I'm black and I think this channel name is so damn racist, they want respect but don't respect the other races, that's the reason I'm not subscribed to this channel
I live in wenatchee
Switzerland
🙌🏾 a site to see. Very majestic
I lived in Vancouver, WA, I didn't feel comfortable once I left the downtown area.
Hahaha. I love your comedy. Nice hiking!
YOU VISIT YAKIMA, AND MENTION NOTHING OF THE YAKAMA PEOPLE, NOR THE HISTORY, BUT VISIT THE MOST COLONIZED AREAS POSSIBLE BRUH.
Terri Gentry is an icon in the Denver area. Her family has deep roots. You did good by contacting her!
Yosemite. I'd recognize those cliffs anywhere.
Glad you enjoyed our island. I’m the violinist in your video.
Great video! We are from Montana and we, too, score more on our drive to Billings than Billings itself haha😂! You shared a lot of history that we haven’t been exposed to before! Thank you!!! Hopefully you give Montana (and Billings) another shot! This state is so amazing and covers so many different experiences depending on location and those that you meet on the way! Great content!

WOW damn and they call us animals! How about 100% the opposite. Just nasty people...
Arozona
I was born and raised in Billings and have spent the majority of my life here. And frankly, 99% of Billings residents don't know any of the Black history in our community. We could definitely improve. Thank you for visiting. And yes, we have far too many casinos.
I would guess somewhere in Oregon
Have you guys did a review on Coupeville, Washington?

Great content !
I grew up genX in Montana, a town of 5000ish. Four schools of elementary school. Two junior high schools, one private. Two high schools, one private. Two black children throughout my 12 years of school. They were adopted, so they were also the only blacks that lived in town. I don’t remember any incidents involving the boys, they were just another pair of kids in the neighbourhood that rode around with a group of friends. Billings used to do better, before racism was used as a political platform.😢
It’s high on my bucket list
You would love it!!
Hahahahaha this was ridiculous to watch. First of all, and most importantly, why the hell choose Billings of all the places in Montana!?!? Secondly, the city is so spread out over many miles, why would you stick to only downtown? There is so much more to do on the west end of town, not to mention a ton of restaurants. It is clear that you did not tour the city. Third of all. Take those stupid cowboy hats off. How many cowboys did you actually see while "touring" Billings? Oh, well. At least it was good for a laugh!
Spent 1 birthday at Sequoia National Park they have a hotel. It was heaven. Enjoy!
It was so peaceful and beautiful!
Well I hope you come back again. You missed many things here. I really enjoyed hearing about the history. There are many things to see in some surrounding areas too...come to RedLodge for the 4th of July Rodeo!
You should go to Lewis & Clark Caverns and Livingston…it’s such a small town. My grandparents lived there and it’s a blip on the map for railroad

