I love the robot holder, I would get the cube just for that. Feels like a missed opportunity to make the robot a puzzle you have to solve to get the 3x3 out. I did get intuitive f2l on 3x3, so I’ve been hitting 2x2 hard. It feels like I will be able to grow from 2x2 when I get back to 3x3

I still haven't fully gotten down nerves in competition yet, but I can share about the times I have done well. Just having a friend to talk with in the waiting area and just feel more relaxed around has helped take my mind off of the pressure of the solves, and it's how I got my 12.80 PR OH ao5. Another thing that helps me is listening to some music before the solve while calming myself down, any music works as long as you feel like it improves your solves, whether it's more calming music or music to hype you up, this got me my 9.25 PR 3x3 ao5. The final thing that helped was focusing on a different event, in my case I was practicing OH and mainly going for a good average, so when I did a 3x3 round just before I did OH I was able to get a pretty nice PR, so having another event to take your mind off of another can help. Though it can be difficult depending on how much you care about the event, since I was pretty much laser focused on OH for that comp, so 3x3 was just another event and not anything special. So far with the 20 competitions I have been to these have been the most impactful things that helped calm my nerves, and I was similar to you as well. My first competition I did well and had no nerves, but every competition after has given me more nerves. As well as the added pressure that a potential podium or win adds to it, it really makes it difficult to do well even trying all kinds of techniques. I hope my perspective helps and you can get better official results that match what you get at home!

I think the better you get, the better you expect to do in comp, the more nervous you get. I experience this the first round of a comp last week where I got a 14 3 by 3 average when I average 11 at home. Luckily I did better in the second round
