@@a.d.d.theater8023 your welcome . Already checked and completed the whole series. Boris is also an amazing tech recently with there new features in Mocha 2024 its creating a revolution in tracking field. Ahh that's remind me I have watched the Mocha 2024 tutorial which you made .

you sure your using the correct driver??..if so, try ssh into it and adjust the raspi-config and turn on vnc..if you can vnc and see the desktop..that means you prob have the wrong driver..and there is nothing wrong with the monitor..if that doesnt work..try just unplugging your monitor, and ssh/vnc into the pi. if everything works..its definately a driver issue. you can actually remove or pass thru all the driver settings in the config..by putting a "#" in front of all the HDMI commands in the config.txt file. And turning them on one by one till you find the culprit. There is a lot of resouces when dealing with the HDMI config..to beable to tell you the perfect handshake here is unrealistic..All I can say is confirm your model of your LCD screen, make sure you HDMI plug is in ...and its seated on the headers firmly. Technically it should work without the drivers, ..the drivers allow you to use the touch screen if your monitor allowes it..and drivers let you manipulate how its served up to you..like rotating it, changing its refresh,..in the case of this projects, it needs to be rotated and adjusted to the Left so it fits in the tv window. .But if your using it just as a monitor..then drivers shouldnt be needed.

@@a.d.d.theater8023 I understood that this display MPI3508 from aliexpress is shit for raspberry pi4b. It cant read settings from config.txt properly, it cant run with other resolutions, I cant rotate display even. Piece of shit that ruined whole project.

@@avee_maria sorry you had an issue with the monitor..I purchased mine from Aliexpress and it works just fine. mabe its a hit/miss sort of thing. Not sure how you cant read the settings from the config.txt..if you type.... sudo nano /boot/firmware/config.txt.......nothing comes up in Nano??

just export as USDA or USD and import the USD scene into Blender..thats it..USD is the new hotness for all 3d packages to be able to chat with one another. I just tried it..works just fine.

I may do that..but unfortunately...as much as I've been trying to push this plugin to my friends and the rest of the industy. Seems when it comes to high end comp work, They've moved to Fusion or Nuke. I dont do much mo graph, so AE is very much still relevant. I feel from a professional standpoint, this plug in is about 10yrs too late. While it is briliant in its execution, its still playing catchup to rather a heafty legacy of industry standards when it comes to Node base compositing. I applaud the inventer of this, I truely do..but as it stands its still not ready for prime time. I eventually will DL the magic node2 and see what upgrades have been done, and possibly a new tutorial on that.

did you d/l the latest build for 2024? ..simplest thing it to just re-download it from Bors FX..just log onto your account and d/l it if your in the subscription. I uninstalled/reinstalled..also got rid of my 2023 version while I was uninstalling.

I assume you already know how to do a 3d track in blender?? you just want to get it from Blender to AE?

I thank you very much. I am curious how Max or Maya spits out Geo. Mocha is "Y" up where as Blender is "Z" up. And also rotated the geo 45 degrees when it exported it for some reason. I even applied/froze the transform data to reset back to 0.

just added a tutorial on adding 3d objects..file format is USD..

I belive so..if it has a "read geo" and has the ablity to do 3d space. Like have a camera and scanline render node. I only have Nuke X because I use it for my freelance.

So I have a buddy who has the Non Commercial version..and it works just fine.

I will be making a longer video this weekend going more in depth. This vid was intended to just get people started and using the cool new feature.

upon re-reading your question..I dont understand the question. you dont use the nuke camera tracker..your using a dead 3d camera and reading a the path , motion..etc from the usd file.

I totally agree..also the next video I'm gonna do has to do with the Precomp Node and how powerfull it can be on a team project. But where I was working, they couldnt get it to work on a render farm.

@@a.d.d.theater8023 the precomp node was an abortion of an idea. you’ll never see it in a production setting as it is now. now, if they released a new version similar to an HDA from Houdini I would use them in every template I make. Version control, relative/absolute overrides on exposed knobs. most studios use a copy/paste/replace approach after a template is released.

@@negakurai I've actually used it several times in production. has come in quite handy for smaller teams.
