Great thoughts. I also loved the look but I wanted something that could be used as an everyday blender not just for smoothies so I totally agree with you. The appliance is beautiful. But for me lacking in functionality.

I ordered this and have a roost stand, I’ve been trying to figure out the perfect portable set up. My only disappointment is that the stand isnt high enough, as you stated. Really wanted to keep it but looks like I’ll send it back. The keyboard and trackpad are amazing tho 😢

Hollyland gives more high tones than DJI. For running water, the Hollyland canceled out less. The budget mic was running too hot. It was clipping a lot. Move it farther from your face and it may sound better - though still not as good as the others. Actually, moving the DJI farther away may help reduce the lows that make it sound fake. I've seen people clip them to a hat or cross-body bag strap and that may be all it needs to beat Hollyland.

I thought the Hollyland and DJI sounded similar and good the other one not so much.

btw you can get the normal version instead of the signature if the ads are a problem just write to amazon customer service and say something like the ads you're getting are not safe for children to see and you have children in you house and they'll just get rid of the ads for free. If someone says they can't then just try again with another customer service person

Thanks for the review. I’ve already ordered the Loftie and I’m hoping they’ve made improvements since your review. The other similar clock/sleep sound machine is the Hatch and it’s even more expensive than the Loftie. The less expensive sound machine/clock I purchased two months, called Hotmoon, is okay and has many cool features, as well as a free app with more sounds. But, with all of the sounds on the Hotmoon, you can tell where the sound loop breaks and starts again--and like you, my mind grabs onto that distraction. It has also acted up in other ways and I’m fed up with dealing with it. But I need the machine because I have severe tinnitus and need sleep sounds all night. Between the Hatch ($$$) and the Loftie ($$), and ,the better sound machines even at lower price points still needing to be connected to WiFi, I’m hoping I made the right choice with the Loftie. BTW, you should share you review with Loftie--they need to hear your feedback!

I bought this speaker intending to use it as a soundbar for my Hisense smart TV, but I was disappointed with the sound quality over Bluetooth. The bass is lacking, and the volume is too low, despite trying all the available settings on the TV. However, it sounds great when connected to my Android or iOS phone.

Excellent my friend. I recently bought a Sonos Roam 2 speaker and I’m questioning myself if I did the right ‘cause the volume isn’t high and the quality of sound isn’t I was expecting. The bass despairs if the volume is high, I don’t like it that. I have one HomePod mini and it’s much better than the Sonos Roam 2, (did I should get other HomePod mini instead of the Sonos?) The advantage of the Sonos is that it’s very compact, practical and movable. The HomePod mini doesn’t. The good thing is that thanks to the AirPlay I can use both devices playing on at the same time. At least Sonos did it possible. Hope I have been clear. Greetings 👋🏽 👍🏽.

Hiii I’m wondering if you can play your storymakers on the clock? I thought that was a cool feature but it doesn’t seem to get downloaded onto the clock, but only on the app? I’m only paying subscription to make those stories but seems like I can’t really listen to the stories from the clock.. Does anyone else have this same problem?

I've used Kindles, including the Scribe, for several years, probably a decade or more. I've also used an iPad for home and work for as long as the iPad 2 came out. Interestingly, I'm finding myself less drawn to the Scribe and e-ink devices as the software of these devices attempt to become more interactive. When e-ink is used just for reading and a bit of highlighting I totally see their utility. The e-ink screens are easy on the eyes and selecting e-ink text is every bit as efficient and intuitive as highlighting text on paper. However, when it comes to writing on e-ink, I find these devices falling into the proverbial uncanny valley. The experience is sort of like the real thing but not really and that difference becomes a constant reminder that I'm engaged in an awkward version of writing. The sensation is even worse with the Scribe's "active canvas". Yes, it's like writing in a book but the text rearrangement causes me to lose a sense of place in the book (which is already a challenge in an ebook) and the little window of writing is, again, an awkward, uncanny valley experience. If e-ink ever becomes fast enough to allow efficient zooming and the book file formats allow for more natural annotations, I'll be interested. Until then, software like the Scribe is just too awkward. Good design should be a complement to the native experience, not antagonistic to it.

Great video. I have an iPad mini and the Scribe and the scribe has had no writing use. I will change that this year coming up. It is easy to recommend the Ipad. It's an "all in one" device

The pencil option in the Scribe does have tilt. And…you can set the button to erase….but, if you keep hitting it by mistake, that may not help.

Making a new product is a crazy process. Making a successful one is a miracle. That being said, I thought that the choice of clear TPU had a reason, likely compliance with all international airport regulations. If the clear plastic was chosen solely for the aesthetics (or showing off the capsule collection at TSA check point), it's just a bad choice. It's still good looking while new. But there are many other better looking materials for Dopp kits that age much more gracefully, from leather and waxed canvas to newer recycled fabrics that have lightweight benefits on the side. Clear plastic bag is not most people's first choice, unless there's a great reason.

I don’t have an iPad anymore….but, I had the iPad Pro 11in (2nd generation). I found writing on that, in the vertical orientation, more cramped than I do on the Scribe. I enjoy writing in the Scribe allot more.

As you say, sadly, the AI Features (Handwriting improving & Summarization) are not available in Canada, Australia, and the U.K., i.e. outside the U.S.A. Very discouraging and a slap in the face for someone like me who has touted the Kindle Scribe from day one. In my opinion, no one should support this company unless/until this outrageous omission is corrected.

Fucking outrageous. Thanks for the review, not buying! Someone needs to make a standalone alarm clock with either pleasant alarm sounds or customizable ones (that's where wifi or bluetooth would make sense). But needing constant wifi and having no internal clock to keep time without internet connection is frickin absurd, especially at such a high price.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Maybe that was not your topic here so you did not mention it - the big difference (for myself) is that Scribe (e-ink) does not mess up with the eyes as an iPad screen. I can read and write on Scribe for hours without feeling strange strain in my eyes. With iPad that is not possible. What you say about that? Maybe my eyes are just too sensitive?

Both have different use cases. I like both. But, for book annotations, the Kobo Elipsa 2E eats the Scribe. You can actually write in the margins, between lines and so, like you would do on a paper book.

They are a glitchy mess and rhe only really good thing is the mic quality. Pass on these people. Trust me you will grow to hate them over time after being satisfied at first.

For reading on the Scribe I do two things. In bed I can put it on my thighs in its cover and it stays up pretty well and with the larger text size the distance is not a problem. To actually hold it in bed I use it horizontally with a two column layout which is easier to hold as center of gravity is lower and it mimics the two pages of a book.

First! I have both and I gravitate to the Scribe more for note taking. Especially during in-person meetings. The iPad may be too distracting. The iPad is more for productivity and content consumption. Gread vid. Keep it up!
