I would check you local Facebook market place depending on where you live. They range from $4k to $7k still. I love my tourer model but the Interstate model would be what I would be looking for now if I were to buy another.
People won't think it's a nerds bike once you swap a 50cc scooters engine with a honda elite 250 engine
Blue and Silver Interstate, 96k, woundn't trade it for anything. Did a Iron Butt qualifier on it, 1007 miles in 15 hrs ten minutes, used a LOT ofgas though LOL.

There’s only 3 things I’ve ever purchased new. My Ski equipment. Honda Valkyrie and now Gen3 KlR. Still have Snow ski but haven’t been on slops in yrs, the Valkyrie and KLR still get ridden often.

You should go back to that old lady and buy her some nice roses, bottle of wine and thank you card - for such a nice gift 😜. $1,600 for a Valkyrie is a border line theft 😆. Enjoy your ride brother ! Mine is 97, black with all around chrome . Not my idea. The original owner swapped whatever he could with chrome. Looks very classy. He sold the bike with all the original parts in the box to his neighbor, and that’s how I got it. With 2 boxes full of original parts, owner’s manual, additional documents, and printed Valkyrie bible. For $4,600 😉 I’m loving it !!! Enjoy yours !!!

When you got it, did you service the belts? I just picked up my 97 and it only has 10k miles on it. Forum advice is back and forth. It’s literally steel mesh and housed in a sealed compartment. Just wonder if you changed yours.
Good question. I checked the belts but looked like it was replaced by the previous owner so I left it alone.

I also own a big bike and a Honda Elite 250. I LOVE my scooter so much and I use it for around town. It's funny how half the Harley guys never wave because I'm on a scooter. We are on two wheels. I love your Valkyrie.
I agree! I wave to everyone! 2 wheels and motor. Those are my kind of people. I should be finishing up the Elite 250 by the end of the year. I want to test the limits and do a long distance ride on it when it is done.

There seems to be a hard bias on the valkyrie engine.....although the same displacement and flat 6 lay-out it has almost zero similarities with the goldwing ... engine base and mounts are different for a start, then pistons, rings, camshafts, rockers, valve adjustment, carbs, gearbox, frame all is different. Thats why its such a great bike
Agreed! I have ridden a a Goldwing and much prefer the Valkyrie. The smoothness is the same, but the power from the Valkyrie is so much more. A great US made Honda!

In the US it is call the Ibex 800T. Other countries it is the 800MT.

They have said it is coming, but was a year ago I think. I already have a quadlock wireless charger so I'll just use the usb cable xD
Yeah, Peak design doesn't change you phone with this mount but my favorite part is how sleek the case is. Not as bulky as the Quadlock.
After riding Harleys for 50 years , I bought a 97 Valkyrie, just because I always wanted to try one. I'll always be a Harley fan , but the Valkyrie is one awesome machine. I'll never sell it.
That's great to hear! Can't beat how smooth it is. I love Harleys as well but this feel like a different beast!

hello. great sounding bike. I need some advice. I just got a 23 speed twin and want to make it stronger/faster. I downloaded the tuneECU app. Only mod I've done is removing the slip on as I like the "drag pipe" look. any recommendations on which reprogram to use or download? thanks.

Good question! I did remove the snorkel and replaced the intake filter when I added the exhaust. Then started the bike when did not rev. Let it run until the fan came on and felt like it reset it self. I did feel a different from there. I can power wheelie pretty easily at this point.
Pro tip:wipe your fingerprints off the exhaust after install. You won't have any odd color spots on the headers.
Great tip! I took the bike in to have a shop install the X pipe. They didn't clean the intake pipes before starting it up and caused the fingerprints. I was pretty bummed. I even asked them to do so before starting it.
The main fuse to the back half of the scooter is in the battery box. I bought a 1986 250 Honda elite because no one could figure out why no power twas going to the motor.

I got lucky it all came together because it is tough to find those saddle bags that aren't trashed and for a decent price.

I just picked up my second Valk last week. It had a nice seat and cobra 6-6 pipes. So $1500 didn't seem too bad. The carbs need cleaned. The guy pulled them off already.
Score! Cleaning the 6 carbs is a big job though.

It is a seat I got off eBay back in late 2019 right after I got the bike. Fairly reasonable at $120 USD.
