I didn't understand where did you put the cables in the thermostat mate...
It comes with a wiring diagram, in my case it was a matter of identifying the 3 cables and matching them to wiring diagram.
Cheers nice one mate that's all my questions answered going to get one & fit it this weekend 👏👏👍
You should use lubricant when doing this - WD-40 minimum but there are proper cutting greases too. Makes for easier and cleaner result.
@@bucklbr4 yeah it definitely helps 👍
Very helpful review, I'm deciding between the 8ft and 6ft versions. By the way, I really like your steel shed, who supplied it?
Is there a diagnostic tool you would recommend for soneone who is not in the trade and only uses infrequently to read and clear faults and enavle to change rear pads etc... thanks
@@philo3391 that handheld unit has since stopped working for me! I would recommend VCDS.
@@kildareeman thank you
1 year on and you have saved me going to the main stealers 50notes for the part and 10mins to install. Longest part is getting the plastics back on. Thanks again for the video.
I got went by the fender and belt the plastic on place and with a flat head I inserted it by the spring and moved the internal black plastic piece and then it opened. I’m going to try to fix this with a parking brake connector which should work. If you don’t hear back it worked. Saved $500 dealer price tag. Also I didn’t want to do that since their part isn’t good to begin with and the cable itself is fine.

How do you get the bonnet op. In the first place if the lever is broken.. great vid thanks
Video is about gas door that won't open. Starts video with gas door open.
My tiguan does not have the screw.... It sucks to remove. These small problems do not happen on Japanese cars.
2015 is mk6 not mk7
Nope it’s MK7
Great! Just what I needed, Thanks!
Exactly what i need to do to my super beetle.👍🏿👍🏿
Informative video thanks, the metal clips tend to pull out of the plastic trim rather than metal receiving brackets. However metal clips can be removed with pliers and reinserted into plastic trim for replacement.
Except the fact, that I can’t even open it to replace it…
Just get studs
I’ve somehow got a 4 pin connector but I can’t find any information about it and even searched the part number itself but still I can only find the 2 pin connector. You got any info about this?
What model and year is your car?
Golf 7 GTE 2015
You can actually just remove the plastic cap by pulling it to the right when it is still closed. Now you can pry it open from underneath with a screwdriver, which will break the motor, but that doesn't matter since it is already broken. Your fuel door will remain intact, that is more important.
Don't force it off! Knock on the lid and unlock and lock the doors. With a bit of luck it will then pop open.
I tried but had no joy! Was almost hammer time 😂
Good lad Thank you
This videos gonna age like a VERY fine Wine! Just saying! Thanks for all the work! Really instructive video! 👍
You do need a trailer licence to use this trailer. Only a trailer with a laden weight of 750kg or less can be used with a standard full B driving licence. If you don't have the BE trailer licence, then you are driving illegally with this trailer and also not insured regardless of what vehicle you are pulling it with
If the trailer's DGVW (Design Gross Vehicle Weight) is more than 750kg but the DGVW of the vehicle + the DGVW of the trailer does not exceed 3,500kg.
