn’t rocket science, the constitution protects criminals, Law Enforcement doesn’t work and I as a Citizens cannot use lethal force to protect property.
Thank you for the video, I'm a native of the Caprivi Strip myself
Ah awesome, thanks for watching!
A more appropriate question is "Why is there so much crime in our world!!? It's worldwide malady, and it's because crime have been an "Industry" for the longest and GOVERNMENTS have been Criminal Enterprises for longer and wars is the most dual business, thinning the herd while getting rich of it by selling armament and stealing riches. When government is BY the rich FOR the rich, slavery is perfected, the citizens victimize eachother because attacking the government is sure death. It's called "Democracy" "Western" version. Subject or else.
"Why is there SO MUCH CRIME in South Africa?" Because the country is overpopulated the justice system is captured, corrupt and incompetent like the "government" and the police, unemployment is 40%.
Education, done.
True, education is so important.
@@AsherPardey In America, when a prisoner is transferred to prison, the first thing they do is test their IQ and education level. Some states have been doing this for 40-50yrs. What they've discovered is poverty + higher than average IQ + low education level = crime. We spend less on education in these areas than we do on law enforcement, that's messed up. All that data and instead of fairly distributing education funds to minority areas we add police, pointless. As long as conservatives have power this will continue.
Great video really gives the facts. Tragic and how SA has continually voted in the ruling party is beyond me. Hope change can come cos despite the many criminals and corrupt people, there are also many great SA folk who do so much good and try really hard to be different.
Thank you Dad, really hoping for change!
You're fooling yourself, it's precisely on account of those that "doing good" is not part of the program, their main interest is have the most "Elon Musk" and blacks don't deserve their riches, says Satan's Personified.
Corrupt; violent Anc and eff the cause of all problems in SA
For the most part, yes, that is true. A government that’s corrupt gives way for violence and crime to run rampant.
Thanks for the episode, crime is killing the RSA.
It really is! Thanks for watching 😊
Starting with the ANC...biggest criminals
I'm from Sweden, and I knew about Metroblitz.
Caprivi exists because it is in Africa. What a stupid question to ask why it exist. Whites have no audacity to talk about how they divided us for their colonists tendancies. Our painful stories have to be told by us not them who will always want to be on the driver's seat to drive the narrative to their bias as if the occupants of the colonozed lands were mindless , stupid and were resisting colonists.
how did bro not know we had a airforce my brain alomost exsploded
Bro does know 😅 I just hadn’t seen or heard of much happening in my 25 years in SA. The Air Force is in shambles, so there’s not much left.
@@AsherPardeyIts not in shambles... we have 28 grippens, and half of them are in a what I can describe as a hibernation (to keep them as new), so should war break out they would be easily filled up with liquids & fuel and then attack.
Wow. ignorance is bliss. The South African Air Force has a proud history stretching from 1920 to present times, though it's now been allowed to dwindle into a grounded paper tiger, which is very sad, considering it was the strongest and most capable air force in Africa once upon a time.
Very true! It’s crazy how bad it’s become. I was born in 1999 so I’ve never known about the thriving Air Force we once had. Digging into the history is fascinating!
South Africa had an excellent air force once. That was a log time ago. Now it is just a joke, another corrupt African banana republic. It is sad.

great video man!
Appreciate it!
Hey Asher, Never heard about Caprivi Strip. good to know.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Keep sharing more such knowledgeable topics.@@AsherPardey
For anyone who wants to know the answer without dedicating 9 minutes to it: When the Germans colonized the area, the strip was supposed to provide Germany with access to the Zambezi River, aiming for a trade route to the Indian Ocean. This didn't work out due to Victoria Falls being impassable. Now, it's just a skinny extension of Namibia, sticking out between other countries due to those old colonial ambitions. Done.
Hi Samusaran, thanks for watching and creating this summary! Glad to see someone is taking notes! :)
@@AsherPardey I didn't watch, this coulda been answered in a minute or less. Idk why you used so much fluff.

