I always struggle with a machine, and it also takes a tole on me and actually question myself. “Can I actually do this? Am I capable to be a Tattoo Artist?” Now I’m thinking of just doing stick and poke because it’s where I’m most comfortable and I’m most confident in, but I’m worried people won’t take me as serious as a Tattoo Artist and won’t gain customers. I’m on the fence of just tossing my dreams aside, or keep going and do what’s best for me.

I’ve just started practicing on myself. I’ve found it to be really relaxing and a great outlet for my depression. I came here for some inspiration beyond simple line work and I’m blown away by how much you can do with just hand poking. Thanks for sharing your experience here!

I bought a poke hand tattoo kit recently for my birthday, haven’t used it yet I have been researching before I do my first tattoo by myself All my other family has tattoos they bought from an tattoo artist, I wanted to be different and do tattoo myself
