I totally get your frustration, and you are not too old. Young as I am, I once recorded a video 5 times before posting. No one really mentally prepare for the distress of doing TH-cam. Then we just suck it up and continue 😂 and ask ourselves Is this worth it? 😂The anxiety with health issues are unfortunate, I hope all your tests are good. I remember feeling so anxious going to hospitals and 3 people in my family (dad, grandma, grandpa) have cancer so the hospital is so so stressful for me, so I just refused to go to check-up as a coping mechanism. But yeah, just a rant, I don't want to make it about me because these are problems you're having. Great video as always, and I didn't know you do crocheting 😄
So glad you are enjoying The Night Parade Stuart. Thank you for linking my video, and I agree that it can be really challenging to balancing booktube with life. Keep at it Stuart, I am sure you will find a way.
Awesome review video I picked All Hallows up on vacation. Was going to be on my tbr for October 2025. I feel you on frustration with technology. It’s definitely a love hate relationship. Especially when you take time to write a review only to not have it save properly.
Thanks so much for watching my video and commenting. Losing work is definitely the worst.
Hello I am watching your video, very nice video, I like it very much. Can you reach more people with these videos? Because video views and subscriptions are the easiest ways to earn money from TH-cam.🎉🎉🎉
Hi Stuart. I’m sorry you had such technological difficulty on this video. It sounds very frustrating. I’ve had similar things happen too, and it’s very frustrating because I don’t usually know what I’ve done wrong or how to fix it. You are not “too old” to be doing this. I’m very glad you’re here.
Hi Pat. Thanks. I don't have much patience for technological issues anymore. I appreciate that. I'm glad I'm here too.
Yes, the technology of video production often brings me undone, it's hard when you're not a natural 'tech-head'. I easily become very, very flustered by the whole technology side of BookTube, let's muddle through together. I love your work. I'm really keen to read 'The Bookshop', this looks fantastic. Your wobbles are just amazing, very clever, wow! Geez, you actually have an amazing background in technology, & no, you are not too old, your videos are great. I always look forward to watching new videos by you, Stuart. It is such a joy to follow one another's bookish adventures.
Sounds good. I appreciate that. I love your work too. I think you will like The Bookshop. I am loving doing the Wobbles. I was fortunate to get the degree I got and work in the jobs I did. Thanks for your kind words, Philip. It make me feel good that you look forward to watching my videos. It is a joy
@@stuartgriffin1001 You are terrific, Stuart. Keep well. I am thinking of all you decent folk over there in the USA.
Hey Stuart, filming a video and the sound not recording is so frustrating. It's only happened to me once but it's very demoralising. I thought All Hallows was pretty good too, I gave it 4* I think. Christopher Golden has a book called Road of Bones that's pretty good. I'm reading a Ronald Malfi book called Black Mouth at the moment, I'm enjoying it, he's becoming an author i really want to read more of. Have a good week 🙂
It is very demoralizing. I hate doing things more than once. I should give that book a look. This is the first book of his I have read. I was surprised how prolific he is. Thanks John. I hope you have a good week too.
What a great tour! That was fun! I've been thinking about doing a bookshelf tour myself to compliment a big UN-haul I'm planning at the end of the year.
Thanks Reney. If you do the bookshelf tour, I look forward to watching it
thank you for showing us your book stacks and put in good words for me in your video. I know you mostly watch and recommend Booktuber and my videos doesn’t align with that much 😂 I’d love to film a book shelf tour on my channel too. It’s in my my must-film list. And tbh, I was like omg that’s a lot of stack. And such a wide variety of great books. That room would be awesome for playing video games. Like you, I have so many books that I haven’t read yet 😂 and I have come to accept that I cannot read all of the books I want in my lifetime. I love how engaging this video feels because I keep wanting to know what other types of books you have. And the realness of that super cluttered room is 💯
You're welcome, Anh. I do love your videos and will definitely continue to watch them. I used to watch a lot more non-booktubers, but I subscribed to so many booktubers, that there is not much time for other types of youtubers. I look forward to your bookshelf video. It is a lot of books. And there are more I wasn't able to show. There are so many books out there it is a sad truth that we can only read a very small percentage of them. I'm glad you found it engaging. I was a little embarrassed by the room. But it is what it is.
hello friend, I am analyzing your TH-cam channel, your channel is 17 year old, you are publishing 109 videos but only 191 subscribers, you should have minimum 1M+ subscribers. You work so hard to make videos, but you don't want to benefit from these videos. Like, lots of likes, comments, views, subscribes. Most importantly, don't you want to earn money from your TH-cam channel for your hard work? Did you know you can earn money from TH-cam?😂😂😂
I'm curious, you don't feel the need to purchase bookcases, & assemble your library as part of your nesting in place? I love that we read such divergent books, & dwell with them so differently. It is so reassuring & emboldening to embrace difference - & love it!
