Bad Boy | The Beatles - Bass Cover
Hello Everyone! Here is another cover; This time it's Bad Boy! This was a song was originally written and recorded by Larry Williams. The Beatles recorded their version on May 10th, 1965. They recorded the rhythmn track in only four takes, with take 4 being the best. John Lennon's lead vocals, tambourine, lead guitar, and a Vox Continental part were all overdubed. According to The Beatles Recording Reference Manual, this was the first Beatles song to feature the Vox Continental V301J Organ!
Althought it's not the most flashy bassline of McCartney's, it is still a fun bassline to play to a great rocker of a song! Unfortunately, I had to reupload as the original was blocked for copyright.
Gear:
Hofner HCT 500/1 Violin Bass
Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Audio Interface
Bandlab
Used In-DAW Compression, Tape simulator, and EQ
Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy! :)

Eight Days a Week | The Beatles - Bass cover
มุมมอง 975หลายเดือนก่อน
Hello everyone! This is a bit of a different thing then what I have done on my channel so far but it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time and was my original idea for this channel. I've always wanted to make videos playing my favorite songs (espeically Beatles songs) and show the world (and here is my first real attempt at it). This is a very bouncy, fun bassline to play and I re...

I thought this version was really cool because the drum part, played by the great Steve Jordan, is the same as the Live in L.A. version which I love but it also still has the feel of the orginial BB King version. Also side note, this picture is from another concert on the tour. I couldn't find any for this concert so I used this picture that I found of him! Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

I've always love the demo version of this song but I've always struggled to learn the guitar part since it's a little different from the final album version and it's hard to hear. So, I isolated the guitar part! Hope you all enjoy! Here is a link to video where I found the demo version. Go check it out! : th-cam.com/video/WXKasbRtNvU/w-d-xo.html

One thing to note: Charlie Hunter played on this track. He uses a guitar/bass hybrid so he is playing both the guitar part and bass part on one instrument. I would've added in the guitar part with it but unfortunately, I have yet to find a good isolater for guitar. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!

Coming Up better bass line
I think this should put to rest any doubts on who played on the finale of Dear Prudence
Love the tone you're getting out of that Hofner. Great playing! Love the feel you put into it, makes even a simple bassline rock harder
Thank you, I appreciate it! :)
Последний выдох господина Пэ Жо.
I wish mayer starts playing these blazing fast blues licks again in his recent stuff. ❤
I used to sit and play with Spanky Alford, years ago. He's the one that taught me about Pino and these amazing records.
1:15 Big Shot?
Awesome this was one of my favourites as a teen in 1979. That flamenco guitar solo is magnificent too.
too much delay
Great job
First song i was ever taught. Shout out mike perkins
Wilton Felder was such a groovy and persistent bassist i can see why Barry White would use him on countless sessions he just lays in the pocket with such finesse
Even with the Bass being isolated my mind is filling in the blanks beat for beat. But honestly it's really making me appreciate the bass even more <3 lol
I've been looking for live performance footage I'm like if he was singing and playing that at the same time ? 😮 .... I thought I would see him on the piano on this one or the bongos but no he did it like a champ
Finally someone isolates the bass on this song. Everyone's always talking about how great the bass line is and I had no idea what they're talking about. Finally this! Thank you for posting this.
Just beautiful. Your music is just brilliant. Hooked😊
That's when Paul was out to prove himself to the world that he had something to offer post Beatles. And although his songwriting wasn't quite what it was in 1968, his voice and his bass playing were at the top of their game.
This is awesome! Can you do Still feel like you man please? This whole album is just perfect
What can I say that hasn’t been said already magnificent
Pino is the master of going hard while never showing off. Legend.
Superb line Macca, rubbish sound when isolated. thats his great style as on the record it sound great!!
While "Kissing My Love" was not a huge hit (#31 U.S. pop 1973) , it's still a good work by Billand should be just as much a thought as Lean On Me or Aint No Sunshine.
ok uncle paul is a genius
Awesome 👍
So good thank you
Epic Rhythm section

Moving on and getting over Are not the same, it seems to me 'Cause you've been gone, I'm growing older But I still can't seem to get you off my mind And I do believe I feel you all the time Moving on and getting over Are not the friends they used to be It's been so long since I got to hold you But I still can't seem to get you off my mind And I do believe I feel you all the time, all the time Tell me I can have the fact you've loved me to hold onto Tell me I can keep the door cracked open, to let light through For all my running, I can understand I'm one text away from being back again But I'm moving on and I'm getting over I'm-a getting over, I'm getting over I got to get over Moving on and getting over It's been so long; it just goes to show you That I still can't seem to get you off my mind And I sure would like to see you one more time It's taken me so long just to say "so long" Maybe it's all wrong, but I'm moving on I'm gonna get a new girl, it's something I can do, girl To try to get me through, girl 'Cause I'm moving on I'm moving on And I'm moving on I'm moving on And I'm moving on Consider me as good as gone 'Cause I'm moving on I'm moving on Moving on, baby Moving on Moving on Moving on, oh
Sounds amazing. Bloody Paul, what a genius!!!!
I don't know how accurate this is; but I envision them recording this song in the studio with Marvin Gaye just humming and harmonizing and the band members going off the vibe; I then see Gordon Staples getting the instrumental a few days later, and then him and his strings overdubbing over the original track. I then see Paul Riser using his genius to mix and arrange this song in the studio. I don't know how accurate this is but this is how I see it when I listen to the instrumental.
GRACIAS POR ESTA BELLEZA!!
"Whenever it raiiinss --- "
Thank you so much

How the fuck do you get this tone?!?!?
Yamaha BB1200 bass with roundwound strings and a little compression
@@kewkabeAre sure those are rounds? They kinda sound like flats to me.
Love you Marvin ❤❤allway
How was this separation made?
I used a website called MVSP.com and you can put any song into it and it'll isolate any part that you want. It uses AI so it can be a bit of a hit or miss kind of thing but don't let that discourage you from trying it out!

Good job butthead
Amazing
Love it. I never heard this version
This is amazing, I love hearing the bass. It sounds like a frettess overdub at 2:37 which I never had heard before. Please do more songs
Pino changing the game playing this lick