Source: www.rsa.ie/road-safety/road-users/professional-drivers/vehicle-safety-legislation/light-trailers/towing-and-vehicle-towing-capacity
Your link refers to the capacity of trailers and the towing capacity of the vehicle, which is all irrelevant to my point. My point is to do with having the correct driving licence firstly, and then the correct towing rated vehicle and trailer. A full B driving licence only allows you to tow 750kg max end of story, that's regardless of what the vehicles towing capacity is or what the trailer capacity is that you are using. If you are pulling a trailer rated over 750kg, then you need a full BE driving licence and the appropriate towing vehicle. The max that a BE licence covers is 3500kg trailer, and the vehicle is also maxed at 3500kg. That's a total of 7000kg max For anyone reading this, be warned if you are thinking about towing this or bigger trailers on a B licence. If you only have a full B licence, then you can not pull this 1400kg trailer regardless of what the capacity is of the towing vehicle. If you are on a Learning B driving licence, then you can't tow any trailer at all
@@MIB-iy6qq “You may tow a trailer with a maximum mass (as specified by the manufacturer) not greater than 750kg, or where the maximum mass is more than 750kg, the combined maximum mass of the towing vehicle and the trailer is not greater than 3,500kg” source - www.roadsmart.ie/Drivers/Trailer-Towing
You obviously don't have a BE licence because if you had, you would know the law after doing the BE test. Your interpretation of them links is corrupted to suit your needs only, and is regardless of the law and other road users' safety. B licence is required to tow any trailer over 750kg. B licence only covers a vehicle up to 3500kg without a trailer attached. The average Toyota etc 4x4 is around 2500kg unladen, allowing the difference up to the 3500 for passengers diesel, cargo etc. Your 1400kg trailer can not be included within the B licence range of 3500kg for the towing vehicle. Any trailer over 750kg must be braked and requires a BE licence, towing insurance, towing vehicle rated to pull required weight
what an unbelievable collection of waffling, thanks for try (i guess)

Mine makes a click but wont open the gas door even rear left door sonetines wont open by the remote
Hi guys who are doing this fix yourself. I just tried it and it’s actually possible to accomplish by removing just the fuel door housing. But it requires a lot of blind touching and feeling where the socket is. Long and thin fingers do help a lot. My fingers are thin but not exactly long. Watching this video to find out the position of the socket does help a lot! Quite easy to remove the switch just by blind touching, tough part is putting it back blind because of angle issues and having to aim the socket blind. Definitely gonna take very long and many tries, but it’s not as tiring to remove the inner panels. And putting inner panels back has its own troubles when the clips will not be in place altogether when u smack them in, and once u miss any of them and it bends (especially the inner ones), it gets extremely troublesome and tiring to reinstall the panels. Good luck with anyone trying!! I got bored and replaced it although I dint really have to (it spoilt while it’s on ‘open’ mode so it can still open and close normally, just unable to lock), and eventually realised its not worth the effort at all 😂 but 1 more diy completed!
Thanks. Very nice video. NICE work with the camera too. Very good information for us with a VW 😊
Good, but then it’s rather abruptly!
Thank you
Hi, its shows the same thing with my octavia vRS TDI 2L. How to know the exact part to buy though, seems lot of O2 sensor in amazon and ebay. It's the first time happen, says O2 sensor bank1. Keeps popping up my reader.
This was actually a VRS too, there was less than 80k miles on clock when it went. I gave the registration number of the car to my local Skoda dealer and they then supplied me with the correct part. Personally I would only buy off the main dealer to ensure you get an OEM replacement part with a warranty 👍
I actually found the invoice for this part which I purchased 6 years ago. Part number for my car was 03L906262Q. It cost €150 back then.
@@kildareeman Thankyou mate, such a helpful one.
I just changed mine and it's way easier if you reach with your fingers through the round hole in the body and the boot light after taking off the clip-on trim that holds it in place. A 5 minute job without prying open all that trim.
I think its also worth mentioning not to use any electric tools such as aku drills to unscrew the screws to avoid sparks near the reservoir, specially if its a gasoline car.
Yeah that’s very true, gasoline(or Petrol) is extremely flammable! Always take care folks 👍
dont you need a thread inserts to make it strong ? like a spring coil which will go inside the hole and you can put bolts on top of it ..
Hepa Filter is under the silver metal part with samsung logo . Not inside the canister .
Thanks. I enjoyed watching carefully. It looks like it's possible for newbie.
Will the m14 fit and Audi a4 b8 2014 registration
Yes that's the right size.
my god all that
Thanks for the great video, how would you recommend getting the bolt out in the 1st place?
Very Helpful video! My actuator is off. One question: Instead of open the panel inside the car and unplug it, can i cut the old cables and put it togheder with the new ones from the outside, could it work?
Glad you think so 👍 Nope as you have to disconnect the electrical plug, you cannot do that from the outside (you would only damage something). Best of luck 👍
Do you have any part number for this? I've managed so far by filing down and lubing the guiders. Also rapidly unlocking the car and pushing on the lid has helped. But this seems inevitable. Good video!
I give the part number in the video 👍
