I've been doing a playthrough of this game, while it's kinda fun, the game's story makes no sense, and the missions are kinda dumb.

It's not about the quality, it's about the gameplay.

As a warthunder player, this looks intriguing

people dont realise that ac7 isnt a sim, its an arcade game also i think we know its unrealistic bc of the 100-foot flying wing that deploys an impenetrable energy force field, robot guided drones with a less-than-one-second turn time, and a fucking laser rail-gun hybrid thingy

Realism is boring, you spend months just learning about how to fly the plane, and it takes 1 hour to even start it

I literally played ace combat because my friend described it to me as “armored core with planes” like you are STUPID if you go into this expecting a flight sim

It's crazy how you people spend countless hours debating stupid shit on the internet.

But the lasers and flying fortresses are no excuse to make a game not realistic. It is only not realistic in favor of an instant action psychodelic gameplay, because all of those things could be in a game with realistic mechanics. Its called suspension of disbelief, and any good sci-fi writer should be able to make it plausible at least if not realistic (like star trek for example, they have ships and lasers and teleporters yet the scenes are realistic). Also, with intelligent game design, its possible to make a game as realistic as possible without sacrificing gameplay, just like kingdom come deliverance.
