I've never been so concerned for the health of a fictional character before in my life

I love this… I’ve never heard of it but I’ve never connected deeper with an aesthetic more than starflesh. The fear and the gore, the eyes and the light all feels… familiar?… it gives me a primal sense of fear, a sense of sudden awareness? Almost as if I’m being hunted. I’m so glad I saw this

Ive always loved the starflesh aesthetic!!! More people have to know about starflesh!!!

I looked at it and thought of biblical acuracey, but the idea that it's more on the fear of god makes makes me far more investedd. What does "god" mean to you? Benevolence? Mercy? Can you touch it? Can you eat it? Can you KILL it? And most importantly, can it hurt YOU? These aren't just important questions to ponder in just about any faith, but it's the kind of existential nightmare that tests it.

During the end of last year I was thinking how cottagecore had completely died, a few months later now and I’m laughing to myself as I look for pieces that are cottagecore clothing (styled in my way) as the seasons move towards spring and summer

Is there a similar aesthetic with star flesh? Because I seen one type of aesthetic, I forgot, but it looks like a soft furry and fluffy object with metallic spikes/weird shapes, I'm trying to find it...

i find it odd that people see it as glorifying abuse when the images are so terrifying and accurate. these images are so in tune with the experience of a victim.

One of the biggest issues that kept Winx from hitting as big in NA that it did in Europe was, simply, our execs & taste makers just... don't respect media for girls. It's why 4Kids dumbed it down and Nick ran it basically as a pre-school show. Ours is just not a culture that appreciates magical girl media, and it's an uphill battle to change that. At least the Winx reboot looks to keep the magical girl roots of its original better than the W.I.T.C.H. reboot, with its boring gym wear "costumes". Hopefully it'll be localized by somewhere that at least respects it & its audience, but my expectations are unfortunately low.

My thoughts on Traumacore is that its very depressing, ..... but its beautiful with its story's the pictures tell. But i also think that people should stop making those pictures becuase there are better ways to cope, spread awareness, and help others with trauma. I feel like its not a good way to cope with abuse becuase those pictures bring pleasure to others with its bright colors and edgy themes. Im a guy who doesnt have trauma from abuse from loved ones at all, but I understand what people go thorugh around the world and it breaks my heart.

In general, I wanted to address something I thought that was missing a lot in this the core part of trauma core is most mostly pinks and bright colors which are mostly used in official times as a way to cover up a stain on the table or to divert someone’s eyes to somewhere else so I assume as a member of trauma core and someone who had to live with my abuser while in the community, the pinks are to help us divert ourselves from our abusers finding out about the post and just things that would lead us to more danger in general, which I think is very smart on the part of the community

I think where Descendants fails for me compared to EAH is that Dedcendants is about the children of DISNEY princesses. Sure, yes, it makes sense that Disney would use their brand. But that also means that they're stuck with stories that have been used for marketing for decades. While EAH could play with all the possible interpretations of the original fairy tales over the centuries. They had something fresh. And especially they had access to a wider array of characters. There's no Disney Red Riding Hood. There's no Disney Swan Lake. And as someone who grew up with the original fairy tales before the Disney ones, I prefer that a lot more.

The movie is Halloween p3d0fest (as usual), the book is a horror that the author lived, and had to explore, to save his young self abused by his uncle.

TW! S"H was having trauma from having the soul of a fox, yet being born as a human. My therapist told me it was silly, she gave me an empty apology during the next session. After it was over, I proceed to be pinned down by my mum as my dad calls 000, I was lunging for knives, filling the sink with water and trying to breathe in, trying to twist my neck just too far (impossible). That empty apology pushed me to a mental relapse but this time, I wasn't hesitant.

Unrelated but i keep seeing kids on capcut asking "Are these real animals??" And i always think, obviously no, but then i check the comments and everyone is saying "Yes, its cause of radiation and blah blah blah" and my goodness i wish i could correct them all

I'm from the states and I can say that the yearning for a previous time makes me feel....uncomfortable, because Im a history nerd and happen to be aware of the ugly parts. I yearn for times yet unseen and I think THAT combined with acceptance of where we start is healthier. I don't want a pretty sun dress, but freedom from the burdens of today is VERY relatable.

As for analog horror, I mainly know about analog horror and other horror-based ARG Internet stuff because of Game Theory. I’m familiar with a lot of the big analog horror series because of them, but I’ve only watched a few analog horror series myself, as I'm also a scaredy cat. Here’s the chronological order of the ones I’ve seen: Under The Mt. Ebott by DrFlyingFish, The Ugly Duckling - An Analog Horror by DaKillaYoshi, the superhero analog horror series by OBlIVIoN, and the Inside Out analog horror series by L30-K72. I also know about Lacey Games mainly from the videos Minaxa has made about the series.

Finally got around to watching this :33 I love Analog Horror, if you're up for more recommendations I def recommend watching FNAF fan analog tapes, and in terms of games Shipwrecked 64 is absolute peak, the remake came out the first day of last year :333 It combines the ARG concept with a playable experience, having secret analog videos and secrets that are so hecken cool :333 The creator is actually working on a sequel called HI09, being a game we're gonna be able to play in our web browser as well as being even more ARG focused compared to Shipwrecked :33 I'm super excited for it

Starflesh feels both like cosmic horror filed into an aesthetic, one dissected into something comprehensible yet uncanny. Specifically with animals, even if it doesn't trigger the traditional "uncanny valley effect," considering that only happens with human faces, it feels as though something is just off, even purposefully. It's as if an angel, or something that we as humans should revere, takes the form of an animal, of prey or something docile, to not frighten us. I say it's stemmed from cosmic horror to the combining attributes of something absurd and even otherwordly, combined with something traditionally "cute" or "harmless." It draws people in, makes people weirded out, yet not outright frightened. Like something bigger, more dangerous, is at play, but the only warning is through divine appearances of cats, deer, rabbits, and the such.

I can't stand others hating on others just because someone else does something that they think is "weird" when in reality, it's just who they are and who we really are is not something any of us can control. You would probably look more like an amish person (in relation to labor duties and actual work not religious sensibilities.) That simple life I would argue is far more enriching then the neutered cottage core aesthetic.
