I had the below persistent codes and after checking all the wiring and replacing the oxygen sensors I still had the engine management light on every third time starting the car. 002C9C ME: Oxygen sensor heating before catalytic converter, activation and 002C9E ME: Oxygen sensor heating after catalytic converter, activation fault Using INPA I found a wiring diagram which shows there are 2 fuses ...

Hey Zen. I have a e66 bmw not that the model matters but I had to replace the ASK unit and the Radio screen(I don't know th name of the unit). Do you know how to code it to VIN? I can’t find anywhere online how to do it

I got e90 base sound system. If I got the BMW hifi Amp can it be direct plug in? Or need special adapter or reprogramming?
You say fuses i will check it again but they were all ok in the glove compartment. When i open the engine one it does not have any by the looks of it.
Hi, hope you ok. Could you help me please. I may have a similar problem ref to this video. I have 318i N43 2.0 petrol, replaced both sensors to oem Bosch. But engine management light still on. I've got diagnostics code of 2C9C with PO31 and PO37 ref to both sensors problem. Can't figure it out, I don't want to take to garage they charge arm and leg for tiny jobs these days. Please help. Thanks.
did u create new adaptations after changing sensors?
In the end I found the problem to be just the oxygen sensor heater fuse. I had used a fuse bridge to power my amp and this was taking power away from the oxygen sensor.
I am planning on upgrading only my base midrange and subs, to the hifi, do I need to code it in?

Hello, both precat oxygen sensors (bank 1,2) are ok. Chech below in the middle of the screen why you have zero on the multiplicative adaptations on both banks. This is not good.

I think it can be coded within the radios hidden menu 😉. Do you know if the display unit can be coded to show current speed km/h instead of gasolin usage ..?
If you mean on the IDrive screen then not that i know of, but you can for the small display on the dashboard. In KOMBI you can change BC_DIGITAL_V to aktiv to enable it. You can also change BC_DIGITAL_V_KORREKTUR to nich_activ to get the true speed on the digital speedometer
I dont think you can change the settings in the secret menu of iDrive. If yes, then how would I do that?
Yes the screen can be coded to show speed but no, what’s shown here regarding radio CAN NOT be coded through hidden menu.
I have a bmw with n43 engine. Can the black exhaust be the fault of the nox sensor? If the problem is something else?
Hey Zen. Where did you get the EXPERTMAN profile? I’m in an ‘09 328xi and had to replace the amp. I bought it second hand online off someone. It’s a HiFi and that’s what I previously had. I just don’t think it came out of the same series.
If you have ncs expert program on your computer I can email over the different profiles.

what is the point of this? is this only if you make hardware upgrades?
The base E90 audio has 4 speakers + 2 subwoofers. It has not got any tweeters, and no amplifier. The radio itself does the amplifying. Therefore, when you upgrade to Hi-FI system, i.e. 2 tweeters in front and 2 in the back + 4 better speakers and 2 better subwoofers + different cable bundle and amplifier in the trunk. If the radio is not coded, it will distort the sound, as it will still try to amplify the sounds and the wiring is different, so it will sound like shit. That is why it needs to be coded, to accomodate the different arhitecture, which is not only plug and play, but different wiring aswell and different ways for the signals, which is different from the signals from the standard setup.
@@legioner9 underetood, but once upgraded via ncsexpert... can the wiring be like: The input signal wire is tapped from the 2 underseat subwoofer to a low/high converter with a RCA output into the amp. Is that okay? As its currently connected this way expect with basic stereo and the sound on the new amp+subwoofer is very low Hope some1 can confirm
@@M12MA There is a thread on bimmerforums which describes how the signals are split between the radio and speakers on the E90, it's like a 15 minute search
@@legioner9 hi - would you know if radio wire out put is high voltage or low voltage output, if you set/ program the radio as HiFI system output?. I am aware of that the radio is set for highly equalised high bass and high diskant in basic/ buisiness/ professionel settings.

I have the same problem after upgrading from ccc to cic, and from standard to Individual audio. The low tones(bass) are really bad. Any idea? Thank you!

@@legioner9 RAD or RAD2. I couldn’t get it to work straightaway but after leaving the car overnight it seemed to just work.
Is it as bad as the forums say 'cause it sounds pretty good in my opinion
I personally think it sounds great. Huge improvement over the standard system. The highs and bass is much improved. I admit at very high volume the bass does distort a little. Most of the time is very good.
@@zensdiy7902 Thank you for the response.If only at very high volume the bass distorts then i am happy because i don't listen to music at 20+ volume.
@@zensdiy7902 how do u tell if it’s hifi or not. I’m looking at one I want to buy but can’t tell what speaker system it has. It’s got the speaker and tweeter in the same spot as this car.
@@codzy2850 Base E90 Stereo doesn't have Tweeters, Hifi and all the other systems do.
People in the forums are smoking opium 🤣💀 ive had the base, hifi, top hifi and Harmon kardon/ logic 7 and they all sound hella good, base sound system is kinda underwhelming compared to the others but it still performs better than anything it’s year.
