You can't beat the Clare coast
Final day of my 15 day trek around Ireland. Getting back to Galway to start and hugging the Clare coast down to Loop head before catching the Shannon estuary up to Kilimer to close the loop at the ferry.

Day 2 cycling 2500 Km around Ireland. started the day with a climb up the Connor pass, it's about 5 Km on both sides and at 6-7% it's not the toughest climb. Later in the day Coomanaspig in south Kerry is a different ball game, shorter climb but much steeper. www.idonate.ie/paulkeanemiztomal
Cycling around Ireland

First day cycling around Ireland, i hadn't planned starting today but the weather is so good i should be on my bike. Staying as close as possible to the coast and using the lighthouses to keep me honest. Dingle was the target (150km) but i had underestimated the weight of the bike which had shot up carrying odds n ends for 2 week's away. Roughly estimated at 2500 Km and must cover x amount p/d ...

Hey Rotostrokes, When you coming back to Lyreacrompane the countryside? Hope you are doing well with the cycling? Happy New Year to you my man.
Odran how you doing... has the snow gone from Lyreacrompane? think ye had it bad there. Yes we will definitely meet up end of February start of March
@ I’m very good. The snow is finally starting to melt these last couple of days.
Nice place ❤❤❤
Wouldn't have believed it about Galway. P
Great cycling 200km in a day shows you how far you can travel on a bicycle no need for them expensive cars.
Keep it going - and mind those crosswinds. P
On the home stretch now 👍
Great cycling you are some man for one man haha.
I know!...been telling people that for years 😂
That was a tough day, but You made it. Impressive-
Thank you ..strong head winds are a head wrecker
One down many to go! :)
Good luck for Mayo. Keep it going. P
Looks a bit wild up there - stay warm and stay safe. P
👍
Antrim coast road can be a bit bendy (and windy); but hope you enjoy it. P
That was county Down, Antrim's coast road is the next video and it's great
From a dad with two young boys who can barely get into the shed on the trainer, fair play and keep it up. Enjoying each video.
Yes it is impossible to get time for yourself with young kids...hang in there until they are 10 12ish (and while you still have influence) then everyone hit the bike's hard
Nice to see Carlingford again. Hope you manage to do Warrenpoint / Rostrevor. Keep going and be careful in the cold. P
Looks like a good end to the day; you deserve it! P
It was a dusty day
Can't see how you resist the temptation to stop and do a bit of fishing. Good man - keep going.P
Gotta stay focused
Great effort. Respect
Thank you
Never been to Cork - thanks for showing it. P
Cork is great 👍
Ahh man I live in Cloyne and if I had seen you, you could've stayed with me. Next time 🙂
Thank you, yes next time...what is with the people in Cloyne, everyone is so nice...i got the room FOC from the Rock bar.
@@rotostrokes5856 The guvnor must've either been away or got a knock on the head- he wouldn't give you the skin off his milk! You're welcome back in Cloyne/East Cork anytime.
@@Chief_Brody 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who keeps putting all those hills there? P
Where would we be without hill's
Keep it going. Good luck and all the best.P
Thank you 👍
The TH-cam algo is a strange thing. Here's me missing Cork after being there for 11 years and up pops this vid. You passed by my old house at 7m9s 🙂 You missed a spot by not going to Ballycotton but that would've taken you out a bit. Subscribed!
Yes they are watching you 👁👁 thanks👍
Wow amazing my friend ! You did the dingle mountain wow, that was the only one that we skept during our travel, i like this video continue like that :D so good memory to see you doing this road 😊
Thanks Gael yes the Dingle mountain is great, not too difficult. Hope all the family is safe and well.
Was there 40 years ago. Remember it clearly - what a part of the world. P
Beautiful part of the world alright
You going to Lyreacrompane anytime
Hey Odran..i got a heap of editing to do with my last trek so not traveling much...we will get out in the new year 👍

@@rotostrokes5856 No not yet why
Great to see you back - looking well. P
👍
Good to see you back out on the bicycle 🚲 around beautiful 🇮🇪
Thank you
Good stuff. Romet makes bikes since like 1948. They know what they are doing. They still manufacture all their framesets by themselves, only the components are shipped from overseas.
So inspiring to watch you out on the bike. The videos are great, but if I may be so bold, they deserve a better soundtrack. Best of luck on the weather for your new adventure!
Great video
Thank you
Irish eyes are smiling when it's sunny and you're on the bike.
You should have been a songwriter 😁
Would u ever put a nice cheerful bell on your bike for god sake , its a great way t greet the people 😂😂, keep on truckin !🚵♂️, happy t pledge t few bob but cant find u on idonate

Well, that was a great adventure, good on you! Shame about the rain in the end, but you made it and that's all that counts
Thank you
All the best and many thanks.Take a couple of days out of the saddle!
Thank you
Great cycling you must have no blood pressure problems with all that salt haha.
It's a myth that salt is bad for you...if in doubt add more salt! 😁
Hey man how are you doing you did this same video already
Hi Odhran, doing good thanks...what are you at for the summer?
@@rotostrokes5856 I’m feeding the calves for my grandad because he is gone on holiday

serious miles fair play to you.

Doing really well because everyone knows it's a long way to Tipperary. Wondering why you'd need 5 water bottles in Ireland?
6 bottles... it's not water it's my "special" mix😁
Keep it going Paul. Just donated - its hard to find your donate page - maybe put a link in the comments or on your videos ( I didn't notice it, if it is on them)
Thank you, yes good idea i should do that
Very impressive landscape, makes on envious. That's a really great adventure, thank You to let us take part of it.
Thank you
Oh wow you dod it nice! Mozen head we miss this beautiful area. Bantry durrus I recognize the road you took :D i'm hapy to see you on the bike ! Hope the rest on the journey was a succes, you are back in your house actually ?
Yes Gael it was a great success thanks, 8 days. Hope Fanny and family are good, where are you guys now?
Wow kudos to you, 200 kms, well done💪👍 I may have missed, but are you on a time frame to do so many a day,or did the legs just feel that good..?
Yes the idea was to do as much as possible and to ignore the legs 😀😀
Wow epic ride, hope you make it to the end💪 if I can make one suggestion though: maybe nice to diversify the music scores a bit more? The beautiful landscapes don't always resonate with the music for me,but other than that, keep going mate👍
Thank you....i'll see what i can do
Great cycling fare play to you no problem to you.
Thanks Sean 👍👍
Wonderful trip and wonderful pictures of Ireland. You're a real ambassador for your country. I wish You good luck for the whole trip and hope that You can enjoy it, even when it's real challenge.
