I will admit, I was planning for this video to be closer to 20 mins rather under 10 but this project ended up being a lot more complex than I originally thought it would be. I am still working out the kinks when it comes to working out the flow of this story so this first episode may feel a bit rough (cause it is. There are a lot of beats I ended up cutting out because they either served no purpose or I realized that I had to do them in a wildly different way than originally intended. It does not mean you will never see them, it just means that you'll be seeing them later in the series). In the end, am I happy with how episode 1 turned out? Yes and no. Episode 1 is very much an experiment and it shows. That does not necessarily mean it's bad, but it certainly does mean it could be better. And I'd rather continue to experiment and make the series as a whole better in later episodes rather than keep hitting my head against a wall to make the first episode as perfect as it can be. In the end, I hope this peaks y'all's interest and I am excited to see where this series will take me.

4:12 "And it fundamentally changes me as a person" So i might not have fundamentally changed (though I did start sobbing after playing it with my sister) but it DID change my life. I had no idea what I wanted to do as a career when I grew up (still never growing up...) but after a while OMORI made me realize I wanted to be a psychologist of some sort. This game is so good that it gave me a career path. YOU FOUND OUT YOU GOT CAST FOR SUNNY AFTER A NAP IM LOSING MY MIND 17:00 Hero screaming :((( a lot of the time I forget just how grim the story is because I get used to it (it lives in my brain rent free) but every so often something comes along that makes me remember just how dark the story is and how bad it would effect them. Like yeah obviously the events of the game show their reactions but sometimes I forget that and its just Game and not These People Are Fundamentally Altered Because Of What Happened 17:47 Oh. 22:11 I'm proud of you all for working on the series, too. I remember when I was first watching I genuinely thought that it was actual camcorder footage that had art drawn over it, but knowing its in blender is like. Its insane it went as far as it did because that's gotta be a lot of work. And the voice acting was also really good and my own headcanons for voices didn't get in the way of appreciating what yall did and yeah im running out of words here im about to devolve into fanboy noises Honestly, I think Faraway Logs had a fairly decent stopping point (I mean I haven't rewatched it in a while so maybe there was a cliffhanger) but being a video version of the photo album, it hit most of the events in the in game album, and had the hidden videos hinting at what was to come. A full conclusion would be nice to have if it ever does come back, but it still feels complete. It's one of my favorite pieces of OMORI fan media :)

Before watching, it's actually insane to me that it's already been a year since the last upload. It feels like maybe 2 months, but not over 12...

I love Faraway logs so much, thank you for helping to create such an amazing series. Even if it was never finished it gives off such a wonderful nostalgic feeling, and i love it to bits. Im glad that there was no drama to its ending, everyone did amazing. Im glad you all had fun with it :] <3

Yk faraway logs actually got me into the community! I kinda neglected omori for a while But when i saw those videos, not only is the animation style my all time favorite (2d characters in realistic 3d world blended to fit in said world in a natural way) it also had such good voice acting! It felt like something real and in character. I finished playing omori's good + secret ending yesterday- and dear lord it made me cry LMAO but it was such a fun playthrough! So thanks for having helped make that little project! You got my respect

kind of figured nothing else would come of it, but thats just because ive been in fandom spaces for almost a decade. its always sad to see projects go, even if its the norm, but im at least glad you had a good experience. heard a lot of horror stories so its always a welcome change of pace 😅 you all did fantastic work.

I had no idea you were the voice actor for Sunny in the Faraway logs but you did a great job! Also, Sunny crying over Mari’s body thingy and the “Waiting for something to happen” gave me goosebumps especially when everyone screamed Mari’s name. It’s sad to see Faraway logs go, but I guess nothing good can last forever. Oh, and, just wanted to know but is the Omori gameplay from Merg?

the only thing I would like to see in faraway logs is actually basil's face, he has never showed up from behind of his camera and how he looks makes the biggest mystery for this series, which I really like

Thank you so much for informing us, I've been wondering why it stopped for a long time. If by some miracle you do all do more again id absolutely love it but as you said its highly unrealistic. It was amazing while it lasted and still amazing to look back on, i wish you all the best.

I like the idea of making more immersive playthroughs of video games and you could say that this is sort of a practice for that. As to if I'll actually do it, we'll just have to see! Footage of the game is from a channel called World of Horror Games! They do a lot of no commentary playthroughs of horror games. I suggest checking them out!

I’ve been playing this game for 14 years and made many great connections within it. I absolutely love this world they’ve built for us. The content definitely has lulls in it, and many friends have come and gone as well over the years. I find myself missing the times that were filled with more lovely people who brought kindness, warmth, fun, and a joy for the game. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your travels in Eorzea, and I can’t wait for you to get further in the story. If you’re already loving the characters and connections in it, you’re going to be blown away down the road. XIV is my first MMO, I remember starting the free trial a little more than a year ago because a streamer I liked was singing its praises, and I’ve had a blast since the start. I’m now in the patch quests on the way to Endwalker and let me say, the story is something special. If you’re loving it now, you’re gonna love it more and more as you go along!

Counting the number of remaining quests, that's what i did for the Hildibrand quests. I started doing them from the start when i finished Endwalker, and given that i absolutely hated the characters....THAT was a slog. XD
