I highly recommend to invest in a spin on coolant filter Kit; with zinc plug, I used many brands, basic and with the zinc is highly recommended...... if you missed out why, saves cast iron. In my early years, I did a lot of remanufacturing of Cat and other lines. I seen a lot of water pumps after coolers / heads / blocks. more over, you can buy the filter already super charged with antifreeze in it, which will drop the water down to something below freezing. it's the zinc I'm pushing here, with in the filter. I should had said something long ago, but hadn't, didn't want to ruffle anyone, but after seeing so many rads and heads & blocks water pumps / rust / rot, I can't under stand why I haven't seen anyone investing in such a easy preventive means, way in protecting these small engine system. 70 year old plus parts are not easy to come by, more over, it will go away at some point.

Did not see a seal between the outer bearing and the castle nut. Maybe it was there, and I could not see it.

I am repairing a mag for another guy...."B" I took of the lower cap......do I need to time it( the rotor) to the gear on the Mag.........?? Clayton

Those whizzers were well built. similar to my modern motorized bike build but so much nostalgia with these old school builds especially how you raised it from the dead. Nice work. I always make music for my videos but starting to think I don't need it after watching this. Wish the whizzer kit came back into production

1st thing I always do is use liquid wrench or some other brand of penetration oil on all fasteners, it makes such a difference.

Hello I have a broken one. Do you think I could pay you to repair it ?

Compliments on the production quality. Great lighting and focus. I inherited a1948 Allis Chalmers C that had been 'converted' to a coil ignition by modifying the mag. Difficult to start, kicked back hand cranking. Put a quality rebuilt Fairbanks Morse mag on it and discovered I cannot tilt the mag over far enough to time it properly. The conclusion can only be the mag drive gear teeth are not aligned properly on the machined marks under the front engine cover! I better not find paperwork from the engine rebuilder. Your video clinches it. It is not possible to mount the flywheel incorrectly to change the location of the timing marks, Allis Chalmers made sure of that.

Lifters and push rods are cool- They will be amazing to watch exposed

Do you have the bearing numbers for the 4 final drive bearings and also the seal number for the differential/transmission where the axle shaft goes into the differential? Great video!

Do you have a video of fixing your continuity issue between your slip, ring and whinings

I bought some brake pedals and I see it would be pretty easy to make them work looking at what you have. Looks nice. I have a few attachments and would like to loose the saw, its like a 48" blade, let me know if your interested, have some others but only maybe on those.

My 38 sounds better no miss in mine, all hand crank and there is a trick to that.

Really appreciate you taking the time to document your work and upload to TH-cam. Don't have a lot of experience navigating the insides of an engine, so this really helps. Have no intentions of getting into it as deeply as you have, but will be able to do a few simple repairs with confidence.

Like the restoration. What size tires did you go with on the back? Are they on 8" rims?
