I have one in 300wsm. Its a fntastic rifle. 6.5lbs. Norma ammo first shots were around .5 moa 5 shot groupings.

I bought one last week in 243 and had to send it back the next day after only 6 shots as the fluted bolt was not smooth and almost jammed and juddered when loading and it was damaging the action anyone had this problem? Just waited 2 months for it to arrive and had it for one day absolutely gutted but i had to refuse the rifle as it was damaging itself

Got mine 6 months ago! Outstanding accuracy for the money… my setup loves Eley Team, as well as Lapua Center x and Norma Match… can’t be happier. Upgraded to a titanium firing pin, vertical grip, soft grip stock, rubber extended butt stock, and trigger spring(pull weight down to .8 lbs.) Bushnell 6-24x50 MaxPro scope, and Magpul Bipod. Also replaced the plastic barrel thread guard, and plastic trigger guard! Shoots .3 inch groups or less consistently! Make sure not to dry fire as it causes a burr on the chamber face, which will cause feeding issues(aka rim fire nightmare and frustration. Get plastic snap caps for dry fire, and a swage tool if you find you are having feeding issues. My rookie mistakes are good to learn from. Happy plinking!

About 2/3 of our guys in hunting club are using Tikkas as their primary guns. Overall, all guys are very happy with those. I'm also selling all my guns and replace those with Tikka 308 and Silver Pigeon 1. Maybe I'll add Tikka 223 later on.

I agree with all the statements as I have shot out two .223 Rem. T3 Varmints........anybody know of a source for replacement factory barrels ?

If this is so, how come my 2x Tikka T3x Super Varmint T3x Cerakote is binding on the bolt due to it is fluted? Smooth operation is a far reach, and every fast movement makes the bolt lock itself, so you have to release the pressure to make it move again. Kind of problematic in a hunting scenario. It is the worst bolt action I have ever experienced, and I am so disappointed with Tikka on this. I have a 10 year old Tikka T3, and the bolt is 100%. That is why I now bought 2 new rifles, but the trust backfired. Was told by the seller and the supplier that there is nothing to do with the problem..

The fact it can’t stay on the gun and have the legs fold forward is a big let down for your average hunter. Having to take it on and off as need and pack it elsewhere is a pain.

Nice to see you guys have upgraded a few items that are imperative to a rifles accuracy/precision over time. One of those being a better recoil lug, made of steel and not aluminum. The aluminum lug of the T3 version was a complete failure, on anything that recoiled harder than a .223 Remington. Also, since a Tikka is mass produced, you don't skim bed the receivers, or glass bed the recoil lug in, the way it should be, to ensure that accuracy/precision over the life of the rifle. One major flaw you have, is the recoil lug mortise in the stock, is cut a deeper depth, than it should be, and over time, that recoil lug will drop further into the stock, affecting the seating of the lug into the slot cut in the bottom of the receiver. This is a design flaw, but the reason you do this, is so you have a small amount of flexibility between different receivers and stocks. This can all be, and is corrected, when a person properly glass beds their Tikka rifle. That is the only way you get, "a solid foundation", which ensures the utmost "repeatable" accuracy/precision over the lifetime of the rifle. Are they perfect from the factory? No!!
