I have the second blow torch but its crap if you want to melt 20g of copper it takes almost the hole botle to get it melted so every time i melt 20gram its 25 to 30 bucks for a new bottle its not worth it
Hello. Do you always use delft clay? Or do you use silicone too?
Hi, I have only used the clay at this stage. Thanks
this tutorial was amazing, thank you so much <3
Thankyou!
Where can you get the metal casting mold?
Depending on where you are, but best to just order online. Amazon has them.
Hi guys. I want to start my adventure with jewelery making, and to be more specyfic silver and gold casting The problem is, that due to my country policies I legally can not use big gas tanks nor oxygen, only thing I can use are those handheld torches with propane or butane in them (I don't know about MAPP gas but internet says it needs oxygen so guess its out of question as well). Is it possible to sand cast silver using those one of those 2 gases as a fuel? I want to cast very small things such as neclace pendants, earrings ect 1 at a time, that will weigh about 5-10 grams (0,18-0.35Oz) tops
This is literally exactly the kinda video I needed. I had been tryna wrap my head around making my own chain links or carabiners. I was on the right path but this vid def helps🙏🏽🙏🏽
Bro can i melt silver with LPG gas
Wow this was so cool! I started watching your jewelry making videos and found my way here afterwards. Thank you for being so informative and absolutely creative. You got a new subscriber 🤗
Awesome! Thank you!
Hi! just asking, because I just bought the same mini lathe, as yours! what did you put on the metal cutting tool from the white bottle? because I solely only got into this, to make Armatures for stop motion. I really would love your feed back! 👍👍
Nice work.
Very inspiring and educational. Thanks!
Thank you 😊
Bro i need a cheap metal with shining like silver what can use in my ring business. Silver gold cant afford i am starting only pls help brother❤️
Look up alloys online a that look like these metals. A mixture of the right cheap metals might look similar. Thanks
Rai thank you so much man! Keep up the GREAT WORK!
Thanks !
I have a question, if the we're gonnu be using wax would we be able to leave it in there as we pour since it'll melt anyway ?
Thats also my doubt😅
Thank you very much 🤍
You’re welcome 😊
Great video! How many times can you use the wood frame before the hole is burnt too big?
Thanks you get alot of use out of it
I admire your passion, maybe I'll get to following these steps soon, rock on
🖐🏻 Thank for the info, what’s de white powder ?⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
I believe he said baby powder.
Flower
Is there any way to make a more permanent custom mold? :)
Great tutorial brother 👌🏼 do u work with all the metals? Do u take custom requests?
Great video. The Dremel bit that your using. Can you tell us the "part" number or specifically which drill bit it is? I just started pouring and could use one of those! Thank you.
What is the metal ?
Silver
VERY nice!
I just started pouring. I was always told the breather holes have to go from the object all the way to the sides of the mold. I noticed you punched holes in actual cast. Can you tell me why you did that and if that'll work for most sand castings? Thank you!
Can you re-use the sand after casting?
Yes most of it
❤
Thanks for the videos, just going to try melting some old jewellery and your videos are inspiring. I love those shell pieces you’ve made, they’re gorgeous.
Thanks very much! Hope it turns out well :)
I really like the shell that you used in the video. The finished piece is very nice. I do some casting and I'll get into it more as time allows.
I'm new to sandcasting. Every time I fill the mold with the delft clay and pound it down, the clay will "split" open on the mold. Usually it splits in a different part of the mold, that I'm pounding. I hammering the clay in fairly hard. Is it possible I'm doing it too hard? I just can't understand what's causing this. When I turn the mold over, the bottom of the mold is nice and smooth. Can you please tell me what could be wrong? Thank you in advance.
Hi yes could be over hammering it, is it a home made mold or bought one? Could be the strength of the the mold or how it's fixed together.
@@Raicullimore Thanks. It's one of those round metal cylinder molds.
Does a brandnew 150/e comes with blades and drill chuck
Was quite some tome ago I bought it now, so can't remember correctly but I think it came with the chuck possibly some blades or they could have been extra add ons. Thanks
Could i make double sided 18karat gold token coins using this process?
Yes you could make somewhat basic double sided coins
Great video, but I'm confused. Every other video I've seen, people put the vent holes on the "outside" of the piece being cast. You poked holes in the actual casting piece. Can you explain the difference please? Thank you!
Really good content!
Thanks very much!
So u used sand or?
Created what? you don't show the result, this sucks
great video do you have one where you make a groove for stone inlay
Thank you! No I don't have a video of that sorry
Sera que da pra fazer um grillz desse jeito??
Can you make silver or gold mold with oven bake clay Crafters closet or is there anything else besides delft clay set I may have laying around the house that I can use to make molds for pouring silver or gold?
Yeah could make a mold out of alot of thing if the object you want is quiet basic. Was going to make a whole series about. Examples like cut up fruits or vegetables, wood. As long as it has breather holes it will work to some extent.
Can u fo gold like this
Oh u good xan u show big pics make and were u buy the stuff u using
ARE YOU OKAY !
Hey! Im about to start sand casting and was wondering where to but good brass to use?
You can source online if you can't find locally
In uk mapp gas is minimum £15 now
The quality of the casting turned out great wow
So if I were trying to make rings and stuff like that I should just invest in a decent induction furnace?
Yes or its for me at least around 25 to 30 euros for the gas en oxygen botle to fully melt 20 grams of copper
Cast some brass knuckles
Thank you for video, can I Use this way to cast ring with pronge?
Which powder you use
Delft clay for packing and cornstarch to prevent sticking
Love the videos bro! I'm super keen to get in to this myself and your channel has so far been the most helpful for beginners! Do you ever do much work with gold? I'm fortunate enough to have found quite a lot over the years whilst metal detecting beaches so I'm aiming to take advantage of that and learn how to do repairs and remakes
