Electrocution means death from electric shock. This person didn't die. That place is not abandoned by any stretch of the imagination. That tower is part of the night time pattern of this station, and is rendered electrically invisible to the large day tower, but will still have a very high potential to ground at it's base. This person is a moron and should be in jail. There was in the past at least one who accidentally gotten across the power fed to the main tower while it was "hot" during the day. He had every right to be there, as he was servicing equipment that was on a leased antenna on that tower. He was out of commission for several weeks.

This is actually an AM tower, which you can tell by the insulators at the bottom. If you jumped onto the tower so at no point you're touching both the ground with your feet and the tower you should be fine, but I still wouldn't try. I am not a professional, this is just what I learned on the internet so please correct me if Im wrong ❤

You really should be careful! You film yourself committing a criminal act! A few years ago, a 14 yr old.boy filmed himself trespassing in a railroad yard. He filmed himself entering a locatomotive, and he had videoed himself throwing a railroad switch, which later caused a train to derail! An investigater was on the scene shortly. He was stupid enough to go up to the investigator and ask him what was wrong. The man said he didn't know but was investigating! The boy said clearly that someone threw a switch! This made the investigator suspicious! The investigator went toward the switch and found where a tripod for a camera had been set up by the switch! The investigator demanded to see the boy's camera, and he seen the video of the boy entering the locatimotive and throwing the switch that caused the derailment! The boy is now 17, and the procuter wants him tried as an adult! He could get 20 years in prison! This happened in Nebraska!

When exploring places that seems to be abandoned pay attention to the condition of the facilities, for example if you find a quite new cabling, or a new non-rusty distribution box when the rest of the building has fallen into disrepair, you can be 100% sure that somebody still uses it, or at least a part of it. In the video you didn´t show your hand. If you were lucky you got "only" burned your fingers. Be glad that you have all of them. The electric arc can cause much more damage to human body, and the marks on the skin ( Lichtenberg spots ) are the least. When exploring you can also find various electric components. You were probably told not to touch them but after seeing this video I´m not sure... Being non-energized they can be harmless, but be very careful, for example a capacitor, being discharged, can kill you. Good luck with your next exploration.

Towers float on ceramic insulated base so HV static from atmosphere comes down on a ungrounded tower could kill 24/7. Tower was not in use!
