They're both great options, where they can share most roles with a few where one is better than the other. If you have any good healers that synergize with Furina, you can go for her, since she's (almost) here. Yelan's rerun may not be too far away, so you can go for Furina and see how luck treats you. Otherwise plan b is getting Yelan. (Best case scenario is you get both with luck)

Furina solos

??? Idk if you just like the character, but in terms of meta, with no constellations, Yelan is the lowest value out of all of them... Her damage is basically the same with C6 Xingqiu with equal investment (tested), and she has massive ER issues. Her hydro application is also less than Xingqiu, and Xingqiu provides interruption resistance, healing (low ik) and hydro resistance shred. The only thing going for her would be she does a little more damage and her A4 passive. Furina is literally the best buffer in game right now, so they're not even comparable. One of the highest meta value units along with Nahida and Neuvillette right now, in my opinion.

Staff of Scarlett sands is her best weapon for vape build and tbh this dmg isnt even that much high, its a good built xiangling but not crazy xiangling in speedruns i have seen 100k+ xiangling vapes but yeah needs luck with artifact RNG so can't really do much about it

@@Trihv aah that explains it ur xiangling should easily do above 100k vapes idk if ur kazuha is c2 or c0 tho that can also make a big difference
