2011-2016 Hyundai Elantra Headlight Replacement | Beginner Friendly!
มุมมอง 67Kปีที่แล้ว
I'm replacing both my halogen low beam headlights with LEDs. They turned out great and light up the road much better! I recommend keeping the old bulb that still works just in case you need a temporary fix for a future burnt out bulb! very well explained. thanks
Thank you!
Hi, are H11 LED bulbs only compatible with OEM assemblies or will they fit aftermarket assemblies too? Need to replace them entirely, but wanted to upgrade to LED. This is a great video to help me change them myself.
I was successful at completing the same swap of bulbs on my 2011 Elantra, using this video as a guide. Thanks!
Great video! One thing: at 10:24 clean gloves don’t matter if the bulb is burnt out already 😆
I found this video very helpful. Thanks for the information.
Great tutorial! So easy to understand. Followed step by step and was done in 30 minutes! Thank you!
Completely relevant and spot on instructions, keep it up. Thx
Crazy the easy and smooth teaching video to go through replacing your lights . Big thanks to
Will this work on a 2016 SE? I’ve heard that I’ll need a load equalizer since factory came with halogen
@NoodLe-cf1wo I believe it depends on the LED bulbs that you get. The bulbs I used come with that tech built in to prevent flickering.
Very good video thank you
What about the steam light around .
@@eddoll216 the glowing white strip lights up when the headlight is on. It doesn't have its own light source. Good question!
Really an excellent video, very well done and very well explained, thank you very much!
Really an excellent video, very well done and very well explained, thank you very much!
A-1 , very well done . Excellent video
This is an EXCELLENT video ! Very well done . Much appreciated.
Why mine is h7
Cheers was not sure of the O ring placement on my set of bobbins- cheers i guess correct checked later lol.
I tried putting it back apparently I have a small gap on the bottom I’ve done it before and it went back and perfectly, but when I changed the lights and decided to put it back but it didn’t go back in fully
I'm choosing to BLIND people by "upgrading" to the bluest light available at specs that any sane municipality would make illegal... Anything above 4500k should be illegal and really anything above 4000k. It's not the lumens that hurts peoples eyes most of the time it's the temperature... Other than that great video...
Thank you so much sir.
Pregunta..en este video usted solo cambia las luces de alta H11..las de baja H7 se pueden cambiar también?..Gracias por sus videos
Great instructional vid. Thank you!
Are those led lights polarity sensitive? Some don't work, but when turned around it does. 🤔
I don't believe so. The plug is shaped in a way that you physically cannot plug it in backwards.
@@andrewandmeatball yes, LEDs are always polarity sensitive.
Can the fog lamp be changed to led??
Yes, if your car trim comes equipped with fog lights
Excellent - very detailed. I was looking for something that would provide a novice like me proper level of details. Thank you very much!!
New LED'S are game changer, but they are loud!
Yes, after a while I noticed the hum in mine are getting a little louder. I only notice if I'm not driving or listening to music for now...
Would you follow this same method if buying new headlights on eBay and replacing them?
Yup, you could follow the steps and replace just the bulbs or you could just unplug the assembly and replace the whole thing with these steps and tools. Thanks for watching!
@@andrewandmeatball Thanks so much, great video by the way!
Classic brewing. Well done.
Thanks for watching!
Where did you buy your headlights
Amazon
One of the best and thorough auto DIY I've ever view. I hope you are, if not, consider teaching at an automotive school. Was able to replace my low beam driver side bulb in less than an hour on my 2016 Elantra. Thanks for your help!
Thanks man really helpful
Great video. thanks for putting in the bulb model #'s. Nice bike also!
Excellent video, especially for the beginner. You’re right, the BIAB method is a super easy and clean method for brewing beer. I wouldn’t even try to brew an all grain recipe without a bag. So how did your Mexican Lager turn out? Were you happy with it?
I ended up using more Maris Otter than I should've so it ended up tasting more like a German Festbier but it was still a good easy drinking beer! Thanks for watching!
Good job
Thanks
Best video ever! very informative!!
Steering bearing maintenece is expensive to keep those bearings greesed, the Abba stand is what i've seen to work best on kawasaki, it lifts the bike from the center frame making it easy to work on your tripple tree.
This is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing.
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Does that white thing light up, I´ve seen some that the white part lights up
It lights up because light shines through it, but there's no bulb or LED strip that powers it. Thanks for watching!
Why I have bulbs 9005HB3 in my Elantra 2014 limited ??
Someone before you might have installed incorrect bulbs
My car burns through bulbs a lot, and my mechanic told me these Elantras do that. I want brighter, longer lasting bulbs, but I don't want to blind people like I've been blinded by some cars and especially trucks. Can anyone recommend any brands of LEDs that have worked well ? Not ready to spend $100. A pair of Sylvania H11 SilverStar: Halogens are about $50 USD at Advanced Auto. Thanks !!
Speaking from experience, the LEDs that I installed in this video almost a year ago are still going strong without issue. They also level off (if you're not using your brights) to avoid shining too high and blinding oncoming traffic. Thanks for watching!
These Elantra headlights distribute the light throughout the headlight so as not to dazzle. Older cars do get stuck because their headlights are not designed for that function and the light comes directly out.
Hello, excellent video! The edition work is very good, the pace and the lighting is very good also. Just one doubt. I have a 2013 Elentra GL manual transmission and my side markers don't wanna work, and my doubt is does the front side markers stay on from the moment you switch the light lever to the first position "position lights/parking lights" On? And does the 2356 bulb also stays "On" on one of the two internal filaments? Since I bought the car it came with the side marker not working so I don't know how the normal operation should be. Hope you have more videos line-up for us. Thank you.
Amigo, esos LED de cuántos Lumens son?, desde que los colocaste aún se mantiene la lámpara bien y sin mancha causada por calor del LED? Gracias
very very good
Y las luces altas también las cambio o no ??
Thank you I’m going to get mine situated tomorrow. Is it universal sizes with the bolts? The 12 and 10mm? I have a 2016
Yup it should be the same for your 2011-2016 Elantra too!
@@andrewandmeatball followed your video step by step finished in 15 mins. Appreciate you greatly bro.
I just replaced my headlights using your video... and then I had to replace the HB/DTR lights. So now I'm just going to replace all of the other lights with LEDs as well. Thanks for the great instructional videos!
Sure thing! Glad I could help!
this was such a great, informative video! putting away my bike for the winter as a new rider and this helped me a lot! thank you (:
Glad it helped! Ride safe!
Hi, can you clarify what tools I need to instal these spools? What size ratchet?
