2024 OVKA 100cc Masters Race 2 Final
Started the race from 6th. Made a good move through turn three and came out in 4th. I was trying to get around the 51 kart when the 27 was able to use his momentum and pass me. Once I cleared the 51 I was trying to reel in the leaders but couldn't make any progress. After one of the longest and most frustrating days in a long time I was able to finish 4th.

Started in the last row of the field. Tried to pick through the field and work my way to the front. Another driver spun and I tried to avoid him and ended up hitting his kart and then getting run over from behind by another driver. Once I started rolling again I was knew the front was knocked off center. Finished out the race and started work on the kart as soon as the race was over.

Started on outside pole and was able to launch out to the lead off the green flag. Most of the race I was by myself. With a handful of laps to go I was challenged for the lead. We made slight contact which pushed me over the curb and sent me into the the other driver. Unfortunately this sent him off track and knocked his chain off. Started 11th and slowly worked my way through the field to get a respectable 8th. This gave me a 5th place starting spot for the final after finishing 3rd in heat 1

Started in 5th and was able to give the inside line a huge push out front into turn 1. The rest of the race was full of battles with about six karts all racing for 2nd place. When trying to make a move under the 11 kart in turn four his rear bumper hit the inside for my front tire and knocked the valve stem out. Started on the front row and let the 26 go since he was on the softer tires. As the race went on I was pushing harder and harder to find the limits of grip on the track. As I took the white flag I found it in turn 1. The kart started to drift and there was no saving it. I slid into the bags and drug the kart back onto the surface and was able to finish.

2023 OVKA 100cc Masters Heavy Race 11 Final

Started in 7th for the final. The inside line had a great jump and I had cleared 5th place by the time we hit the back straight. The leaders tangled and I found myself in 3rd. Eventually I was able to make a move for 2nd and then built a gap that I maintained the rest of the race. Feels great to get the first podium of the season.

Drove to 4th and was hanging on to it for awhile. I had no idea the bumper was coming off and dragging all over the track. It screwed up the handling and was slowing me down all over. I had dropped a second from my pace I was running all day. I ended up with a mechanical DQ and finished last even though I was 6th on track.

Feels great to get a good finish after setbacks all day, almost feels better than the whole day going well, which is something I haven't experienced this year, but thus is racing haha
Bad luck that the valve stem broke but just one of those 1 in a million racing incidents. On the bright side, we get to do it all again next week!

No I was trying to see how far I could drive it into the corners since I was in no mans land. The rear stepped out and just kept sliding.

When Joey threw his chain I tried to turn to avoid him and I was in mid air over that hump in the track.

Can you list your settings from your GoPro screen you used for this? I tried some recommendations for low light I found online this week but the vibration was far worse, videos are unusable

Sunday races gates open at 7am, what time are they usually finished racing? Particularly Lo206 Jr. We would have a 3hr drive home to Louisville and have to be there by 7pm eastern.
Usually racing is done around 4-5 pm. That was my experience last time I ran with the series. I haven't had a chance to in a year or so.

I honestly wasn't trying to. I knew the guy in the 44 was going to slam the door if I wasn't on the 78's bumper. I was just trying make sure I was right on his bumper before the corner but it worked out I guess.

How did you get the GoPro video to be not so pixely? Mine looks terrible. edit: The original video is crispy clean but when I export to upload to youtube it's pixely.
th-cam.com/video/NXnBCkF9jUQ/w-d-xo.html I used this video and the DaVinci software to upload it. The most important part is at the end locking in the kbps. TH-cam will compress the quality of anything you upload so that basically garuntees a minimum quality.
Depends on what camera you have, but on GoPro Hero 7 Black and up I record in 1080p 60fps as my minimum, which allows for hyper smooth stabilization and therefore very clean video recordings.
@@CaptainAwesomeness I recorded using my GoPro Hero9. I exported using an editing softare on my computer called "Hitfilm".
@@CaptainAwesomeness Also the reason I didn't just upload the original video was because for some reason the GoPro seperates anything above 8 minutes 52 seconds into seperate videos, but if I change the FPS to a lower FPS, it seperates at 11 minutes 58 seconds. The time limit on recording is set to none.
@@bananabread1470 oh yeah HitFilm does have limitations. I think you're dealing with rendering quality. For that I tend to render in at least 1080p 60fps. I use either a paid program (Vegas Pro) or a free program (DaVinci Resolve) depending on which of my computers I'm using to edit my videos. I can tell you free ones tend to be a bit difficult to work with sometimes.

I really needed a 61.5 gear. I was running out of top end but if I dropped a tooth I was too slow off the corners. Either way it was a really fun race.
