Thank you for this video very interesting ❤❤❤❤bravissima
Oh my all those expensive paints are dried out 😭
It's a good thing they reactivate :D Thanks for watching!
The world does not need my art. I just need to do it for my own therapy and sanity.
I'm so happy you are making art for you!
The encouragement I wanted today.
Hope it brought you a lot of creative energy :D
you need to replace your camera. i could not watch the video because of how choppy it was. the bits recorded on your computer are in sync, the rest of the video is not. I think it would be a shame if people skipped your content due to the poor camera quality.
Thanks for the feedback!
Stephanie, this was like medicine to the soul. Thank you! ❤❤❤
This made me smile, glad you liked it!
Thank you for sharing this. It was helpful.
Thanks so much for listening ❤️
So inspiring words❤️ tears in my eyes🥹 I’m in break at this moment but honestly feeling lost too…
We will keep creating! You got this!
I just found your channel and now I'm going to miss you for the rest of the year!
Clare thank you so much! Let me know if there are any art topics you would want to hear about in the future 😁
This was so beautiful. Thank you so much for this. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to feel worthy enough to use my art supplies or to dedicate time to making myself happy. The senses really are a great way to handle this anxiety overwhelm. I have PTSD, and if I were to stop creating, I would let trauma win. You’re right, there needs to be balance! Love this! Viewing another time, while setting up to create! ❤
I'm so happy that it spoke to you! Take care ❤️
Something we all need to remember. :) The world needs our art. WE need our art. :) Thank you for this.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Had to do some digging but 8 managed to track down the statement I used for a solo exhibition I had last summer. Curious your thoughts on it: Splatter Worlds is an exploration of the limits of the "frame." What began as an experimental approach to building a composition with poured paint, quickly blossomed into a full series. Each piece features one of my signature landscapes inspired by stories told in movies and games. My art is an escape from the day-to-day grind in order to explore new and unique worlds. It is my hope that these fantastical environments will allow anyone to find their own escape. Never forget to take a step back, enjoy the simple beauty in the world, and go off on an adventure of your own.
Solid artist statement! I don't know your work so I can't truly say if it's effective, but I like it. I would remove the last sentence, as it sounds like the ending of a letter rather than an artist statement.
Hi Stephanie! I always enjoy your content. I was born and raised in Maple Valley. Blessings from The Dalles, Oregon.
Thank you so much for listening ✨ Let me know if there are any topics you want to hear about in the future 😁
5 hours late with a coffee 😆
I won't say that the artist's intention doesn't matter, but there's little an artist can do to control the art consumer's interpretation of the artwork, other than what's in the art itself and how it is presented.
That's true!
i once reported a video on Instagram 3 months ago because it was just a woman showing here pussy nothing educational just thirst trap and she is still on Instagram with no repercussions
Only just found your channel, You make a lot of sense in what you’re saying…my biggest problem is I’m my own worst critique and having spent all my working life in a job that required perfection at all times, Makes it even harder
Thanks for watching, hope you can let the perfectionist take a back seat!
I’m deffinatley working on it
Interesting interview, Jennifer seemed very comfortable in the interview, hopefully that type of vibe will come accross in her TikTok videos. But did she inspire Stevie to want to paint a mural?
😁 I would be delighted to paint a mural! Thanks for watching!

Hi, the invitation to the discord seems to be broken... getting "unable to accept invite" error.
Oh no, I'll double check that right away! Thanks for letting me know.
Ok try it now!
I’m getting the same notice!
discord.gg/8UQGWP53DK Try this!
Couple more ideas: go to target or an art store and get a kids art kit that looks fun. It inspires your artist, but also your inner child. I did one that was fake stained glass of unicorns and seashells. That you bake in your oven. Kind of similar to some of the ones you did but , go to an art house theater or international film theater, and watch a movie that you wouldn’t usually pick. Same thing with your class idea pick a kind of art that you’ve never tried or never thought you would be interested in if you’re a painter try photography if you’re in a pottery try dancing. I also think learning a language has melted. A lot of my brain together that were not previously. 😅 and it’s useful
A couple of times, I took some of my shame pile to Goodwill. Unsigned.
Omg ahahhahahahha
Damn genius, tysm!
Enjoy!
Girl thank you. As an introvert, I am relieved to hear you speak about these topics. Thank you for validating me!! I’m gonna binge listen to you when I make art❤❤ Subscribed and followed you on ig❤
aaaa tysm!
Solid advice. Thank you! The negative talk about my work is definitely something I have struggled with. Gonna work on that!
