      Did you mean better than Christians or better Christians? Because I’m a bit confused, and genuinely don’t understand. Are you saying they are better Christians than most self confessing Christians? If so, Satan whole thing is that he is absolutely opposed to Christ and being a Christian is all about following Christ so therefore it is impossible for a Satanist to be a better follower of Christ than a Christian since they are opposed to Christianity fundamentally. I hope that wasn’t confusing, and I probably could have worded it better 😅 Hope that helps clarify, God bless my friend! 😁

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! When it comes to the validity of the Bible, there are several reasons why Christians like us believe in its authenticity. For instance, many events and locations mentioned in the Bible have been confirmed by archaeological discoveries. Additionally, the Bible has an impressive amount of manuscript evidence. There are thousands of ancient copies, some very close in time to the original writings, which helps ensure that what we read today is accurate. Another point is the consistency of the Bible. It was written over 1,500 years by more than 40 different authors from various backgrounds, yet it maintains a consistent message throughout. This is quite remarkable and is often seen as a sign of its divine inspiration. Furthermore, numerous prophecies in the Old Testament are believed to be fulfilled in the New Testament, particularly those concerning the life and death of Jesus Christ. Regarding LGBTQ+ individuals, Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). This means showing kindness, compassion, and love for everyone, including those LGBTQ community. (Hate the sin love the sinner). I appreciate your perspective and the opportunity to share mine. God bless!

    How should we reconcile or how does reconciliation happen?

    • @holyrebel
      @holyrebel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your question, that’s a fantastic question! Reconciliation among Christians whether Protestant, Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, etc. starts with focusing on what unites us rather than what divides us. Here are a few thoughts on how this can happen: 1. We should emphasize the fundamental beliefs we all share, such as the divinity of Jesus, His resurrection, and the core teachings of the Gospel. These are the foundations of our faith and provide a solid ground for unity. 2. It's important to approach discussions with respect and a willingness to understand different perspectives. We might not agree on every point, but respecting each other's beliefs and traditions helps build bridges. 3. Jesus’ command to love one another (John 13:34-35) should guide our interactions. This means showing kindness, patience, and forgiveness, and prioritizing relationships over disagreements. 4. Working together on fighting and answering social issues and questions that are opposed to our faith that are especially relevant in modern society. In times of challenge, like now, it's crucial for us to come together and support each other. By focusing on our shared beliefs and showing love and respect, we can reconcile and present a united front, reflecting the unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17:21. Thanks again for your question, so many wonder what they and the church as a whole can do to bring unity. It's an important conversation and I'm so glad we're having it. Thanks, God bless!

    For context, I am a gay woman that grew up in the Catholic Church and still attends mass almost every Sunday. The problem that a lot of people are having with the speech is that some women don’t want to have kids and that’s OK. Some women will not be happiest “serving a man,” and that’s OK! For the part about pride, I understand the Christian perspective of pride being a terrible sin, but pride when it comes to LGBTQ people is more about being proud to be yourself rather than the sort of pride that is a sin. Plenty of people that celebrate LGBTQ pride are incredibly selfless, they’re just proud to be part of a community just as Christian people are.

      I’d like to add also that not everyone who goes to Catholic school for college is Catholic. Sometimes people might get a really good scholarship and go to that school or they have a program that they’re really interested in. You don’t have to be Catholic to go to a Catholic college.

      Thank you for sharing your perspective. Harrison Butker's speech reflected his own beliefs, as well as Catholic teaching since it was at a catholic college and most of those graduating were Catholics. If you are at a Catholic college you are going to hear basic catholic teaching on marriage and sexuality. It's natural for different parts to resonate differently with people. Christian doctrine holds specific views on marriage and sexuality, which differ from those of the LGBTQ community. However, Christians are called to love all individuals, “hate the sin love the sinner.” Your insights add valuable depth to this conversation, and we appreciate your engagement and openness.

This command is given to the first humans, Adam and Eve, after their creation. This is one of the first and primary commandments God gives humanity. @@holyrebel seems like there's a lot of interpretive work going on in that position. I believe it's all down to interpretation, I just questioned the agenda behind any given understanding of religious text. what might be the motivation?

