Can i do a manual regen at 54 percent soot?
I have the same setup i see the soot level go down to 7% before . I did a force regen on 10/28/ 24 driving from 83% it took 20 minutes in stop & go traffic & it droped to 12% this time.
Greetings, Do you regret buying the T7 over the KLR? Please, share your thoughts.
Greetings, As always another excellent detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 FYI, I am the same way researching researching... And I just found out the Yamaha T7 2024 has a clutch issue from the first 300 miles. I can justify buying a brand new motorcycle with clutch issues from the beginning. KLR is $4200 cheaper in my area (brand new) so I went back to my thought and decided to purchase the KLR. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Keep producing more motorcycles videos. (Please, let us know if you have any problems with the T7)
Personal truck is a 19 with the l5p and 6 speed. Company truck is a 21 with l5p and 10 speed. Exhaust brake works infinitely better on the 6 speed. I can't compare to the dodge because ive never driven one but i think its fantastic on the 6 speed
I did mine and same thing, same time frame and it went down to 5%......on a 40 mile trip back home it climbed back to 50%, over next few days of city driving it actually dropped back down to 15% and steadily climbed back up over next week agree 100%, let the driver determine when he wants to burn the crap out, at a time thats more convenient.....with all the technology they have should be easily doable
You know there’s a button to tell the truck to hold speed downhill? At least my Denali has it
Is your bike a '23? I have a '24 with the new screen and the center bracket is now a 4 bolt stock. It's impossible to get the old one out without loosening up the front assembly.
The drop from 12 to 2 percent could be passive regeneration...not certain about that. But it's a possibility.
Hot shot is over rated.
Some people are saying the I6 exhaust brake strength is due to the long stroke.
I’ve owned a 5.9 and 6.7 Cummins. Yes, the exhaust brake on the Cummins is second to none. But the 2024 Duramax with 10 speed is so much nicer IMO. The Cummins are nice to work on due to the I6 config. But for now I’m drinking the duramax koolaid!
did you need to drill and add a probe for the EGTs?
No it uses present sensors
I’m so glad I got the iDash and not an iPad like this one.
Do they make a set up to load from the back thinking for a golf cart
I can confirm that the same issue appears on mt-07 2024 to, so maybe xsr700, tracer7 and so on too?
how many claps are holding down all this weight? Is there a speed limit when utilizing this type of system to haul your atvs? great video.
I have this exact problem with 300 miles, calling the dealers to see what they can do about it.
Going to the dealership tomorrow because I didn't allow it to regen properly, albeit it. This is my first diesel but now it's just stuck on a check engine light saying reduce speed. 2024 Duramax 6.6 Lisa
I'm having the same issue. "Engine Power Reduced" - Can you elaborate on how you "didn't allow it to regen properly"? Want to make sure I'm not running into this issue again
Good info. Just bought a new T7 and am ordering these bars!
I wouldn't worry about those EGT's. Run it and enjoy the new truck!
Check out forscan... only on ford trucks it can be programmed to see dpf% while driving. And you can do a forced regen whenever you want. Why doesnt GM allow this
Okay so my window won't even go down or up, it just makes a weird scratchy sound from inside the module behind the door panel. Passenger and two rear windows work but if I try to make the driver side window go up or down then it's shorts out the passenger window temporarily but usually starts working after a minute or two. I tried your method but it didn't work unfortunately
Not impressed with them. The the bolt included to connect the front mount is not long enough to use.
They aren’t even comparable
Great video! I just got my crash bars. How did you tighten the engine bolts with the crash guard going over the top of the bolt?
The little launch it does it's normal for T7. I can't remember the details about why, but on forums on FB they have great explanations of that"issue". Great review. 💪💪
Worked on a 2020 classic as well. Auto up wasnt working for passengers window. Reset and now it works. Thanks bud!..
Beautiful bike and obviously the new model and if you look at the indicators they are actually styled as Yamaha's tuning forks. The eye is in the detail. I have a world raid and it's an awesome bike.
Wish it would fix mine! 😞
I'm ditching my 3.42 gears for 4.10's and going to 35s
Thanks Window went up and down to middle and auto quit working. Did the reset and it's back working.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video... just "fixed" my passenger window auto up issue!
Part 4? Thank you for these videos! Considering a 2024 right now. Going to check to make sure these issues have been resolved. Thanks!
you make the best choice man ! cheers from Greece ! a T7 lover !
Thanks for the great information. Worked like a charm.
The only part of this video that is unbelievable is that you offered a cash amount for the bike and the dealer counter offered with a lower offer........ gimme a break.
Banks iDash allows you to do a manual regen while driving
Great bike:) The LSK electronics offroad dongle for the ABS is worth it. Super easy to install and fixes the abs switching thing.
Does it work on a 2016 Ram 2300 ?
I had a KLR650 for awhile, and I found it wasn’t great at anything, but it was an absolute work horse, doohickey mod is absolutely necessary. I now own a Tenere 700, and it is better in every single way, great choice.
I got the same year and color. I'm a short guy, 5'7 on a good day and we're about the same weight. As far as this bike being top heavy, I've only noticed it while it's not in motion. That could be because I can only get a toe down on one side at a time at stock height and regular seat. I also researched for months between a T7 and the KLR. From everything I've read the Do hicky and Thermobob isn't a super common issue, if it's really an issue at all. Most of the negative stuff I came across was from "I know a guy that knows a guy that had X problem. I settled on the T7 for a couple main reasons, 6th gear, twin engine over single thumper, and the T7 looks amazing. I got mine mid November and just hit 1300 miles even through the winter. Something I would suggest, get a magnetic oil plug to swap out at the first break in. New hand protection is on my list of upgrades also, i took a nasty spill in some deep sand yesterday and it rotated the throttle side hand guard up and had my now cracked mirror so out of place I couldn't actually use it once I was back on hard top.
Thats a nice looking bike man, I would want one just like that. I am considering switching my Duke 890 ( street, non R ) for one to do more adventure.
Just got my blue 2024 last Friday!!!
Made the same decision yesterday after months of research. I didn’t sit on either of them. I will have to get it lowered though.
Thanks for a great review! I'm deciding between the Tenere, KLR, TransAlp, and V-Strom for a second moto. You made some great points that, for me, put the KLR out of the running. Definitely follow up with more reviews as you put on the miles!
Nice. I'm considering the same crash bars for mine. I have same bike. I installed the tusk 2track tires on mine. Made a short video if your interested. Cheers 🍻
Because you had 5 more grand to spend
Good job I am a NW Guy also!!! Tell me how you like it down the Road I have the 2023
Just put 300 miles on it. I would like more of an off road tire later down the line. Ordering crash bars and accessories at the moment. Very fun bike! Riding like an old man during break in period. I got 183 miles on the first tank, not bad in my opinion. Hope yours treats you well!
This bike is a golden, you can not even compare to KLR which is ancient.
Ha ha True That! had 2 KLR's and Cant believe they still have not make1 more Gear!!
