Just sent my size 9 back to dealer. They felt just about to small. Didn't know there was half sizes too. At least not in Sweden. I bet they would have fitted me perfect. So I'm waiting for the size 10 to arrive. Really hope they will fit me
Probably great for a work boot. But I hate that goofy looking outsole. Way too busy.
I am gonna pick up a pair... sick of buy cheap steel toes that fall apart in a few months... also sick of tying my boots 😆
These are tempting due to their heavy discount over Blundstones, but Redback's soles look like winter wellies while Blundstone is more shoe-like
you cant just say v cut is for people with a different shape... you have to specify what's the difference! or is it more for women?
Respect for still making them in Ozzie land. Most comfortable work boot in Canada
I bought these boots and they are rough inside. They tear up my socks.
If you want to read what the dumbest people on earth have to say, read these comments. Insane. No wonder half the idiots out there have the wrong size shoes.
Would that be a Imperial Metric??? Size???
I recently bought the 10.5 because I'm a us 11 wide but they just seem too small. I can feel the edge of rear insole under my heel. Don't know if it will loosen up or if I should purchase a Uk11.5 size?
Is this a size down from tennis shoe size or boot size? Im 11 in addidas and 10d in red wing heritage boots.
Please listen to this and not Reddit, mine are 2-3cm too long (11.5) since Reddit said size up for boots and size up for Redbacks, they still fit well and don't slide but I'm a little concerned cause I'm still breaking them in and unsure if the (unsuited) arch support will continue hurting my ankles and heels I took the gamble and listened to Reddit since they're usually right when it comes to random things like this, also I have other shoes that are 11UK and are a little small but also 9 which fit perfectly (both similar Nike models)
Did you ever figure this out? I'm normally an 11.5, I was thinking about getting these in a 12.
their size guide seems accurate and I should've stuck to it (I picked 11.5 instead of 9/9.5 because Reddit basically said go 2 sizes about normal/US which was a bad idea lol), Redback uses UK sizes so 0.5 only adds 5mm width and nothing to length (changes them from a G to I think H width) 11.5US would be 10/10.5 for Redback length, would suggest get the wider ones and larger ones (so 11.5UK) if you ever plan on wearing 2 layers of socks, better to be a little big than small. They allow returns but won't refund postage costs (roughly £22/$29 for me if I used Evri) Mine don't cause pain despite being 2 sizes too big for me and they are noticeably slidey with one thin sock layer though but still comfortable and BARELY slidey with 1 pretty thick layer. They don't feel fully snug until like 3 pretty thick layers (which is excessive for where I live) If possible try find a local store with them (there's not much)
Great to meet you today in London! Thanks for the rejuvinator. My Bstones did not spontaneously combust and look much better than before applying it.
where can you buy them in the US
Which one is best for just daily walking most comfortable?
I ended up having to oil mine the second day after purchase. They got a stain from a dark liquid or oil that would not come out with Redback suede/nubuck cleaning kit. I’m ok with the now darker appearance that is still lighter than there brown models.
Canadian? They're only made in Australia!
If you are a womens size 6 you need a size 5, if you need extra width you need a .5. This man is clueless!
Will this product stains pant cuffs when they rub on the boots?
Really want a pair of these, but I bought an expensive pair of Thursdays recent and had sizing issues, even after sending them back for another size. Online boot shopping is hit or miss. I’m an 11.5 D in Irish setters. And those are my current go to work boots. Anyone have any suggestions?
Yeah, buy some.
@@sam-ww1wk got some in June they are my favorite boots now.
Do they have the same fitment as the easy escapes?
For such a well established boot of great quality there sure is a shortage of dealers. Im in Minnesota, USA and there are no dealers, Ive even contacted Redback about this. This makes getting a proper fit rather difficult because you have to order the boots, try them on, and send them back for an exchange if they don't fit properly. The sizing is different than the norm as I wear a 12 (US) in everything but a 12 (US) is too loose in a Redback. I'm going back and forth now trying to order a correct fit.
What ended up being your size?
A UK 10.5 fits me, which is a US 11.5.@@jeremym1706
Just got a pair and wore them on a hike (first time wearing them) and they gave me blisters on my heel. I'm hoping this is just part of the break in process. Is this typical? the length/size seems to be appropriate.
Yeah these boots were confusing for me. I got a size 11 they were too roomy, then got a size 10 and were way too tight.
How come they do not sell this in the USA?
It’s called the Mesa in USA. Available again at the time if this this reply.
How come they do not sell the Tussock color here in America?
If my boots, (easy escape’s) my foot doesn’t slide forward like that do I need to go up to the next size?🤔
Have purchased 5 pairs now they last twice as long compared to other boots I have worn over the years
Great information. I will be getting a pair of puma brown great barrier boots soon. (1) Is the care you describe the same for the Aquapel leather? and (2) I'm trying to avoid buying yet another leather conditioner, would application of Huberd's Shoe Grease or Venetian Leather Balm be similar to the Redback branded conditioner?
Trying to find the bobcat greenpatch with the scuff cap. Can't find it listed anywhere. Closest thing I can find is the easy escape HD steel toe, but, it doesn't have the lenzie puncture protection midsole. I'm coming from blundstone, working construction and definitely need the lenzie and toe cap. Can anyone point me to a retailer that carries the bobcat greenpatch with the scuff cap? Thanks **answered, only the easy escape comes withe the scuff cap. No scuff cap on the Canadian greenpatch (bobcat) **
Hi. I just got my redbacks. I'm wondering why the leather is white in the middle layer? I thought it was full grain leather. I'm worried it will scratch easily?