    • @holyrebel
      @holyrebel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your response and for raising an important point about interpretation and motivation! It's true that interpreting religious texts involves understanding the historical, cultural, and theological context in which they were written. Different interpretations can arise from varying perspectives and experiences. In Christianity, we strive to interpret the Bible in a way that is faithful to its teachings and reflective of God's love and truth. The command to "be fruitful and multiply" in Genesis 1:28 is interpreted as an affirmation of the value of family and the importance of procreation. This perspective underscores the significance of motherhood and fatherhood, which are seen as vital roles within Christian teaching. Esteemed theologians such as St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, and contemporary scholars like N.T. Wright have emphasized the importance of this passage in understanding God's design for human relationships and society. These men have spent their entire lives studying the scriptures and the languages they are written in to faithfully interpret these passages. The motivation behind emphasizing traditional family values in Christianity is rooted in the fundamental Christian teaching that these values reflect God's design for human relationships and society. Promoting the importance of motherhood and fatherhood aims to uphold the family as a foundational unit of society, providing stability, love, and support. St. Augustine, one of the early Church Fathers, wrote extensively on the nature of marriage and family in his works such as "The Good of Marriage." St. Thomas Aquinas, a key figure in medieval Christian thought, also explored these themes in his seminal work "Summa Theologica." Their interpretations carry significant weight in Christian theology and underscore the continuity of life and the nurturing environment that families provide. However, it’s also important to recognize that Christians are called to love all individuals, regardless of their life choices or circumstances. The core of Christianity is to follow Jesus' teachings of love, compassion, and humility. As stated in John 13:34-35, Jesus commands, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." While interpretations may vary, the guiding principle for Christians should always be love for others and love for God. Engaging in discussions about faith with understanding and empathy helps build bridges and love others. Thank you for your engagement and thoughtful questions. It is through respectful dialogue that we can better understand each other's perspectives and motivations.

      @@holyrebel That is exactly what Butker was implicating. His words and statements implicated a wish to return to traditional Christianity, where the wife must obey (like a dog) her husband. He mighnt noted have said those exact words, but his comments and statements implied that is where he was going. That is why everyone (not just "eivil feminists") were upset. As for teen pregnancy, NOBODY wants that, but traditional Christians like yourself and Butker want to remove birth control, leading to consequences to situations where teens that do happen to engage in sex get pregnant. People make the claim that they do not want teen pregnancy, but ignore the consequences of their other wishes. Have a wonderful Sunday!

    • @holyrebel
      @holyrebel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for replying! From a Christian perspective, it's important to clarify a few points regarding Harrison Butker's speech and Christian values. First, the concept of a wife "obeying" her husband in traditional Christianity is often misunderstood. The Bible calls for mutual love and respect within marriage. Ephesians 5:25-28 states, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her... In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies." This is a call to selfless, sacrificial love, not domination or control. The idea is about partnership and mutual support, not subjugation. Second, regarding birth control and teen pregnancy, conservative Christians often promote abstinence and responsible choices based on their belief in the sanctity of sex within marriage. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 emphasizes the importance of honoring God with one's body, which includes sexual purity. The intention is not to ignore consequences but to encourage a lifestyle that aligns with these values. This does not mean a lack of compassion or support for those who find themselves in difficult situations. Galatians 6:2 encourages us to "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." Finally, while Christian views may differ from contemporary perspectives, the core of Christianity is love for all individuals, as stated in John 13:34, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." It's crucial to engage in these discussions with understanding and empathy. Thank you for your comment and for contributing to this important conversation. Have a blessed Sunday!

    • @technicschic
      @technicschic 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@holyrebel I'm somewhat laughing to myself because you reference Ephesians, but leave out "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Saviour. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything." I am not even a Christian, and I know that one. You also speak about the core of Christianity, but as you can see from your earlier reply and my response contradicting yours, it is, just like with every religion and every Holy Book, about interpretation. Some quote Leviticus to spew homophobia, but leave out Leviticus quotes about not mixing fabric and not eating shellfish. The issue is Butker's interpretation, and how it indicates derision of women, more towards the "submit to your husbands" interpretation than what you quoted above; that is why PEOPLE (not just "evil feminists" are upset with what he said). They also don't want him fired, and don't want him fired because of his faith.. It is sad that you use clickbait titles to try and spread your faith. Your quotes above do not comport with Butker's interpretation, yet you claim to support him. One last thing about interpretation - I believe Gandhi said something similar to “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Essentially saying that some Christians' interpretations might run contrary to the actual spirit of Christ's teachings (which they do). Regarding teen pregnancy, I understand what you are trying to say, but at the same time, it has been shown that abstinence ALONE does not work. When you couple abstinence ALONE policies with forcibly banning birth control, you have issues. Sure, provide support for abstinence, but also allow for teaching of safe sex at an appropriate age, and the provision of birth control. This is not being done by Christians, or at least politicians who claim to be Christians.

    • @holyrebel
      @holyrebel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your thoughtful response! First, you’re correct that Ephesians 5:22-24 states, "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything." However, this passage should be understood in the context of mutual love and respect. Ephesians 5:25 immediately follows with, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." The relationship is intended to reflect sacrificial love and mutual respect, not a hierarchy of worth or dignity. If what Harrison Butker stated aligns with Christian teaching, as outlined in the Bible, then calls to fire him for his comments essentially amount to calls to fire him for expressing his Christian faith. This raises important questions about religious freedom and the acceptance of diverse beliefs in a pluralistic society. Regarding interpretation, it’s true that different people may understand scripture differently. As Christians, we strive to interpret the Bible faithfully and consistently. Jesus’ teachings emphasize love, compassion, and humility. In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus states, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” These principles guide us in our interactions and interpretations. Concerning LGBTQ issues, the Bible does have specific teachings on sexual morality, but it also calls us to love every individual. Romans 13:10 reminds us, “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” We can disagree with certain behaviors while still showing Christ-like love to every person. Regarding teen pregnancy and birth control, while some Christians advocate for abstinence as the ideal based on biblical teachings (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), it’s also important to approach these issues with compassion and practical support. Promoting responsible choices and providing education about consequences can coexist with our values. The goal is to uphold biblical principles while also addressing real-world challenges in a loving and constructive manner. Thank you for engaging in this discussion. It’s through respectful dialogue that we can better understand each other’s perspectives. Have a blessed day.

