I love Lion King since a kid Lions are my favorite animals

The movie was AMAZING!!! I LOVE IT AND IT MADE SO MUCH SENSE TO ME

Mufasa was a different bloodline heading to pride rock with just his mom and dad when a flood took mufasa away from his family and then he ended up astray, scar found mufasa... Meanwhile scar was from a royal bloodline in which he was supposed to be the next king, mufasa wasn't fully accepting by scar father because he was an outsider in their bloodline/ pride and he was a male too so mufasa was forced to always stay with the lioness and go hunting with them....that was where scar mother taught mufasa how to hunt and he became stronger unlike scar whom his father pampered and never wanted him close to mufasa...scar became lazy and wasn't strong, literally couldn't do anything. When they grew older, another pride of lions came and ended scar bloodline...before they were ended scar was sent far away with mufasa as his protector, so scar could continue the cycle of the royal bloodline... But on the journey they met sarabi(mufasa wife, Simba mom) who was also a stray lion because she lost her bloodline to the same lions that killed scar bloodline.... (Sarabi was also from another royal bloodline) maybe she was meant for scar in the future but there was twist of fate. Mufasa was strong and scar was lazy, so they all relied on mufasa, they also met rafiki on their journey to pride rock. (Nobody believes pride rock existed ...they thought it was a myth) (Rafiki was banished from his baboon covens) While they were on the journey, they were also being chased by the lions that killed scar bloodline... Scar loved sarabi and he believed she was meant for him cos she was also a royal bloodline but sarabi loved mufasa. Scar became jealous and betrayed mufasa by joining the same lions that killed his bloodline and led them to pride rock to kill mufasa.. Meanwhile mufasa mom was already in pride rock waiting for her son to come home. Mufasa got to pride rock with scar,sarabi, rafiki and zazu but the lions that killed scar bloodline also got there with the help of scar and wanted war with mufasa...mufasa asked the other lioness and animals in pride rock for help and he defeated the lions that killed scar bloodline. So they chose him to be king and the protector of pride rock. Scar also helped mufasa in the war, that's where he got his scar....mufasa might have been dead if scar didn't intervene. POV: why scar was king Because his royal bloodline was already dead. POV: why mufasa became king Because he protected pride rock and fought till the end so they chose him to be king of pride rock... Pride rock isn't scar territory, so scar has to right there to claim king. If scar goes out of pride rock and get a royal bloodline wife then he would be king of his own territory but not in pride rock. Thank you for reading till the end.

Actually, it’s a great movie!

Just watched this movie, and the story made perfect sense, and it was really good. Actually it makes the story in the lion king movie make more sense. Plus its weird to say you dont like a story from a trailer that really isnt portraying the story as it is.

why the only ones in the movie that talks with "african" accent are the monkeys?? every animal in the movie is in Africa but only the baboons talk like africans... Really great inclusivity by disney and the yanks also, who think they are the prime of the world.. well you are not..at all...

I watched this movie today, and it was amazing. I always wanted to see a movie about Mufasa and Scar and their story. Taka was always Scar's original name (many have already said so in the comments). Before you react to a movie and its story, maybe you should do a little more research on what it is about. There have been books about The Lion King since the 90s; one of them is The Tale of Two Brothers (already mentioned in the comments), so nothing was invented just like that, but some things were changed. In general, the film is excellent and very emotional, you can learn a lot from it. I am personally delighted and finally know how Mufasa and Scar became what they are. I also adore Sarabi's character. She has always been one of my favorites, and I am glad that in this film, we also see her story and not just appearances here and there. Let's not forget Eshe and Afia, amazing moms. ❤

If she just tapered off the drug she wouldn't have gone through so much withdrawal in the beginning. She dumped alot of that drug down the well, she had plenty to taper from 😂 . Also , it is CONFIRMED, that eric ,the one who reads the book is being manipulated by the forces of the book, so its not totally his fault

The musical notes in this film was awful nothing that is memorable. Disney dropped the ball on this. It shouldve been Liong King 2: Simbas Pride

I watch it today, it really makes since once you watched it. It’s was so good. One of those movie where u can call out the moment but it still hits you just in the right place, so much better then the first real movie.