"didnt even know we had an airforce" my boet, we have the second oldest airforce in the world, how do you not know
My boet, it’s a joke. 🤦🏽♂️ I know we have one, just currently not much of one.
@@AsherPardey ill give you that one, we have such little aircraft that we might as well start hiring the hadidas as planes
Yes, we call traffic lights robots here in SA
I think South Africa had up to 1997 the second oldest Air Force or Commercial Airways in the world. ( I know what went wong). P.S The yanks inderectly had part of the change of scenery of this country.
The longest tunnel in South Africa is the Orange Fishriver tunnel.
I believe that I may have the key for the prison that those Italians were kept in. It has the letters PAK KA on the key ring. They were left by my late wife who was fascinated with the pass, especially on a motorbike. She got claustrophobic in the tunnel. She said that the key was from the prison on top of the pass. Who could I return it to if it is the key?
When I served in 1 Parachute battalion during the 80’s we were often based at Ondangwa airforce. There were always a couple of Mirage F1, Impala, Puma Helicopters, Alleouette gunships, Dakotas, bosbok spotters and occasionally some C130 hercs. Then one still had Rundu and Ruacana airforce bases with similar numbers. ……..and now we have only 2 fighter jets???? Another ANC stuff up
Oh 😂OK I was asking my self how many air fighter plane we have now I understand
Good information about the island, thank you
We should change the name to real african name not these European settlers
Haven't tried to rename it yet have they ?
Not a bad idea tbh
@@mazibukomailyou can't build anything, all I see now is the country going in reverse gear. But you are very good at changing names.
@@nelsonchinasamy9857hi, yes, you are correct I can't build anything I studied economics and law at uct not construction. Hehe I focused on the name change which is more towards the law.
Very nice video! I enjoyed it very much
Thanks bra... wish it was still worth as much. And by the way why aren't we on the gold standard?
I think we’re not on the gold standard because we don’t have enough gold in the country.
Hey Asher, great video, just a heads up, track gauge is the distance between the left and right rails on the track, Cape Gauge is 1067mm and Standard Gauge is 1435mm.
Thanks!
I still am very resistant to Mandela on the bank note. Money should not show political leaders, but rather notable academics, natural features or national symbols (Kimberley Hole, The Amphitheatre, Hole in the Wall, etc.)
Yeah that's probably true, I like the idea of national symbols.
Ive noticed that the security strips are not consistently in the same spot. Good security feature.
That's a cool observation!
Read The Bank of England Q1 2014 Bulletin articles on “Money Creation in the Modern Economy.” They explain a lot about what money now is, who gets to create it and the important role of debt. Basically loans create deposits.
WAKE UP BABE ASHER BROUGHT THE HEAATTT

Other people / Countries can see our growth but us here in South Africa nothing we thank! I glad this guy is happy to see those Jets fly. Be greatfull and wish for better! Most of comments its like during apartheid everything was okay! Shame on them .
we may have a worse economy now, but atleast we can work together to fix it now, to get rid of the corruption. no more apartheid, thats one step further to a perfect country

What an incredible journey! Back in 1968, I embarked on a truly unforgettable adventure, spending a whole year on Marion Island. It all started after I completed my matric at Hoerskool Die Burger in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, South Africa. Landing a job as a Meteorologist at Jan Smuts Airport (OR Thambo) marked the beginning of an extraordinary chapter in my life. In March 1968, I found myself aboard a boat bound for the island, joining the 25th team to inhabit it. Imagine this: just seven of us, including four fellow Meteorologists, a Radio Operator, a Radio Technician, and a Medical Officer, setting foot on the island. We were armed with 12 movies, a treasure trove of books borrowed from the Pretoria Library, and provisions to sustain us, including 52 sheep and 100 chickens. Life on the island was a unique blend of challenges and beauty. We even had to adjust our diet by slaughtering a sheep roughly every 10 days. At that time, Marion Island was teeming with cats, scattered across the landscape and lurking in the store rooms. Despite the isolation, the bonds we formed and the experiences we shared were truly special. Now, at 74 years young, I often find myself reminiscing about those days. I've even tried to revisit the island, only to be told it's not open to tourists. Yet, the memories I hold dear, along with the friendships forged during that time, continue to enrich my life. So, thank you for sharing the video-it's been a delightful trip down memory lane. Groete, Andre Dirker
