I'm sure I asked before, but where on earth did you find all of these salts? I have a collection, but put away. I'm happy you show these. Makes me happy to see them again.
When I lived in Ohio, I found a lot of them antiquing. Ohio has a strong and long history of glassmakers around the region and glass seems to be littered everywhere there. I also could find salts thrifting. I did purchase a portion of the collection from Ebay which seems to always have a lot of availability and variety. They are fun to collect!
So sweet! You don't glue them in?
I do glue them in! I just didn't in this video.
@@stortsmarket Thanks! I bought your tutorial and it's fantastic, so detailed!
Did you collect all of these
Yes! Mostly through antiquing and thrifting as well as some Ebay purchases.
Wundervolle kleine Glasgefäße! Vielen Dank! Tolles Video! Greetings from Germany and good luck 🍀
The round hard plastic template (with the cross hairs on it) - where did you get that? It is perfect for centering the design! I am obsessed with these!!
Thanks! I do not remember where I got the template but I have some that I will be listing in my Etsy shop in the next couple of weeks. I typically post updates about Etsy info on my blog - Stortsmarket.com - and also on Instagram - @lesleystorts and @stortsmarket.
Love your cherish quilt and love watching your glass unboxings .

Thank you! And welcome! I have more glass to share.
My mother passed away she left thousands go glassware a barn and 4 ny basements im losing my mind. I dont like ebay to sell i bren trying to post but lose.
There are definitely avid glass collectors in the world. I bet you have some treasures in all that your mother left behind.
Thanks for sharing. Never would have guessed the uranium glass! Just found you and subscribed. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤😊
Thank you! And welcome - happy to have you here.
These are gorgeous! Do you need to attach cushion with any glue?
Thank you! I do attach with glue 98ish% of the time. Occasionally a piece does not require glue but for practical reasons, gluing in the pincushion works best for me.
Love the salt cellars. I am a lover of glass, and I make bird baths, feeders, and flowers with at least one piece of vintage glass. Where do you find all of that amazing gorgeous glass?
It is fun to play, make and create with the glass! I have found the majority of my glass through antiquing and the occasional find while thrifting or attending an estate sale. I found most of my glass while living in Ohio. I purchased many "lots" of glass from Ebay when I was building my salt cellar collection a few years ago. I check regularly and there are still hundreds available on Ebay. I'm a part of a salt cellar group on Facebook and there are some serious collectors there and sometimes people have sales. I haven't purchased from any of those individuals, but it is a frequent occurrence for sales to happen - so another avenue for buying. Good Luck! And thanks for watching.
that cutting sound is so satisfying! Sharp skills at work!
The pics of ur items are just beautiful!!!!!
Wowwwww .... Such great items!!
Hi neighbor, just found your channel. I make pincushions all the time. I look forward to seeing your videos. Close to Lexington.
Hello fellow maker! Thanks for watching.
I have a collection of salt cellars. My plan is to unbox them and take pictures. Someday!
Those salts are treasures waiting for you! Thanks for watching.

Absolutely! I have many more boxes to catalog and go through.
I absolutely LOVE your channel! I am fascinated , I'm a huge lover of glass. Thank you.
Thanks so much!
I love ALL your little pincushions and thank you for sharing so many process videos!! Question: where did you get your pink/orange circle templates?
I'm so glad they are helpful! And the templates - I've had mine for years but I'm having some made and will have them in my Etsy shop soon!
@@stortsmarket I'll be watching for them, thank you!
So amazing! Love that fabric selection.. Congrats on your new longarm!!
Thanks Julie! Odile's fabric is so fun with so many possibilities.
Thank you
I have watched you from box 1. How many salt cellers does one person need?
Haha - that's a personal decision! I have hundreds but estimate that I've made over 2,000 pincushions from salt cellars and other pieces of glass. So, depending on what you are doing with them, a few or a few thousand.
Can people see in through those windows?
There's a coating on the windows but if lights are on inside, especially at night, you can see in. There are roller shades that can be lowered.
I have absolutely no idea why I clicked on this but it was worth it and satisfying to watch.
Aww! Glad you liked it! And I kind of felt that way when I started collecting the glass...and then I just kept going back and collecting more.
I watched until the end, and really enjoyed the way you displayed the glass and then featured the pieces individually 🙂
Thanks so much! The glass is so fun and interesting.
I think I’m in love with Jadeite!
It is a beautiful color in glass!
that tiny button is perfect.. it does add the perfect touch.. have you ever decided not to use a button?
We always use buttons! When my daughter and I wrote the pattern many years ago, we decided our style was a button and 6 threads on every pincushion.
very cute!.. wonderful choice of fabric!
Thank you! I went back and forth on that fabric because you cannot see the whole flower. In the end, I really liked how it turned out.
oh yes.. much better!.. lovely!
Thanks! That glass was a little difficult so I was happy I could find a more complimentary print.
