I found this publication by chance today. I owned this record myself. An old memory is awakened. I'm from Hückelhoven, Hartlepool's twin town, and at the time I was a musician in a brass band in Hückelhoven. In 1978 I visited Hartlepool. It remains a lasting memory to this day. I still remember the English Martyrs School band and the Owton Manor School band well. Are there any members of this band who also have memories of this time?

I brought this when I was 17 and I would listen to it every night was my favourite album for years and still is. Oh and I still have it but not been able to listen to it as no record player it made me cry being able to hear this again for first time in years thank you so much 😢❤

This evokes so many rekindled childhood memories. Dad would play this every Christmas . I remember it well growing up as a 70’s child . I wasn’t sure I could listen to it , as I am now older , I am struggling at this time of year . I just feel I can’t do Christmas anymore . Lost my father 13 years ago before Christmas 2010 . Mum in 2021 and my eldest brother at the end of May this year .

This is our family christmas record now being played for the 37th year whilst putting up tree. Our daughter plays this same record whilst putting up the tree with her kids. All takes place with a glass of sherry. Family christmas encapsulated in one scene,love it.

The most precious Christmas album ever for me. It literally signifies my childhood Christmases. For the longest time it was the only Christmas album/music we had in the house aside from the radio. Now, at the grand age of 58 it brings back so many wonderful memories, and I'm so happy I've been able to find it here. Thank you so much for uploading it! we still have our copy of the actual record album that I purchased as a young adult because it meant so much to me, and a record player, but these days I have no idea how to set it up, lol!

Thanks for posting! I bought this way back in the day, probably not too long after it was first released. Still have it, in fact. Don't really listen to vinyl (or even cd's tbh) these days, so it was nice to find this here where i can easily listen again after many years. I reckon that this was where my love of John Williams' amazing work began. A true legend! I was 12 or 13 years old when i bought this, and i have to say that im enjoying listening to it even more now than i did then, which is saying something! Thanks again 🤟🏻😎

POB 734 is awesome (22.32). For years I thought this was the Los Alamos PO box number. It isn't, but this piece of music always invoked the Trinity test for me and 'I am become Death... ' Incredible stuff.

My friend! I’ve been trying to build my 80’s record collection for the last 25 years since a bad break up where I lost all my vinyl. I think this is the only song/remix I’ve never been able to replace. All the streaming services ignore it! Thanks so much for uploading

My mum used to play this album a lot when I was a small child back in the 1970s, until she loaned it to someone and unfortunately never got it back. Her favourite song on it was “Once Upon A Time”. At the time, I never knew who the singer was but I could vividly remember her picture on the album sleeve. When I spotted this by chance in a charity shop last year I just had to buy it, and it brought back so many happy memories upon hearing it again after over 40 years! I just wish my mum was still around to listen with me. I hope Diane’s music gets re-released on CD someday.

Diane Solomon had her own music show on BBC 2 and I saw her in concert twice in late 1970’s at Croydon’s Fairfield Halls. Her singing voice was amazing. !!!!!

I still have this album, who would think it was almost 50 years old? Happy memories of being a kid in the 70's.

My Dad got this in Woolies some time in the mid 70s. It used to skip during Little Donkey. We'd all sit there staring at the record player knowing it was going to happen..

This was our Christmas music my parents played every Christmas! First on LP then what we taped on the cassette. I've been trying to find it, thank you.
