I used to watch the ATSF 1480 Class Atlantic's moving 40 ft Ice Perishable cars to and from Packing Sheds on their right of way in Fullerton, Corona, Riverside and San Bernardino. They were a surprise when I saw them start 40 car empties without wheel slip.

Glad seeing a dash 8 still strutting it's stuff on the high iron.

To avoid a lot of this, what I did was when Kadee first came out with the 118 shelf coupler it was built on the kadee 5 shank so I had a bunch of them and just swapped the couplers the original 118 couplers fit perfectly. no need to trim anything 🙂

I was in Colfax wating for big boy to stop by shamed he was delayed he was supposed to stop for 15 mins there was a lot of pepole and by the time he got there lots of pepole left but there was still a good amount and he rushed down Colfax loud and proud a true sight and we saw that same westbound freight train earlier in Colfax around 10:46 lots of pepole used it as reference for long shots before big boy came buy still a fun day
