How many reps do you do per day of this shit
10-15 times before I start introducing combos into play for 3 hours. I gotta start repping slower would probably help.

Ya for drilling jab cross, but ide like to have it in my combos that involve kick, but appreciate the positivity.
It's counter productive kicking with your leading leg after the cross because the hips are already going in the opposite direction, which means no power in that kick, if your opponent steps back or catches your leg, your going on the ground. A round house or low kick with your rear foot is better.
So for this combo in general it’s better as a setup for the kick, it’s not after the cross it’s after the jab/jam, but I get what ur saying.

Switch your legs on the last punch (so that you go southpaw) and it becomes a straight left. Now youre in position to throw the kick with power and step back into orthodox with it. Dont switch your left foot too far back tho. Put it just behind your right foot and then kick. Basically turn it into a switch kick and shift your feet on the punch before you kick. Better power and balance that way. The kick your trying to throw is rarely there unless opponent is running backwards anyway. Youl be to close after the punches.
"Cutting Side Kick" "Sidekick" "Power Side Kick" and "Lunging Side Kick aka Hop Step Side Kick"... You just did the Cutting (Half Chamber) which is to disrupt and or stuff kicks... and you did the Power Side Kick.. and they look good.. Cheers!

haha, you know me well lol... Was going to say point your toes right to the ground in your chamber and it disactivates the muscles in your lower leg... So you react and kick faster of the chamber... Though a lot of Karate schools and even Taekwondo school will say the toes back is correct but those guys don't have side kicks like me.. lol Dead ass side kicks are kinda my jam.. people usually ask me, how do you side kick so good? And I usually just tell them I use my butt muscles and turn my chest away... i have a low chamber too... its like i get my foot inbetweenn me and my opponent fast as I can because the force is all in me straighened out my body and pushing with my butt.. so Ive tormeneted champions with my side kick :'D One of the few things im actually good at
Half chambered is just quicker on the response, though lacks the full power of chambered. It still has some power to it.

Purposely wasn’t chambering the sidekick but thanks for insight, none of those would bounce off 😂😂. not every kick has to hurt, same goes for punching, it’s all about set ups and fakes, if you’ve ever fought you’d know one powerful kick doesn’t always end the fight, that’s the purpose of combos,but I agree.

Not gonna lie that was cooler than if you just landed it perfect.. because it showcased your reflecxs against the unexpected.. plus it just looked cool af my boi! Almost looked like you were stopping half way thru a follow up spiing leg sweep... that would be a 540 round kick into a 360 sweep.. that would have been insane too..

It helps for sure, gets you use to moving with your feet and throwing combos, every now and again I’ll do a heavy spar, though to make sure what I’m doing works for a real fight.

I like that 🔥🔥”young twinkle toe”. Still a beginner boxer though. My takeaway from boxing is the head movement and feet movement, I’m trying to put more work into those, ima post a little snippet in a couple hours.

When you do this, the spinning side kick is there... instead of duck and spinning off line alone.. you can round kick step over and off line into the spinning back kick same time if only your momentum is going forward. Succesion Progression.

