Heck yeah! Glad you enjoyed it and you should totally do it! Best part about this type of paint job is how unique they all turn out. Nobody will have one exactly like yours.

I don’t have an Infraction, but I’ve really wanted one since they came out. I came across a good deal on the Felony and that’s why I have that. They are essentially the same car, with a few differences. As you mentioned, the Felony has bigger tires in the rear and different gearing to compensate for the larger tires. I haven’t had an issue with that, though. The Infraction v2 also has the handbrake module, which the Felony does not. The larger tires on the rear of the felony definitely give it a cool scale muscle car look, but if I was choosing between the 2, I’d pick the Infraction. Just for simplicity of having the same gearing and tires front and rear.

I love the blue. I knew I had to get it when I first saw it. The gold wheels really set it off too. The IFS is pretty nice. I wish more crawlers had it. I feel like it's a lot more scale too, since most modern trucks have IFS.

Technically it’s one coat, but I did a couple of passes. It’s thicker than I usually go with polycarbonate paint, but I wanted to make sure I got good coverage before I had to wash off the soap.

Definitely want to back those fluorescent colors with white. They will get super dark if backed with black.

Not my favorite thing either. I’ve found that if you take your time with all the prep work, it will turn out a lot better and unique designs like this make it a lot more fun to do.

Washed it off right after I got done spraying the black paint.

All temperatures were within the safe range. The only thing I was worried about was the motor temp, but I let it cool down before continuing.

I think they are regular stickers. I’ve heard of some people using water slide decals, but I don’t think these ones are.

Nice video!! I have the xmaxx exb 8s,outcast 8s exb and xmaxx!!! So am was thinking a lot if I will buy and the losi dbxl or not!! Sure, it is one very nice rc and do nice bashing game . But I don't know, with the jumps, how goes and how brutal it is!!

Thanks! I like the DBXL. It’s a true 1/5 scale. It’s a lot bigger than the X-MAXX and Outcast 8s. It definitely doesn’t handle the jumps as well, but it does pretty good.

I’ve considered the RPM hinge pins, but I see M2C has some now too and they have a full set, not just the lower outer ones. I might give them a try, but I’m with you. You can’t make everything rigid and expect nothing to break.

@@XXLRC i have found that all u need is the outters. But ya buddy m2c makes some badass parts.. i used them for my outcast 6s.. cant never go wrong with there parts.

The quickest way to know is by looking at the ESC. The 6s version came with the VXL-6s and the 8s version came with the VXL-8s. That being said, somebody could easily swap out the ESC to make it look like an 8s version. The best way to tell is by figuring out if it has a center diff or if it has a slipper clutch. If it has a center diff, the rear bulkhead is different and will be marked with an 8. Another way to check for this is to pick up the truck and hold either the front or rear wheels and roll the other wheels along the ground. If the ones you are holding up are trying to move, it has the slipper clutch (6s) and if they don't move, it has the center diff (8s). I hope this helps.
