Throwing Knees ... Master the SwitchStep
i do boxing, and i will never spar a thai fighter again.
cap absulte trash, muay thai is the solo reason why you should never fight a short asain
Boxers have bad footwork most of the times and most of them only knows how to throw punches and not how to defend themselves, MMA fighters hardly can punch with the right technique, and Muay Thai fighters only kick. I am a boxer and i train together with MMA fighters and see then spar, my sister does Muay Thai and my dad was a Boxer then a Muay Thai fighter. So i don't talk into the bel air. Though all sports are appreciated every one of them has it's perks and cons. It's unnecessary to be fed up about anything, if someone is clever enough to see the opponents weaks spots and use it against them they can win, no matter what martial arts they do
As someone who did a bit of both I can tell you boxing is perfect until you get a solid knee and get someone’s shin in your leg ..
Him: boxing People on comment: muaythai Me: wrestling Wrestling is the best Martial arts for MMA because the rule favor it
"Everybody has a leg until they get kicked in the plan" - Tuay Mikson
Tbh I'd say both combining both would give an advantage.
This guy has never done any clinch work before.
You clearly don’t know Muay Thai
💯% accurate they must not watch One Championship For the casuals yall know rodtang right?
Ever wonder why you don't see boxers challenging to Mui Thai fighters like how Mui Thai fighters be fighting every gd body at any weight class? Lol
Nah. What's best for MMA is a base of combined boxing and muay thai. I'm been training Muay Thai for 2 months and can hold my own against most of the guys in my all levels class when it comes to upper body striking; but when you add kicks into the mix I have no idea how to read them. If I can control space and pace I'm good, but add in legs and throw me off and I'm completely worthless. It took me 6 months of boxing to get decent, in 8 months I was beating competition level amateurs in sparring; I can't see myself even getting comfortable with Muay Thai in less than a year let along being okay at it.
It boils down to whose the best man on the day; don't underestimate either fighting art - both could learn much from each other.
Silat number 1 in the world
dumn ahh boxers
Man kickboxining better
MMA works way better for stand-up game in MMA than boxing. A boxer w ground game and skills is not surviving stand up game w leg kicks, head and body kick, elbows knees, and clinch work. But if you are just comparing the difference between the two, yes you're correct.
this isnt about who will win in a fight muay thai or boxing .. its about which is better for mma ..
Straight punches
Muay Thai has clinching, sweeps, knees, elbows, kicks. For mma Muay Thai is the better option. But you need boxing too
Dude who made this clip. I’m 160 5’7 amateur Muay Thai. Let’s do an mma match I’m much smaller will show you Muay Thai is more effective
Bro completely ignored the fact that boxers can’t kick or take a kick
"foot work: boxing Punching: boxing Head movement: boxing Literally everything else: Muay Thai"
Its funny seeing peoples comments " leg kicks bro" any time someone trys to say boxing is good for mma people always say some dumb shit😂.
Technically muay thai is better for mma since it has kick, elbows and punches
Muay Thai in my opinion 😅
why would you learn boxing for mma you use half the staff in muay thai in mma elbows, knees, kicks, sweeps, and different striking I don't see ufc fighters beating boxers because its a different game
I mean khabib did win against connor but if it was before the mayweather fight connor sleeps kebab
One leg kick and you are done
I did Muay Thai for some time. My fiancé is Thai. We plan to move to Thailand in the near future. I completely agree with his viewpoints. You can still love your style and acknowledge and respect another style. I hate reading comments with people argue which is better. It comes down to the individual. I good fighter is willing to learn constantly. The all applies so long as it’s not some bullshido
Respectfully disagree boxing has amazing techniques . However mauy Thai utilities your whole body . Kicks and elbow are necessary for MMA . In my opinion these two sports need to be cross trained together in order to maximize your lethality as a fighter . Boxing will give you head movement, foot work , the punching power and and hand skills . Mauy Thai takes care of everything else.
Ryan is a talented fighter. No one should doubt that. And I don’t fault him for promoting himself on social media over the years; he made himself a star. Not many fighters can and will do that.. Most fighters even if they’re talented - are boring and have no star power. It’s not in their DNA… All that being said the 3.5 pounds did mean a lot and he had no intention of making it. Haney on the other hand cut and drained himself to do it. And if Haney would have canceled the fight after so many people brought tickets would have the villain and most hated person in boxing…. Ryan got his get back over how he feels he was wronged for the weight stipulations he agreed to for the Tank fight. Haney paid for it.. lol.
Wrong.
Boxing is just punching and dodging also in my opinion it's on number 10 the best martial art.
Tyson held back on Roy, in IMO…. He could have really hurt him..
I could not agree more. It has gotten so bad they claim the league will be taking a look defense this summer..
I agree. Anyone can be dangerous- trained or untrained. Most people can punch or even kick at you hard enough to pose you a treat, whether they have Martial Arts training or not…
Everyone has a plan until they get kicked in the waste waist
Mauy thai is straight aggressiveness wdym the best fighters are always marching forward you trippin
I do both
Lost case but happy for him .Got some views least
Calf kicks have entered the chat
❤️🤍🖤. Muay Thai
I do both
Self taught sadly would get cooked if I’m fighting someone trained
haed movment in box is shit for muay thai u will just get kicked in face most of the times
Boxing: we take punches Muay Thai: we take victims
It's a man's natural instinct to fight with hands.
Boxing + Wrestling beats Muay Thai, but Boxing on its own gets DESTROYED by Muay Thai; the teep is longer than the jab, the boxer has no answer for leg kicks, and in a clinch the boxer gets hit with elbows & knees & foot sweeps/throws. The best boxer loses to the best Muay Thai fighter in any weight class.
There is one Fighting style and that's Boxing people really don't understand that all these names muay thai kickboxing karate kungfu...etc are all branches of Boxing the ultimate fighting is Boxing anybody that fights is a Boxer.
Head movement is just as good in muay thai, just doesnt look as stylish since theres not as much ducking punches because you'll fly your head into knees or kicks