Walla walla is a sundown town
As a Billings local I apologize that you didn't feel comfortable. I never knew about the black history here. That was wonderful to learn! :) This might sound weird but part of people's weirdness might have been the hats. Depending on how often you wore them around...I know that sounds crazy! For some reason around here people can fully tell if you work on a farm or ranch or if you're just wearing the hat for fun. The attitude here is more of a "can't wear it if you haven't earned it" thing. Like I've never lived on a ranch but I've helped branding cattle and stuff. I would never wear a hat even to a branding! Local or not, helping or not, I haven't earned the hat. The hat thing hard to explain and has nothing to do with race. Not saying you won't find racist people here just that the hat is a way bigger deal... At least that's what I've observed. I hope you try Bosman some time that is a great little town and they have hot springs! Oh and the Yellowstone drive seems like nothing to us because to get anywhere in Montana takes at least 2 hours and that's if your lucky! From here to Bosman is 4 hours but I love going there when I get the chance! All of Montana is a road trip lol. I do wish we had more to do around here though! Sorry for the long comment!
I talked to my best friend who was married to a rancher and lived on a ranch. She is from Alaska but she didn't grow up ranching. she still wouldn't wear the hat even while they were married :( people here are so weird about cowboy hats it's crazy!
As an Irish Jew I can assure you I don't get it. What difference does it make? May I? You are both Black....The first people on the planet were Black....The original Adam and Eve, yep....Black. Everything we all have we inherited from you.......But do you two act accordingly? No. Making sure Seabrook racially qualifies? Of course it does, its 2024. Are your trapped in a time machine then? Why perpetuate? Do better for us all.
I’m from here, thank you for choosing Billings! I’m glad you had decent time, but I am truly sorry you did not feel more comfortable and welcome. I totally agree that Billings is not a great tourist spot or too young-adult friendly. It’s more seen as a place to raise a family or grow old in. And if you aren’t big into nature and the outdoors that also limits your enjoyment. If you ever come back to MT, stop in our college towns Bozeman and Missoula (they are much more expensive), the cities of Butte and Helena (capital) for their rich history, and all the fun spots in-between. Also, if you ever do want to go Yellowstone, go to a sweet little town Red Lodge and drive up the mountain through Beartooth Pass. Take that road all the way to Cooke City where there is another park entrance. It is quite a drive but it has been called one of the states most scenic drives and I can’t recommend it enough. Just know it is only open for half the year because of all the snow. And also definitely check out Glacier National State Park in the NW part of the state. It’s breathtaking but due to climate change, its iconic glaciers and landscape are changing so see it sooner than later. Montanans tend to be a little closed off because we care for and love our home but we also take pride and want you to enjoy it as we do.❤❤
Being from Lovelland Colorado fifty miles south of Cheyenne, there are two main reasons to go to Cheyenne and face the wind, 1. Wyoming liquor stores are open on Sunday, and fireworks are legal to buy. Also the snow doesn't melt in Wyoming, it wears out.
Can you list the restaurants you guys ate at? My hubby and I are foodies and plan on visiting the PNW more often. We went to Whidbey island, more specifically Langley and Coupeville and had a great time. We also visited Bellevue and loved that area. We visited Anacortes as well. MT Vernon too
I don't know how I haven't seen this channel before. Thank you.
Subscribed. Nice video!
Just to give you more insight on the cryptic "Don't encourage people to move here" comment that you got, the negative aspect of that was likely not toward you. Over the last decade, Montana has been seeing a heavy influx of people who have liquidated overpriced California properties and used the cash to buy up real estate in Montana. It has been causing some issues. You might have seen decals on cars that express this animosity that say "Montana is full, I hear North Dakota is nice." I would encourage you to make another effort to see Yellowstone, it is mind-bogglingly beautiful.
Franklin I falls is a lovely short hike good for all ages
Lived in Montana entire life graduated from high school in Billings in 1983 at which time my prom king Was black and our queen was his girlfriend who was one of the most beautiful blondes in the school. Interestingly, he ended up going to prison and she ended up moving down to Arizona and marrying a Mexican guy, that’s a cop. Seriously ,you put on cowboy hat’s and then run around looking for black victim hood, which may or may not have existed in Billings, but it certainly doesn’t now. As far as the native American population, the crow Indian reservation has good and bad people just like everywhere else. I’ve personally crossed the reservation at three to 4 o’clock in the morning to go hunting and have been forced off the road by drunk Indians attempting to drive me into oncoming semis, you see I’m coming from a place of deep experience as I cover Montana and Northern Wyoming as an orthopedic rep and distributor. I’m sorry you didn’t have a better experience but you were looking for what you got. Maybe explore the West End of Billings, the Heights, Red Lodge and the Cook city Pass. I also lived in Seattle from 89 to 91 as a licensed athletic trainer in Ballard and working with the Seattle Mariners three years is all I lasted there until I came home in 92 to start a sports medicine program at the hospital. I can assure you any discomfort you felt being black was internalized because no one else was thinking about it. We all wear jackets at least four months of the year as it gets pretty cold, people here judge you on color just like they judge you on the jacket that you take on and off, it’s a wrapper, we all bleed red. I was baptized on Bainbridge Island in an all black Baptist Church. I was the only white guy in the entire church. Why? My girlfriend and roommate was a gorgeous black lady from Scottsdale that took me and during the sermon, I had the most incredible experience and was baptized! Life is about experiences, but we can definitely put on a pair of glasses that will only allow us to see what we were trying to see. I understand the title and that you’re trying to give from a black perspective, try to take off the glasses every now and again. I think you’ll enjoy it more. God bless.
Great job really good
I grew up in Park hill, born and raised, I loved that you are adding Colorado to your adventure, so glad that you are representing the five points, very important park of our history, and the red lining the black folks had to experience, and how it has been gentrificated all through the neighborhoods.
Great video! I live in Edmonds and you are pretty spot on about it. The nickname is Deadmonds because of all the old people and old money. I like the quiet nature of Edmonds compared to the others near by.
Billings sucks.
Keep a look out for BIGFOOT and jackalopes love this area 🏆🇺🇸
I am a Washington State resident and went on boat tours and this is exactly how you are going to have to observe the Killer Whales with binoculars because boats have to stay like 1000 yards away starting Jan 2025.
Phuket?
Nope not Thailand. Good guess though!
