I love your fragrant phalaenopsis too. I grow native Japanese orchids here in Japan. This year I'm trying Cypripedium japonicum.

In your cool growing tent where you keep your Masdevallias.. i was just wondering what your temp range and humidity range is. Especially at this time of year. And also wondering if you normally keep water for them to sit in in the second pot masking the actual pot. Like do you keep it in water all the time? Im having trouble with my Masdevallia lucheana and i keep it in a terracotta pot with moss inside but i feel like im always too early or too late to watering it and wondering if this is a possibility for me. To keep it cool as well because i have hot summers approaching in hune qnd pretty warm by march or sooner in VA

Oh, congratulation on the P. mariae! It’s just amazing species and when it matures, the blooming is just spectacular. Just keep it on top shelf, as it has tendency blooming facing down. I have primary cross with tetraspis C1 and mine has taken after the mariae quite clearly.

I have a small imperial vanilla. I have read that it is very difficult for them to bloom at home, but it is still beautiful and I hope it grows like a vine.

It was great hanging out with you. This show is always epic. I was laughing when you said you would be showing every single booth. There were over 90 booths. That’s a huge undertaking. I think I only covered like 20. The next big one is the Rare Plant Festival. I believe it will be in the same space.

I have the Amazing Thailand that I got last year, but it grows much slower than my other large cattleyas. 48:39 Den. sucaule - Is this the rainbow color flower one that you missed out on? I did a search and couldnt find it online. Since alot are newly discovered, how would you go about caring for them? 59:32 I'd try one like this since they're not that expensive. 1:08:15 The flowers remind me of mounted gastrochilus. It bloomed for fhe first time in August. 1:13:09 The flared cattleyas are back! 😄