White?
Funny…he never mentioned cold weather…..and he is in Canada They are so cold below zero…even with sheepskin inserts and two pairs of Socks your feet will freeze
not surprising, given that they are made in Australia for the Australian climate..
These aren’t a winter boot. However I always wear a leather Chelsea boot like these in the coldest part of the country, and never had any issues with feet freezing for casual use in the winter. If you are working outside in the cold, wear winter boots.
@@SkidooMXZTNT Yes, same. I wear my Redbacks all year round. Great for running errands and short walks in the winter. If I'm shoveling snow or walking in knee deep snow for an extended period ya, I wear appropriate winter footwear.
Great boots but Don’t wear in winter….they are COLD
Thick socks wont make a difference..?
WOuld it be OK to use a spray on suede leather protector like Liquiproof on these?
I just purchased the Nevada few days ago. I noticed there is a white tag in between the back pull tag that has the manufacturer date and batch number. My boots were made 1 year ago. So I'm guessing they were in a box at the store all this time. Is there anything I should be worried about that a 1 year old boot was sold to me?
No worries at all. It takes time to get the boots from our factory in Australia to Canada to our dealers and finally to your foot. Our warranty is one year from date of purchase.
Can't get these boots off the leg? For example, while climbing mountains, the leg can't come out?
I'd try a pair if they had a toe cap I'd destroy them in a month Can't seem to find them with it.
Redbacks run small. Yes, I own a pair and love them.
So then size up to the original size?
@@chrisz.9974 if you’re US - order one size *LARGER* in Redback, IMO
I have a pair and have wore them just a hand full of times and the sole are coming off
Really? I have done a lot of research on these boots since I'm on my feet all day and need a comfortable yet durable boot. Almost every review, forum, and video talks about their durability. Most of the reviews are from blue collar workers that use them everyday and they say they last for several years. Maybe you got a defect?
I m from Bali indonesia, how i can buy it ??
Take a quick flight to oz
For women buyers, just beware that the provided AU-US size conversion is actually a mess. It shouldn't be US -3 = AU (as stated in the video), or US-2.5 = AU (as shown in Redback official site), because if you do so it is guaranteed to be extremely tight. Unless you enjoy your feet being squeezed and confined all the time, you should go with the US -2 = AU sizing strategy (which is what Dr Marten sizing is, and note that UK size = AU size). Ironically the men's size conversion is accurate. I went through a very painful processes to figure out my size. Though the boots themselves are very comfortable, I am very disappointed to Redback not offering absolute cm-based feet size in their size chart, and messed up women size conversion.
The women’s sizing is innacurate.
Good afternoon i purchased a pair of Nevada puma redbacks, my normal shoe size is a 9 so in redback i should be a 8 and the back of the boots are killing me.Is there a break in period or any advice for the back of the boot would be appreciated.
S-Express! Count down is progressing!
Been wearing the easy escapes for a few days now and my plantar fasciitis is completely gone! Most comfortable boot I've ever worn! This boot saved my feet so I won't complain too much about how stylish they are lol. If REDBACK made a more western style boot as comfortable as these, they would make millions more in the United States. Just sayin...
Really appreciate this video. I'm a customer of 15 yrs? or more? and just ordered a new pair and wow..........it's an experience. Right from the start. Best boots/shore I've ever had on my foot.
I mean...the website had all three sizes listed, Australia, US and Canada. Wasn't an issue at all. Just ordered some yesterday and I cannot wait to get my comfortable boots! Been wearing doc martins to work and they are giving me sore heals (plantar fasciitis). Rose Anvil said this was the most comfortable boot he's ever worn and helps with the soreness.
Did you end up liking them? Considering getting some Redbacks
@@Caspian_77 YES I DO! I wear them everyday! Made my foot pain completely go away and after a long 8-10 hour shift my feet still feel good to go. Seriously buy some! I will probably be wearing Redbacks for the rest of my life. I wish they had more stylish boots with the same comfort though. I got the easy escapes. Best boot I've ever owned. I recommend getting some moleskin to help break them in.
@@OfDeath Thank you so much for the detailed reply!! Im actually excited to get them
@@Caspian_77 You won't be disappointed. I feel like doctors should prescribe Redbacks as a cure for foot pain. Lol
They're a great boot for squashing redbacks.
Nice to see the toe cap has come on the steel toe model thats what ive been waiting for on the redbacks
Did you ever find a pair with the toe cap? Can't find them anywhere...
@David Moxon nope haven't seen a toe cap on the red blacks yet
I just ordered a pair to a store, didn’t have my size or I’d have it rn, also didn’t want to pay before I tried them on. CSA certified from Mister Safety Toe. Hopefully this is able to hold up to the hype.
@@Thepandorasbox it turns out that they only have the scuff cap option on the easy escape HD steel toe model, (USA). Not available for the csa approved greenpatch steeltoes in Canada. It's too bad the USA model doesn't have the Kevlar puncture-proof midsole, I live 10 minutes from the border. As it turns out, I tried the bobcat redback on yesterday, in my regular size, too loose, and a half size down, too tight. Looks like I'm sticking with the blundstones after all.
@David Moxon are the half sizes in the redbacks the same as the blundstones meaning "wide fit"?
my foot is 33cm , nike size 15 US every day of the week... what size do i need in these boots? thanks. 14UK or 15UK..
My favorite boots very strong endurance and long lasting
So your saying if I normally wear a 10.5 I should wear a 9?
