Community Launch Webinar: Contradictions In Care Report
We hosted a webinar to launch our new report to be released on December 11th: Contradictions in care - Labour conditions, conflicting values, and crisis in child protection social work in Nova Scotia, co-authored by Drs Catherine Bryan, Brooke Richardson, Nancy Ross and Rajean Willis.
Grounded in data collected from interviews with social workers, this report describes the challenges they face within the Department of Community Services. Join us to hear from the report co-authors as they discuss the intense challenges that social workers face and the short- and long-term policy recommendations that would improve the Nova Scotia child welfare system so it better supports children and families.