Once I clean the room, I showed with all the clutter, I would like to purchase a bookcase or two for the books I plan to keep (mostly special editions and autographed copies). Most of the books I showed will be donated to the library after I read them. I live with my sister. We don't really have a lot of space. There are only 2 reasons I wish I was rich. One is that we could have paid for in home care for our mother in her declining years. The 2nd is that I could have a big library and wouldn't have to get rid of books and other stuff. It is good that are shared love of books is enough common ground for us to have good discussions abou them.
@@stuartgriffin1001: Yes, I'm lucky in my tiny home, I have my own space, I've had to house most of my library with one of my daughters & with mum, but I have space for all my treasures, & what I need for current projects. Hope you find the right shelves. I really enjoy your videos, Stuart.
@apoetreadstowrite Thanks Philip
Great tour Stuart! You own wounderful books.
Thanks Milena

Hi Stuart, thank you for doing our tag. I loved your spontaneous approach responding to the prompts. Jules Verne's book is calling me! Happy Thanksgiving!

You're welcome Reney. Thanks to you and Daniela for creating the tag. Happy reading to you too
Another great tag video Stuart. Donny Sweeney is such a turd, I really disliked him, the Dad at the party was horrid too.
Thanks John. He was horrid. I was reminded of you saying that you sometimes want the unlikeable people to be killed in horror novels. I felt that way about the Dad at the party. I can't imagine someone saying what he did to a 17-yr old girl.
Thanks for another wonderful video, brimful with variety & joy, I really look forward to your videos, Stuart - you are a marvel!
Thanks so much Philip. I really appreciate your kind, supportive words
hello friend, I am analyzing your channel, and see that your channel is not monetized. Can you earn from TH-cam? Do you want to earn from your TH-cam channel? If you want to earn then you must get TH-cam monetization.😂😂 😂😂
Terrific wrap-up, Stuart. Your commitment to both PEN America and the American Library Association is admirable. You are right that the list of banned books is going to continue to grow.
Thanks Pat. Although I am scared and depressed, I want to do what I can
I am very interested to read The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie but probably a library book kinda deal.
I read it on Libby. Make sure you get the 10th Anniversary edition. There are some good additions in the back of that edition
you should do a bookshelf tour. I would really love to see your collection
It's embarrassing to admit that none of my books are in bookshelves. They are in stacks and bags. I will do a video where I show some of my books. I will tag you in the video
@@stuartgriffin1001 no dont be book stacks are the best. Yes, I would love to be tagged. I'll wait for that video. 😂
Love the matching jumper & hair, & I love how you always have multiple reading adventures all running alongside one another, I can only read one thing at a time. Your wobbles are so adorable. I'm about to try Lovecraft also, I'm nervous about reading someone so known for racism (& other crudities), so not sure how I'll go, especially in this political era. I'll see... I love your commitment to PEN, & the Librarian Association. Good on you, Stuart. Look after yourself, stay strong & creative. Thanks for another fun video.
Thanks Philip. I didn't plan the matching, but i am glad they did match. I can't help fliting from one book to another. We each need to do what works best for us though. The advantage of Lovecraft is most of his stories are short stories. And the longest (At The Mountains of Madness) is only a novella of around 100 pages. I suggest that you give it a try. If he doesn't work for you, move on to something else. I will be interested in what you think of him. Thank you. I am trying to do my part in fighting book banning. Thanks Philip.
UConn Women! That's my team! LOVE them!
Very cool that you love them. I've been a fan since the 1993 - 1994 season
@@stuartgriffin1001 I probably signed on in the later 90's.
I think I read something by Golden in the past, but I can't remember which one it was. I've heard all good things about "All Hallows", tho. I knew you would like "Part-time Indian" - great book! Happy Reading!