@@jstargod1543 Yeah you need a refrsher for sure.... but i see it in you still.. especially your hook kick was flawless so I know you arent some poser... hook kick isn't something you can mimick.. you have to specifically know exactly what it is... there is no faking it.... I'm 2nd Dan Black World Taekwondo and ITF both... My Last fight was last year... felt like I was getting old and my body would respond to my mental commands.. that's when I knew hey this is perfect time to end on a good note.. good history.. never got hurt... and got to leave completely unharmed and never been finished... no one has scored a knockdown on me... and I've only been taking down twice in my entire life... both to highly qualified specialists in doing just that.. I was blessed by God.. what comes next for me.. is teaching fighters what they are doing wrong... I don't waist time.. i don't care about feeling.. I care about perfection... that's my master instructors way too... Big facts on the refresher, i remember 70% of what I learned so I’ve just been going off that. damn unfortunate, you had to retire but at least you had a great run. I would say at least keep up with the training it’s healthy and so ur body wont stiffen up to much. I was impatient I had the rank and I was good but I wasn’t the right age to enter competition, so I stopped going.
THIS looks fire! After that kick LANDS.. do not plant the same kicking foot behind you where it started.... You plant your foot in the direction of the black fan after kicking with the back right leg.. deeeep step towards the fan and duck... so right round kick... pause, rechamber, pause.... then with that chambered right leg... step deep towards the fan with that same foot that just kicked before it ever goes back to the ground... but have to duck your head/body down and away from them. arm protects the body in the roll... this puts you not only away from the center... you will be now quarter turn to him... meaning your back will now be to the fan and your first will be facing the camera.. Thats small stuff stuff.... the full sequence, the speed, the form.. the way you put the combos together.. the hook kick was hot... 9/10... not returning to the same spot after the kick would have got you a flawless 10/10.. still like what I see tho very much. Not going to lie.. you looked the most on point here... the check hand.. the guard... how you moved your body...you're legit...
The kick itself and all that was perfect.. only where you placed your feet AFTER the kick that was wrong.. So you got the absolutely hardest part which is the form on the kicks and perfect form on your guard... where to place your feet after is easy to leveled...the shit that is easy and not hard to lean you havent done.. but that which is hard and takes fine tuned skill.. that you got down... problem is the devil is in the details... you already know ima give you credit only where its due.. and i ain't gonna hold you.. you know that.
I Just be training every day fixing what needs to be fix before I go back in for sparring, and ur 100% right will work on that tomorrow great articulation makes it easy to replicate.🙏🏾

I wouldn’t do this in an actual spar or fight, wouldn’t even work 😂 the whole point is to loosen up.

Down to the fine-tuning for sure... cleaning up your check hand for stopping real jabs... and really want to see you squat.. I didnt send bend your knees.. I say fricking squat like you shitting in the woods.. you should be walking around in your boxing stance like you crab walking with a stick up your ass... you CANNOT fight like this standing up... standing tall and on theheels of your feet... get off your heels... squat low.. low A F... you should be able to quickly slap the ground with your rear hand.. if you cannot do it smoothly.. you are way too f-ng high.. okay...keep this advanced training up...
The check isnt a slap its a push... with the bottom of your palm only shove the jab.. but that whole arm should be locked to your body.. and so the rotating of your body in place is what gives the power behind the stopping motion of the check... so when they jab.. if you slap like that... and aim the hand down like that and no out toward their face... you screwed.. get that right. Picture giving a kid high five... now this time give the high five without having your arm on the side of your body... instead have the high five in between you and them.. in front of your chest basically... now big face their jab. Doing this you can even stop full force straight punches if you have good composer and form. cheers as always my martial arts brother.

@@jstargod1543 This is what I mean.. by LOCK your arm to your body.. the point is definitely don't slap at the jab... I basically keep my palm glued to my chin... when i check jabs i rotate my body in place which creates power in my check without removing it from my face.. if i don't rotate my shoulders and body.. then checking means my hand leaves my face... but if i rotate in place and don't move my arm from my body.. the hand naturally moves when i move my body.. this creates a check... when you never leave your guard... its very advanced... its not basics...

Checking is a hard block... slams full force into the punch 1 inch from your face... don't reach for the strike which is exactly what I was saying by "DOnt slap" punches.. put the back of your hand on your chin.. and keep it ther.e. now i want you to rotate your chest back and fourth... rotate all the way left and all the way right.. watch what your hand does.. it follows your body... so that mechanic.. in combat.. when they jab to your face.. you essentially throw your back shoulder at their jab while the back of your hand is glued to your chin.. so the jab hits your palm as your body roates into it.. in martial arts we don't kick or punch with arms to legs.. we doeverything with the body thru the body..
more hip rotation please in the cross punch...turn your shoulders and use your whole range/lengh of your arms because like this you will get hit while no landing a punch. but good speed and explosiveness
