I am a completely self taught DIY home mechanic, some may say with little bit of OCD, but, I prefer to describe myself as a guy who just takes a lot pride in his work and likes things to be done in a very particular way. I have a real eye for detail and I like things to be done right or not at all.
This channel isn’t about making money, attention grabbing or any of that nonsense. I started making TH-cam videos as a way of letting out my enthusiasm for all things automotive. Cars are my life, my passion and my obsession. I am a down to earth self confessed car geek!

Good to see if handles steel too, so kunifer should be no problem. Cheers Rick, my cheapo Clarke tool will only be used for the low pressure 5/16" fuel line flare then will be scrapped :)
How do you know if you need a single or a double??

hello, i've followed the restoration on your GTV V6, I cannot see in your video where is located the dehumidifying bottle for air-conditioning. care to tell me where it is ? thank you
Nice bike. Great condition.
PTFE. PLASTIC TAPE FOR ENGINEERS
So you insert the metal tube going against the teflon tape direction (the end you finished on goes into the poly housing first)?
very nice job,well done,
I will order this. I have some polybushes on the way. Have to explain to the mechanic what to do. Now I have to learn the French translation of these parts. By the way, you look just like The Muslim Cowboy. Thanks for the information.
All right mate. Had thus saved for a while, and this winter is ehrn its happening. Great vid/step by step. I wanted to ask....as I'll be doing everything myself with regards to painting and cleaning. What do you think of putting all the parts that are removed, through the dishwaher a couple of times !?
questo non e un cambio gtv
I’ve had a time getting my brake lines flared. I was about to give up due to the cheap harbor frieght flare kit I was using. I ordered the titan tool and hopefully it makes my flares not leak anymore.
Hi, how’s the product doing after a few years? Thanks Ian
Would adding friction paste in place of the grease actually create a more durable long term setup? Lessened potential for bushing spin
How has it performed in preventing corrosion on the underbody?
good job thank you!
I put my money on that little hand held tool any day. The other one is crap and requires too much
When assembling, why not assemble hot and cold parts? :-)TSC
I've used Bilt Hamber products for over a decade & you can see why they win awards constantly.
brilliant!
I have Nolathane Poly bushes that I installed into the lower control arms of my Land Rover LR3. I wrapped the steel core with teflon tape and greased them before install. It's been 3 years of daily driving and so far no squeaks. I did not grease the polyurethane bushings like seen in this video as the manufacturer states that the polyurethane is meant to be fixed and only the steel core is supposed to rotate.
Hi. Sorry for question. Is ti absolutely necessary put the jack under the engine? I can see that the stabiliser mount do not support the engine weight. Thank you
I can't believe how compact light it feels am going after 2005 model I been riding my st 1100 so sitting on vtr felt so diffrent
What an amazing sound❤❤.....i would be driving all day 😂😂
I can't find one of those tools for a length of 8mm pipe anywhere 🤔
Nice video you saved my time and money thanks
I love the stif ride but im over those squeeky poly bushings. That sound is embarrassing when driving in my Condo building.
Bought an 02 in 2004 from Bill Heads Preston, still have the bike, pure magic!
Thanks for that Rick. I took my sill covers off, thats a bit of a pane. I don't know if you did a video of that? My sills had a lot of rust and needed a lot of welding. Thats all been done but I've lost the holes on the underneath, so the welding guy said use SS self tappers and washers. The sills are going to paint sprayers soon, but I have to do a couple of little repairs first to a couple of minor cracks, so this video is just what I needed as I was dreading it, but now I've seen the video, I'm more confident in putting them back on. So thanks very much.Your car is a gorgeous 😍 and is a tribute to you for the work you've done.
Hello Rick. Nice video. Just a question: Why didn't you use the same injection rail polishing method to polish the intake ducts? Thanks
whats the music thats playing
This is the most awesome looking Engine and u brought it back to showroomshine. Well done , u can be real proud. Greetings from Germany. It looks like Art
This was a great video, went out and bought one - it didn’t seal at the main bottle cap - called manufacturer who said they were aware of bad batches and they would send one - long story short I never got the replacement, I bought a second kit and it was obviously from the same batch - the makers didn’t take any details about where I bought it so they’re not recallling these - I would advise using the StreetWize kits which look almost identical but worked for me 1st time unlike this Gunson kit.
Just noticed your red floor mats that look pretty close to the original carpet. Mind sharing where you got those? I had some custom made, but the colour is way off and they look terrible. Yours seem to be quite close to the red on the carpet.
Nice nice bike bro....
Yeah, I had a master mechanic that tried to take me for a ride. Tried to tell me that it was a $1500 fix when it was only grease needing to be added to a bushing.
Used ptfe on my mini and 100 miles in squeaking like hell
Wouldn't bother with the tape.....just roughen up the surface with scotchbrite.....
Interesting. I'll have to give this a try. I have better luck unrolling the Teflon tape the other way. Easier for me to keep tension.
So glad I watch this before opening the plastic packaging of the “bad” flare tool I bought.
Rick we’re are you ?
The best looking car ever.stood in time like a champ and keep destroying all the ugly without characters modern cars
Brilliant video, clearly explained, thank you
Really good video thanks Very helpful and well made
Just bought my 2nd tin of s50 it's perfect for inner box sections and door seams.
Fantastic, congratulations!
Amazing detail. Thanks very much for a very, very well made video. Appreciate your time and effort.
Thanks, cleared up a brain fog for me.
I am glad you added the grade 8 bolt information as some kits do not include them. Plus, good grease info. I see were folks are complaining of a squeak noise frequently! A good PTFE silicone grease is supplied and recommended but other brands work well. Yes, this means you must read the instructions, warnings (Do not eat or squirt in eye balls) but, hey, someone this minute is buying a gallon of milk that expires tomorrow! Yum on my cereal, with a splash in my coffee. Dag Nabbit, just at the store and forgot the TP!
Hi, thanks for your incredible videos! Can you write down the part code of the part you replaced. I have the 12v engine. Some of the links are not valid. Thanks again for the job you made.