Very practical and helpful. I'm a comedian and this still generally applies. Thanks for sharing ❤
Oh that makes me happy! Glad it helped :D
It took me a long time to not describe my art as "I made it because I thought it looked cool." People want story and substance. Something relatable to latch onto. If it's another artist you can talk materials and the elements/principles of design. Other than that...I've found it's about finding a way to bridge the gaps of interest. Much of my work is movie/game related so I can literally nerd out with fans who see in my work what I'm inspired by.
Such a great tactic, finding the sentimentality is so important for connecting with people.
You are what you say you are. Your art is what you say it is. The words we say have so much power over what we believe about ourselves, and can change or reinforce our self perception. You have some great tips here, thanks!
Thank you for listening 🧡🧡🧡🧡
"Art jail" , the only kind of jail you would ever want to go to. 😄
Very cool!!
Thank you! Hope you a re having a great day~
loving this so far, a new add to my podcast collection
Hi Stephanie. Your video and audio aren’t synched up. It makes it hard to watch.
Oh no, thanks for letting me know
There is a "random picker wheel" online, free to use. Of course, can't post links in comments, so you'll have to google that.
Loved your walk through of your learning process, and how you looked for positive in each experience.
Thank you for the nice words ✨I should do an update soon!
Thank you ❤️✨
My grandpa used to say, "Everything you learn costs you money." Boy, was he right. I lost £100 on a commission this past week😭
😅 lessons are expensive
I’m a new subscriber, and I love this post and can’t wait to make my lists! Thanks!
Thank you for watching! Hope the lists work for you :)
I sell mostly my digital work, but the photography portion got me thinking of how I can incorporate my traditional work as well. My partner has been considering buying a new camera, so I might have some additional asks for that!
Having a nice camera makes such a huge difference. Being able to share it with someone else is even better. Thanks for watching!
So fun!!! ❤ I'd just made myself three lists a few days ago with the same idea, but mine was more to use up my vast array of supplies and to as prompts (I am more of an upcycler!) My lists are printed, cut into strips and put into 3 baskets. Colours, items and tools. I've done a fourth list called concept too, but narrowing down with 4 categories is a bit toooo specific 😂 So so much fun...and like you said, no blocks, just creativity!!!
Ps. New subscriber here! Thanks for your fun and super informative videos!!
That's a fun idea, makes it very randomized. Thanks so much for subscribing Harmony!
My pricing exists somewhere between the gut reaction and the material based pricing. When I first started selling in college it was all gut reaction. Over the past 10 years I've slowly bumped those prices up to include time spent, materials, size, and complexity of the design. Every couple of years I bought my prices up 25 or $50 to adjust for both inflation and my better skill level
So glad you've got a system that works for you :) Thanks for watching!
Wow! What a great video to bring back the confidence in times when you feel blocked. Excellent video, very educational filled with lots of inspiration. I just found your channel and I’m a new subscriber! This is very helpful since I recently purchased new mediums and materials. I usually paint with oils but the list is definitely a great tool. I wish you all the best and more! Blessings and take care, be safe. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much for the nice comment!
Hello😊
Hi!
Thank you very much, needed this!
Thanks so much for watching!
I wish printful allowed a digital signature to added to artwork.
Honestly, same! Maybe I'll reach out to them an suggest it.
Hi Stephanie 👋 I've literally just discovered your channel through this video, and I've gotta say I really like your energy! This was fun to watch 😁 and thanks for the advice!
:D Thank you so much!
Stephanie, I love your enthusiasm and you’re a genius! And what a great idea this is! I could be your grandpa who shares the same love for art making! I have been in the art making business for over 30 yrs. And I’m always seeking for new ideas to keep my mind fresh, free and the enthusiasm alive! I’m subscribing to your channel because it’s good for an old guy like me to see happy and youthful spirit!…never stop smiling at Life!
Oh wow thanks for such a nice comment! I'm glad the exercise is helpful. :D Hope you have a wonderful day~
Sheer brilliance! Thank you 😎👍🏻
:D So happy it's working for you!
Such an obvious approach, but hidden in plain sight! That’s brilliant 🔥 I love it because I tend to get bored when I need to work in one medium only, I need to switch it up every once in a while. But such a list gives some structure, which I also need. It’s a perfect balance for me ❤
Thank you! Hope it brings out a lot of creativity~
Just found your channel! Great advice and concept. I’ll definitely try the Art Improvement list. Enjoyed how upbeat you are! Thanks for a great video.
Thinking about art makes me so happy, i'm glad it's infectious. Thanks for watching!