    What does "soul ties" mean? Is that in the Bible?

    • @holyrebel
      @holyrebel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your question! “Soul ties” refer to the emotional and spiritual bonds that can form through sexual relationships. While the term itself may not be directly mentioned in the Bible, the concept of the deep connection that occurs during intimacy is addressed. For example, in 1 Corinthians 6:16, it speaks about the profound union that takes place in sexual relations. The idea is that these connections can have lasting effects on our emotional and spiritual well-being. So, while not explicitly labeled as 'soul ties,' the concept of the impact of sexual intimacy on our souls is indeed a relevant aspect of biblical teaching. I hope this helps!

    This movie was a lot of fun! The beginning was kind of clunky with the dialogue but by the middle the drama of the characters was just as interesting as the songs!

    It's funny that you seemed surprised at a Bible based musical, when Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Techincolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Prince of Egypt are some of the best known musicals of all time.

    • @holyrebel
      @holyrebel 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @oklaclarinet We were specifically talking about live action Christian musicals. We both absolutely loved Prince of Egypt. Even more specifically we were talking about recent musicals and Jesus Christ Superstar was before either of us were born but I totally understand what your saying 😂

      @oklaclarinet 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@holyrebel If Jesus Christ Superstar was before your time, Godspell and Joseph would be as well. (They were also a decade before I was born.) However, that trio is live-action, first as a stage show and then as a movie (or two). As someone who absolutely loves Joseph and has a soft spot for Godspell from being in a production back in March, I would say Journey to Bethlehem is tonally very similar to those two shows..

    The movie is not biblically accurate but it tried its best to be. They have taken ALOT of creative liberties. But then again even the story in the Bible had its own deviations with time. And oh my God, I love the songs! The nativity song, with all its ethereal beauty, had me in tears. I can't stop listening to the soundtrack. Everything about the songs (except for that goofy song sung by the three wise men) was brilliant! I personally love song "Ultimate deception" which depicts Josephs doubt and mental agony really well. I also like how Joseph is young and in love with Mary. Everyones complaining how he was a big flirt at first but I like to think it was because he was immediately drawn to Mary. I mean Mary and Joseph are quite literally a match made in heaven. Most catholics believe Joseph was way older than Mary and was more of a guardian and protector than her husband. This belief was originated to explain how Mother Mary was a virgin all her life as she was not romantically involved with Joseph. I personally find it disturbing that a full grown adult man marrying a teenage girl was more acceptable than a married woman losing her virginity to an age appropriate husband she loves. So yes I enjoyed Josephs and Mary's dynamic in the film. It's a bit awkward at the begining but it progresses well towards the end. Overall, the movie was decent. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either; it's somewhere in the middle. However the movie concluded on a very joyful and hopeful note, capturing the bright hope inherent in the story of Jesus Christ's birth. Also get this; This movie is a love story. Love story between a man and a woman, people and God, mother and child, a king and his crown. It's a family movie at its core. If you want a very light hearted rendition of the nativity, then watch this.

    Hi, Luke! Hiya, Faith! My name is Victoria and I absolutely loved this review! I saw the movie two times and cried! Not once did I doze off in the theater. I was awake and drank in every moment. I would definitely recommend The Star, another AFFIRM Films movie, as well as Heaven Is For Real and Miracles From Heaven, as well as the upcoming 2024 movie, Unsung Hero.

    Ok so when I saw the trailer to this movie I thought it looked like major cheese whiz and was opposed to seeing it but I like to support Christian movies so I decided to try to see it with an open mind. I actually really loved it. The music and acting was fantastic. I love Antonio Banderes. There were quite a few clever and funny lines. The trailer seriously did not do the movie justice. We immediately went home and downloaded the soundtrack. The casting was great and so were the sets.

    I LOVED THIS MOVIE! And...I did NOT sleep through half of the movie. I dozed off once or twice for a few minutes. The music was great! I agree that Herod's song was really catchy and fun to sing and listen to. The GREAT reversal was at the end when Herod's song was taken back and glory given to the newborn King. Great Job Holy Rebels! I LOVED watching your video too.

    Love this movie. Love these two Holy Rebels (2 of my favorite Hudnalls). My favorite songs to sing: Can We Make This Work, Mother to a Savior and King, and The Ultimate Deception. Second tier favorite songs: We Become We, Good to Be King, In My Blood… buuuut like you said…. They’re all actually good. 🙌🏼🎶

      No, Jesus is not that. This was basically what we discussed in the video. This verse is stating that rebellion against God is as the sin of witchcraft. Rebellion against Satan is, of course, not a sin. It is instead the entire message of the Bible to rebel against Satan.
