Good Job Mark! To bad for your overshoot just before PIT2… Could have challenged for P4.😊
A lack of concentration Jarno - will learn for next time.
Great job Mark! I was in the split below you. Our split seemed to have a bit less drama. The incidents replay had some poor driving. 🤣
Thanks Jesse. Looks like you had a great drive!
@melv45 I did much better than I expected! I minimized mistakes and made time up saving fuel and gaining time on pit stops.
congrates on p5 :-) great drive
Thanks Hylton! Wish i could go back and fix some mistakes.
@@melv45 Next time brother , yea i got TCR league this evening i will be stream to check out if you like
Unlucky start, but a very good comeback indeed. Just a shame that the incident robbed you of what would have probably been a great fight between you and Sebastian 👍🏻
Nice job mate - I despaired for you at the start but I should have had faith!
@@DC_F1 I keep going back there. Glutton for punishment!
So unlucky Mark. It was an unbelievable drive thou and very enjoyable to watch.
My break cable came away from the connector. I thought it was a RJ-11 but that doesn't seem to fit. Does anyone why what type of connector goes from the brake to the control box?
@@TheGJRuppert you could ask in the Facebook group. Someone will know.
are you still loving the Simjack pedals?
@@LoOnyCal I am! Done a few tweaks but newer versions already have this. Incredible pedals for the money.

Hi, You use 6x90mm and 6x140mm screws or 8x90mm and 8x140mm screws on that build? Now I also build this rig for myself, but I don't know which screw to use.
Hi Robert - i used 6x90 and 6x140. Keep me posted, would like to see it when its done!
I send you some pictures in discord when its done 😊
Good result Mark. You were there ready to pounce when you needed to be. Looking at the replay at the end though, you cam pretty close to contact as the car was rejoining from the right
@@nock-racing Cheers Nick. Was pretty eventful. Glad to finish and we ended up with a win as Dempsey was a guest only.
I just stumbled on this video, and what a great video it is. I am looking at the simmsons pro pedal set, which is basically the same as simjack. The only thing that was holding me back was that i wasnt sure they would work on some of the sims you showcase in this video. And now i found the answer..you sir are a legend..thank you very much 👍👍👍
@@kennethc7130 my pleasure. Glad it was some use to you! These were the “older” pedals. Newer versions should be even better. Good luck with the pedals, I am sure you will be impressed
@@kennethc7130 we have a Facebook group for the simjacks but also relevant for Simmsons. Drop by and have a look at various mods. Nearly 5000 members in there and I am admin.

Nice vid great driver behind u 😅
theres your sub 👋
Cheers Edward!
I would say wider entry to most of your turns would be a good tip. Allows for better runs out of the turn. You might be struggling with smoother braking into the turn.
What is the best way to calibrate them
Depends on the sim you are using. For iracing you can just calibrate in game. Have a look in the discord or FB group, loads of info in there.
@ do u have a discord

Some close racing there!👌
Wow. Race of the month from my pov. Insane start. Amazing battling. Hugely intense final lap. Great stuff. Would highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great racing there, could have easily been a worse outcome on many occasions, but at the same time very frustrating. It's a shame it was taken out of your hands and decided my the group of cars in front of you. I thought you'd done enough when Roland wend wide at the bottom of the Esses and you built the gap, but Nicolas was just to quick and the traffic wasn't kind to you.
Well that escalated quickly. Hopefully the iRating fund didn't take too much of a battering in this one Mark
Thanks Nick. 2024 has been a yoyo but ir staying around 3.3-3.4 which i am ok with. Can't keep blaming everyone else, I must try for better choices!
hy i send you a message at discord!!!
Hello, it's me again. I have already mentioned before that I made the same cockpit that you have with your plans, but I have only one problem and that is how to adjust the seat (in my case Ford Focus seat) to the wood. The rails are quite short and I don't know how to remove them to screw them to the wood, so I only screwed the back part and when braking too hard sometimes the seat rises. I don't know if I could leave you my email and you can send me some ideas or photos. Thank you very much for your help, your material is invaluable.
email me or contact through discord and i will show you what i have done - was very simple for me. melv45 on discord
@@melv45 i have send it ! >D
Well that certainly started getting spicy at the end there 🤣 Very smart move letting the other car past to drag you back up to the pack, just a shame you couldn't make anything stick. I don't know how John managed to keep his head in that one, that blinking was crazy
Thanks Nick - The blinking was not good at all. I need the SR so was happy to just finish!
I took 8 places.. Make sense now
Nice one, I’ve just done this and now the bar with the spacers just doesn’t fit back in anymore, only to find out I didn’t even need to take this apart cheers 👍 (Had to sand the black spacers down)
Awesome Mark :)
Thanks Dave. Really enjoyed it!
The last clip had me in stitches, the bonnet flying up 😂😂
Good racing Mark. Looked like you struggled a bit after losing the back of P1, don't know if you cooked the tyres a little, but it was a fun battle keeping Max at bay 👍🏻
Eventful week then 🤣
I have had better, thats for sure!
👀
You certainly made that harder work that need Mark :D I think what saved you at the end there was Matthew got a little bit of a slide on coming out of the uphill section, which then compromised his exit speed slightly. Good racing tho mate 👍🏻
Thanks Nick! I rarely make things easy. That uphill section is weird also - still think there is more time to find there with optimal line.
gg
Hi, did you predrill holes or just screw them in? I am affraid of cracking of wood, thx
No pre-drilling needed. Use good quality screws and you will have no issues.
So unfortunate with the slow down mate, 56 degree track certainty didnt help. Youre qualfying a lot higher this season! That big result is coming. But damn the top 5 group are quick. Think my aim is 6th every race now 😅
Cheers Adam. Definately since the tyre model changed back i can quali better - just need to work on other stuff as well now. You are flying - hard up there with these guys and also some in same team.
should've lifted more after slow down was given could've slotted back in the slip i am daytona master
All the damage is repairable
Thats was a great video Mark, loved the gr overtake in the final turn! You are a very fair driver and deserve a huge amount of credit for that. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
@@KeithBeee thanks! Much appreciated.
For the pedals, do you need the pedal plate? or could you just use some screws and put it straight into the wood? I ordered the pedals already, just wondering if you could do that
@@garb.5220 you might be able to if you put the wood (or more pieces) in the correct place. But a plate is a bit easier/neater especially if you want to angle the pedals a little. For me they are flat so it’s ok.
The good thing about wood - it’s very adaptable!
Call it Old Sparky!

I've had the wood to build mine since last fall and just haven't had the time (or nice enough weather on my day off) to get everything cut & built, same basic design in my head as yours but I plan on doing the monitor mount like the channel CKW did in a video 6 years ago "Triple Monitor Mount For Sim Rig". I'm planning on adding a sliding keyboard/mouse tray under the wheel like a traditional pc desk has.

Been trying the ray ford 1600 really nice car I keep trying PCC but keep getting wrecked lol think I will try the mustang at least the GRs will be out the way lol take it easy mate
It’s a real shame Lincoln has no consistency he’s got great pace but I find most of his decision making is very poor if he just settled down a bit he would defo get some great results your looking strong out there mate loving your driving style mate great vid as always brother
Thanks Chris! The new tyres are definately helping me this season - was struggling a lot before this. Hopefully see you on track soon, i have started doing Advanced more now also.
No sound for 1st 10 mins. My bad.
Got some air!!! Bummer for the guy in front. He had a massive save before getting hit.
