One of the best 50mm lenses ever made.
In 2021, Sony released their 50mm f/1.2 GM lens, and it raised the benchmark for optical excellence and creative possibilities in the realm of photography.

Loved the video!! What is your pov cam?
DJI Osmo Action 4 :)
Thank you for all your wonderful photos.
There's the Eiffel Tower at the beginning of the video, I think this was shot in Paris not Tokyo
Awesome video bro, this was beautiful, I'm visiting in October and super excited to pull out my old nikon and get some cool shots
what month are you there and are you shooting in a priority mode?
I went in November 2023. I switch from Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority and Manual depending on the conditions/how I feel.
Nice work
8:33 Can you tell me how you can avoid feeling uncomfortable in this situation? I mean you stand there for minutes and photograph a stranger like a hundred times. I could not do it. I would feel uncomfortable, nervous and strange. How do you do that? And how does the person being photographed see it? Or do you ask him before?
In those situations where I'm standing still, usually I'll ask or make myself known and see their reaction. If they're happy for me to take a photo I'll do it, but if they give me a negative reaction then I won't take a photo. Street photography is a lot to do with being confident in yourself and having to accept that you may come across a negative reaction at some point. Luckily I've yet to have a confrontation whilst I've been out shooting but if that day comes, I'd be honest and tell them what I'm doing. If they ask me to delete the photo, I will.
Hows the video stablization with the vintage lenses?
can you please make color grading tutorials?
Nice video, but so very clearly "inspired by" GxAce on on every aspect, the colors, the style, the music, even the voiceover
Casey makes amazing videos. I've had this photography and colour grading style for many years, but I have taken a lot of inspiration from him regarding videography as making videos is a new field I have been exploring and I like his slow-paced, documentary-like style. I'll be pretty happy if I end up being even half the photographer and filmmaker he is.
Excellent video,m!!! very enjoyable to watch!! Some of my favorite photos I’ve seen in a very long time
Glad you enjoyed it Jason :)
It's funny, in 2022 I hesitated between taking this GM lens or the 55mm 1.8 from Zeiss despite its age and in the end after testing both I enjoyed using the 55mm more instead of the GMaster even if the 50mm 1.2 gm is very excellent and I am delighted with my choice, it is this lens that I will never replace, same with my 24-70 gm mark 1 because both still very impressive in their time
I recently went through the same thing except with the GM 1.2 versus the GM 1.4 and I settled on the 1.4 surely because it felt more fun to shoot. I am guessing because of the weight and size in my hand.
Do you use nd filter? I can say you mastered the best focal length. 50mm
Sometimes I use a ND filter, it really depends on the lighting conditions (if it’s too bright) and my settings (if I want to use slower shutter speeds). I appreciate the comment 🙏
I have this lens and it's pure magic
Everyone wanna photograph Tokyo
Loved this video!
Glad to hear 🙌
Why are your photos so annoyingly dark?
Because he likes
@@nesukexfodex 🤣.
It´s not easy to get this. II like it
Style choice I guess! Some photographers overexpose and some under. I personally like the look of both, it adds a moody feeling to the images or dreamlike quality in the case of the former.
@@samuelhill3055 wish the composition was better. There's a few good ones that work Dark.
Your video production is exceptional, like a Nolan film, maybe need more lens info though lol
Nolan is boring
Thanks! I love Christopher Nolan's work. I'm not too into the technical aspects of camera gear, I only learn and understand enough for my purposes. But I know not everyone is like me, so I will try and add a bit more technical info in future videos.
Hey Moses, great video right there. just subscribed, hope to learn more here
Thank you :) Looking forward to showing you more of my work.
yo great video, can you list the audio used? (especially the first one please!)

Hi Moses, stunning video - again! A Work of art, exceptional fotos and great visuals accompanied by very good sound and music. A Masterpiece.
They too dark
Thanks Dirk, really appreciate the kind words.
Impressive. I like your orange and teal look colour scheme as well, which i found on your instagram.
Lets go! What a masterpiece 👏
Thanks Wil 😊
Dude your name is awesome. Very historic... part prophet part philosopher.
Appreciate it, they're both very significant inspirations in my work
I love those drag shutter photos! So moody!!! Was IBIS on for those?
Thank you. Yes, I did have IBIS on for every slow-shutter photo
if you come again to japan (tokyo) please tell me ,because i live near tokyo
i wonder how you can get drone footage wooow
This is great, I was thinking of getting this camera. I now feel very well informed and will likely buy! Your art is also very cool, I am a fan
Glad to help and thanks for the kind words 🙏

Your images suck
love your style, very impressionistic. blur with intention can be very cool and evocative
Thank you, it’s a style I’ve been working on for the past 6-8 months now. I’m glad you like it 😊
Wow I love blurry photography. It’s a style that I seek but can never get right. Have you heard of Tom Jacobs? He does something similar with bird photography
It’s a very difficult technique, I still find myself struggling to achieve the look on some days I’m shooting. But when you get even 1 image perfected, it makes it all worth it. I haven’t heard of Tom Jacobs but I’ll definitely check him out 👌
Well done
Appreciate it
how do you create such captivating video but yet such repulsive stills?
Kind of funny that the first sample photos are all blurry, considering that the biggest feature is the new image stabilization. But cool pictures, don't get me wrong haha
If you’re referring to the images about a minute into the video, they are demonstrating use of a long shutter speed to get motion blur effect. IBIS is actually useful for this effect as well.
felt the same way :P it was like hearing "amazing images" - but seeing shaky cam footage xD - I understand there was artistic intent behind the shots, and I'm not saying they're bad - in fact, they were very cool and interesting! But it's just that they're not necessarily the poster child of what people say when they mean an "amazing shot".
In retrospect, I should have worded myself better 😂 Like someone else mentioned, IBIS does assist in capturing the slow shutter effect in most of these images, but I can acknowledge that this style is experimental and does not always show a camera’s capabilities on a technical level.
@@moses.aureliusdude this review is everything to me, we have a similar shooting style so i’m extremely happy to have finally found someone who’s using it the same way i would. the ibis was extremely useful in these images! it’s so nice to see some character in a sea of clinically clean x100VI reviews.
Thank you moses ❤
Thank you for commenting ❤️
Nice video. In 7 weeks I'll be there doing the same thing..... Thanks for the inspiration. LOVE the editing on the pics. The man in the booth was a stunning pic. Subscribed!!
Appreciate the comment. You’re going to love Tokyo!

Incredible video ! TH-cam recommendations are sometimes so great
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I spent nearly 4 weeks in Tokyo so expect more videos like this on my channel 😊
