skill cap is much higher is csgo, valorant is more casual so you can probably reach a top 1% level within 300 hours of gameplay. In csgo that wouldn't be possible, you would prob need at least 2000 hours to even reach that height.

People should just listen to what a former CS:GO pro says, who also plays with Valorant pros a lot... he knows it better than you with your Diamond rank who never even tried CS. I played CS 1.6, CS:S and CS:GO and went to Valorant because it's easier. I'm 30+ now and CS on the highest level is just way too sweaty and time consuming. In Valorant it's fun to play mid-high ranked without much pressure and thanks to the Anti-Cheat you don't have many cheaters. In CS you basically need to play FACEit or ESEA to get rid of most cheaters and then you directly start the sweaty mode. Valorant is fun and I don't agree with some CS fanboys saying it's boring, but CS is still the much more adult game... Valorant is full of kids. And TenZ brought it to the point: Becoming pro on the highest level in CS is much more time consuming and way harder than becoming part of a Top 10 team in Valorant. In the end play whatever you want and don't listen to people telling you "this is better" or "this is trash", but always stay humble and try to take it serious and try to give your mates and opponents also a fun time. When you want to troll or when you are so angry that you would insult anyone anyways, then better don't play. As simple as that.

It’s always more impressive to see plays in CS compared to Valorant. And as someone who never really played these games, I find CS to just be an overall better game simply because of its simplicity. Valorant will 100% go down the same route as Siege and pretty much any and all hero type shooters. Poor long term development and greed.

The most annoying thing is that valorant players don't seem to understand what double peeking and trading is even as high ranks as asc. Everyone keeps peeking one by one. Holding site with someone and hearing enemies push u and flashing them to peek, your teammate is most likely just gonna sit in the corner and wait you to get kill or two and die before even considering to peek. Instead of just peeking with you and crushing those 5 enemies completely blind in front you two. In cs I got so used to that even in lowest ranks when u peek site or whatever to entry there's almost always automatically teammate right after you to double peek with you or trade you to gain control. But it's like such thing in val doesn't exist at all unless you try to tell your teammate exactly how when and what to do every single time IF they even happen to listen to you. It's so annoying every single time u peek to entry and end up dying and u see 3 of your teammates just shifting and hiding and letting the enemy get away with a free kill unpunished. And when you know how many rounds you could have won if even one of those 3 players peeked with me or traded me right away. And if u ask them about it it's always "maybe say something then". And even after you say about it, it'll be the exact same thing the rest of the match. Also they weirdly respect smokes way too much in val. Like even if we hear enemy rotating off the site and we have flashes and stuns etc to entry through the smoke and take the site, they just wait and wait the smoke to fade just so the enemy can place another smoke there and we have already wasted half of the round. After those 2 smokes the enemy has already gathered info around the map and already know where we are going and the flank is already there etc. Sometimes they wait the smoke to fade even when I have already ran through the site and continued my way to cut the rotation, I could still see my team waiting the smoke to fade before entering the site. This happened even in diamond. I have gotten ssoo many kills just by walking through smokes and getting the enemy player off guard ability in hand or holding another angle bc even the enemy knows that 99% of the players are just kindly gonna wait the smoke fade.