"All about the money" indeed. Im so done with disney. They ruined 101 dalmations, Alladin, lion king, starwars, Marvel, Snow White, Alice in wonderland, peter pan, willow, the little mermaid, etc. All for a quick buck and trying to rely upon modern dei crap and nostalgia bait. The only reason these cgi films gross any kind of profit is because the newer generations have no idea what the originals are like or what made them so great. So them this is the original. Then they get taught to accept anything that is popularized. They have no respect for the 2d hand drawn animations of the past. They have no ability to think critically so it doesn't click to think that this undermines the whole scar being a villain taking over the pride. Remember the same generation that will say they enjoyed this film enjoyed skibidi toilet and the whuak tuah girl while growing up with baby shark and their faces stuck in tablets. Ive seen plenty of other shows or films that utilize iconic disney characters like snow white or alice in wonderland. They do not need to rewrite the entire character or story. They take little elements like the name or parts of their story or their iconic look and use them without ruining the original source material.

Thry retcon stuff all the time idc im excited for it as someone that watched the original one and watched all the Disney shows about lion king.

Yeah scars name has always been Taka, it changed when he got his scar over his eye. Mufasa became lost as a cub and his family is somewhere up river. They can be seen at 2:31. Each pride in different territories have a male lion who runs things. Mufasa was destined to become the king over all lions around the pride lands.

Yea na this was a big miss from yall. Clearly you went into this wanting to hate it so you just eye rolled and questioned anything in the trailer. I'm all for this because it's actually an original story tied to a classic story rather than just another live action remake with the exact same story as the animated version. You shouldn't have even bothered reacting to this let alone post this when it's clear you didn't want to. Thanks for wasting your and our time.

As silly as it may sound, I kinda think the 2019 re-make wasn’t so much “look, another re-make” but more of them saying “we’re gonna make this a franchise bigger than it already is. 2019 re-make is just a starting point” but it also allowed them to make alterations. Something basic like different accents between Mufasa and Scar May have been nothing special in the OG version but to again make one “British” and the other “American” for me is them saying the two aren’t related. They had the chance to give them both the same accent but decided not too and there’s gotta be a bigger reason why……well, now we know why.

Tee & Tash, you need to watch 'Don't Be A Menace To Society While Drinking Your Juice In The 'Hood' guaranteed to rinse away the bad taste of stereotypical "Black'/'Gangsta' cinema. Plus it covers all the films Tasha never got to see. Relax, it is a comedy by the Wayans'. And funny as hell.....Message! (You'll get that after you see the film) Oh crap, well Tee will laugh because I suspect he has seen a majority of the tropes, so he may need to explain a joke or two...dozen. LOL I don't mean watch for a reaction episode necessarily, but more a cuddle up with each other, have an adult beverage or roll a fattie (if that is your relaxation [No, judgement, man made liquor, God made weed]) and enjoy a first rate spoof. Like I said, Tee should have a lot of fun picking up all the nods to the 90's dearth of Black teen gangster/disillusionment films. Also, Larenz Tate's brother Lahmard is in it, so..... You can also try 'Fear of a Black Hat' a spoofing of the Hip-Hop scene. Not a box office darling for sure, but it has a cult following. Another film, yes, I am promoting the comedic films of my Brothers and Sisters, is 'Pootie Tang' it also didn't do well in theaters but has an underground following. Sa da tay!

This is one of the few horror remakes that is respected, and the gold standard of remakes in general in my opinion.

Being a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since I was a kid back in the 90's, I have watched this movie (and it's two sequels) god knows how many time's & I'll still watch them.

Im happy its different. Read the books or watch the animated movie or watch Lion Guard if you want the same old same. Im excited I can't wait.