Happy reading to you too Reney
I probably lean towards being a book murderer, but i would definitely judge a person for just tearing pages (still not sure why they would either on purpose lol) and probably tell them I was judging them for it haha. Great vid Stuart
They're your books so you can murder them all you want. Thanks Justin
@stuartgriffin1001 haha, for sure. Still won't rip the pages on purpose though lol
I read All Hallow's last year. I haven't read any of Christopher Golden's other books yet. The Frankenstein is adorable. Great wrap-up!
Christopher Golden did some Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels and comics that I read. All Hallows is the first of his original novels that I ever started reading. Thanks Jen
Your video is very nice, I feel very good. But in my mind the video is not SEO because such a beautiful video has very few views, likes and subscriptions. Can I see what could be causing low views, subscriptions? Do you want to grow your channel? 😢😂😢😂
Thank you for the tag!!
You're welcome Maeve
Enjoyed your answers 👍 I tend to read a lot of non fiction and refer back to the book and connect with other books, so annotating makes it easier. Noah did a great job with the tag and kept it easy. Great video
Thank you. I can see how annotation would be helpful for a non-fiction reader. He did do a good job. Thank you
Your video is very nice but your video title, meta description, meta tags are very bad, chances of growing in the channel are low.
You are definitely not a book murderer, Stuart. 😉
LOL agreed, Noah will be pleased.
Thanks Pat
I cherish the idea of the book as cultural artefact, I am reverent, maybe too much so, but I love my books. I think all my answers to these questions would be very similar to yours. Really enjoyed listening to your answers to these questions. Thanks for another wonderful video.
Thank you Philip. You're welcome
I appreciate your “spoilers” on Normal People. It really helps me know that the book wouldn’t be for me. Nine books is fantastic!! Especially with that amount of pages! I’d loved to hear how you like your watch!
I'm glad you found my spoliers helped. That makes me realize that I should use spoilers in the future to mention specific things that might disturb people. Thank you. I am really happy with my month. I still have a lot to learn. I love how it tracks my steps. And reminds me when I should get up and move. I know it sounds funny to say this, but I love that it shows me the time. I no longer have to pull out my phone to see what time it is. I will try to remember to talk more about my watch in my next wrap-up video.
@ I think it can really help people know if there’s content they want to avoid. I’ve started wearing an off brand fit-bit and my favorite thing is seeing the time! 🤣 My least favorite thing is that I have to charge it. I’ve been thinking of just going out to buy myself a watch.
I LOVED "Part time Indian" - it was sad and funny and informative. If you ever get an opportunity to listen to it on audio, I highly recommend it! Once you get past his speech patterns, it's amazing to hear his story and his thoughts in his own voice. He also wrote a book about his mom's passing which I listened to and did not finish. It had great moments, but overall I did not get into it half as much as Part-time Indian. I also have "Reservation Blues" somewhere on my shelves which I hope to get to someday soon! LOL! LOVE your woobles. You're getting really good at those. They're adorable!
Thank you Reney. I added the audiobook to my TBR. Thank you. I love doing the wobbles.
Your video is very nice, I really like it. But I don't feel good because the views and subscriptions are very low in such beautiful videos. Can I see what could be the cause of low views, subscriptions?😃
Stuart, I always appreciate your comments on my videos. You have made me feel so welcome in the short time I have been on Booktube.
Thanks Heather. I love your videos. I'm happy that I have helped you feel welcome
Hi Stuart. Nice to see the subscribers clicking up. Happy reading.
Hi Nigel. Thanks you and thanks for noticing. Happy reading to you too
Congrats on a great reading month in October!! Looks like with all that awesome book mail, November will be a good reading month as well. i love your positivity and really appreciate your encouragement every time Mr.Griffin. I has helped me through a lot of time I feel demotivated the first month I started. Hi Milena. I look forward to discussing what we both think of it
Great wrap-up, Stuart! How wonderful that you bought Nicole’s books!
Thanks Pat. I'm happy I got them
'Vampires of El Norte' sounds great, I should search this one out, think I'd really enjoy it. 'The Bookshop': what a fabulous cover - love it. I would definitely enjoy this, I think. Like everyone, I love your wobbles, so cute, quite adorable. Your Arcane Society book boxes look delightful, what a treat.
