Lovely garden! Just an FYI: the ornamental pepper plant is toxic to cats and dogs, so if ingested it can effect the central nervous system. The same is with Jasmine...it is also toxic to pets. I’m commenting this because I learned the hard way 😬 Hopefully they don’t eat it or lay on it, but it may be a good idea to block it some way. Thx for the beautiful patio tour!

Never use miracle gro and also buying Venus fly traps from big box stores need an acclimation period as they’re mostly kept in unhealthy conditions like low light and not the right type of water

I had a busted old aerogarden. The water pump stopped working 3 times. I bought one of those glass terrariums on Amazon without a bottom. I cut the top of my aerogarden to fit the terrarium on top. Filled the base with media. Clay pebbles in the bottom.

That was miracle grow in that peat moss. You're gonna kill any carnivorous plant you put in there. You know that right? Maybe you didn't mean to show the miracle grow.

Be careful of that miracle grow peat; I was going to get some but decided against it because it said clearly on the front of the package that it is impregnated with fertilizer. This same is true for the miracle grow perlite also for some reason.

I have a lot of friends living in apt and worried about food shortages. I have been looking for apartment gardening videos that shows how to grow more nutrient dense veggies that would be more filling like beans, potatoes, or maybe squash. That plant you found is called Taro , Kalo , Malanga . Just do your research on how to properly prepare it.
