He made the right decision. If he is not excited by it, he shouldn't do it. Applies for every profession. I still practice surgery because I wake up everyday and I love operating and making that difference. It excites me a lot. I thrive off it. But if it doesn't excite you, this aint worth it

I left AIIMS Delhi I always wanted to become a doctor and I couldn’t join prior due to few issues. I completed engineering in IT and gave NEET again. I scored 716 and the whole preparation process changed my whole perspective about life in general. So now towards a new beginning in IT

I taught 'Business Presentations' to Mtech students at IIIT and I remember noticing that a lot of the kids were there, since that's what society expects of them and not due to any special calling! So hats off to this gentleman for knowing his mind, there's too much of the "follow the herd" mentality in the world!

I am a final yr mbbs student. The energy u r talking about was never inside me during this 4 yr journey, I still can't figure it out, why???? Clearly I am not made for it... But I don't know how to get out of it either.. So it's just going on.

Taking a break after completing mbbs degree is not same as leaving or dropping out of medicine bcos at the end of the day if ur alternative career options don’t work u can always come back as a doctor bcos u have the degree . So kindly stop using titles like this for click bait . It sends a wrong msg to young generation tht they can drop out before getting an mbbs degree bcos other ppl have done it , but one thing they forget is other ppl have done it after completion of the course not before it and they do have mbbs degree has back up option in life

If anyone want to go to research field after mbbbs what will be the path for them (like actuallly finding medicine/vaccines for different diseases )

if people have to quit later in medicine then why are u guys wasting seats, like literally I am seeing many medicos quitting. It's a wastage of seats. Somebody else who has been happier to be a doctor would be in your place, serving the people.

Even though I failed to get a govt MBBS seat despite scoring 640 this year, my heart aches more right now watching this. How prejudiced , pseudo- intelligent and judgemental has our society become.. or has it always been this way?

It's not a war between if the medical profession is good or bad. People joining this career need to ask the question to themselves... Why they want to b a doctor. If your answer is... Because you would love to b a doctor & want to heal patients... Then you should become a doctor ! If your answer is money, peer pressure, family pressure, looks cool, prestige, respect, because ur smart & can crack neet.... Then you will spend all your life struggling in this profession. And it's nothing wrong if u don't hv right reasons to pursue medicine... But you might not enjoy it... So for them I really hope if they can, should switch or try to incorporate fun hobbies & side hustles in their life & try to hv work life balance... That should keep u sane. And trust me there r only 10-15% docs only who really wanted to become docs & treat patients, rest docs were just smart enough to crack neet but dumb enough to get trapped.

It's like I'm listening to my own voice in my head ... medical field doesn't give that adrenaline that I'm supposed to get I guess that's why i too don't have any thrill of doing it And also i too DONT know what i want But the years are passing and parents are getting old so they're relying on me to do something good to have financial stability At the end it all comes down to what i want and what an individual should do to sustain a good living standard.. 😢

I completed my 12th with PCMB in 2019. But I wanted to become a doctor. Because of family pressure and all.. I didn't took any drop for NEET & did engineering.. graduated last year & honestly, I hate it. I'm 24yrs old now & I know what I really want to be.. prepraing for NEET again... :)

Year 2013, i was a 9th grade student studying in the morning and selling veggies in the evening for a seth,, to support my family,,my mother and Father was labourers,,i was not good at studies but my dream job was to become a muneem for that Seth so i started showing interest in math and start sitting near the batch topper (which later became my very good friend). I started doing homework solving prashnawali's daily. Days passed 10th result came i got 87.67 percent that day and 100/100 in math(i was 1st person of my village who achieve this)1st time i saw proud and happiness in my father's eyes (he was not able to go to school in his days but understood importance of studying) I become restless after 10th exams. Days become boring, sports are not allowed to play , so once a escape now become passion I started solving 11th class math book and solve almost 7-8 chapters even before result came I wanted to study math not knowing any future scope or anything just wanted to solve those complex looking formulas I was sponsored to coachings by some kind people's of village and told to pursue biology by my mathematics gurudev by saying math have only one chance to clear IIT while neet have more And Here I'm not knowing what iit and neet at that moment... cut to short...later my passion become physics (43/45 in neet 2017 ) 99/100 in boards...got Gmc in my state rajasthan...then comes torture..... 1st year half year goes in ragging, other half goes in hindi medium to english medium transition..just passing with bare minimum marks..missing math and physics very bad...in second year pharma and Fmt become friends for survival....in third year ophthalmology ...in final year surgery...in intern studying for pg seat like everyone else...... By looking at my background i feel extremely lucky to studying after 10th .. studying for neet ug.... studying mbbs.... studying for neet pg... And while typing this ... knowing I'm getting every branch which is there in seat matrix..i will going to choose MD radiology at the age of 26 and pursue my other interest of this short mortal life after securing future of my family.

Hats off to all who didn’t choose this MBBS. 👏🏻👏🏻u guys saved ur lives yourselves. U are the real life savers. 🤞🏻
