Awesome video about gravel rides near FoCo!
Acting was on point! :) Ace intro vid :)
this is sick! will definetly be attending
hi, what a nice bass in your intro :)) Tried to shazam it, however inrecognizable..
Super Impressive! 👊
Beautiful ride! Did you bike back? 😂
Haha no. We tired. Prevailing winds would be more favorable going east but we drove back.
So much wood.
Good to know. Thanks.
Any suggestions on where I can find pictures of a set up like you're running? It all makes sense; I just do better with pictures. Military guy. 🤷🏻
I ran my BMW R50 motorcycle on aprox. 50 % diesel & 50 % gasoline . The R 50 has 6.8 compression ratio it was summer .
Thanks ☺️
I would suggest you use brake caliper blocks. I wish someone would make a rotor wrench that is 3d printed (strong and lightweight). I also would suggest you loosen the brake hoods, they get hit a lot when flying and having the ability to move vs. break is well worth it.
It was really handy, but I wish you would have shown how to pack without rear wheel too, because I am not sure about the sport equipment size ticket that I bought. Chax
Prima di fare i video per insegnare, impara a fare il lavoro decentemente !
great video!
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I think the tape is wrapped the wrong direction on the top of the handlebar.
It’s not. The tape should be tightening as you have your hands on the bars.
You may want to watch the Park Tool video by Calvin Jones on how to wrap handlebar tape. I've seen them wrapped both ways on the tops, but wrapping towards the back on the tops makes more sense to me as your hands are pulling towards the back and if you wrap towards the front, you will loosen the tape. Not being critical...just presenting another way of doing it. Great video. Everyone has their own preference, and I suppose it can depend on how often you change your tape and where your hands are the majority of the time. If you are always in the drops it wouldn't matter which direction the tops are wrapped and vice versa. I'm sure the quality of the tape also has a lot to do with longevity, too.
@@bikesportsconot being critical either, but if your intention is for the tape to tighten as you ride than it's definitely wrapped the other way. Think of the accelerator of a motorcycle: when you accelerate your hands tend to have the same motion on the tops of the handle bar...
@@garyfleischman7555I first learnt how to wrap bar tape from that park tool video too!
Most importantly, I learned to use the pedal as a bottle opener!
👍👍🫡🫡
Great channel, good advice, however in this vid I wish you'd warn people not to point high pressure water at the bottom bracket and headset.
What a great tutorial, helped me out big time. Thank you!
stoked to hear!
@@bikesportscoзачем мне карбон который при первом падении развалится
@@user-sm1ur5bk2r I've been racing carbon bars for a long time and have crashed plenty and not broken them.
Those Enve bars with the recesses on the tops are crying out for a reverse wrap. The rubber ends also make for a very neat finish going in that direction.
I have travelled a lot using cardboard boxes. I have had 2 derailleur hangers bent and derailleur cages damaged by packing this way. Best to remove rear derailleur/hanger, and be extremely careful about the brake rotors. Takes very little extra time to remove these, and then you can have a nice flight.
Nice, So if I did this and I got a flat due to a screw or nail, I should be able to just plug the tire with a patch kit just on my motorcyle.
Not sure how it translates to motorcycle tires, tbh.

Very cool vid, I really like it, we have much rougher gravel here in Texas
In france we don't have such smooth gravels roads, we aimed for this but ending riding mtb instead.
Ha! we are surrounded by roads like these 😍
Great content! What are you riding?
We’re on the ENVE MOGs with Shimano GRX 👍
Thank you 😊@@bikesportsco

just FYI, you destroy your torque wrench by doing stuff like taking the pedals off with it.
Actually, this Feedback Range torque wrench is just a normal ratchet tool with the torque readout as a tension readout only on the end. The torque wrench portion isn't in the ratchet head like other wrenches. Using the tool normally doesn't engage the torque readout so you can do hard stuff like pedals as a normal ratchet and then when you need to torque something specific like seatposts or handelbars you can use the torque reader. - www.amazon.com/Feedback-Sports-Range-Torque-Ratchet/dp/B07HQTS15M/ref=sr_1_5?hvadid=634018733202&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9008167&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=17531051175391686437&hvtargid=kwd-638360156778&hydadcr=29036_14670964&keywords=feedback+torque+wrench&qid=1699893208&sr=8-5
Hi. When you get to your destination how do you get your bike bag to your destination? Are you renting large SUVs or using a shuttle company that specifically will transport oversized bags?
We typically try to stay within riding distance to the start of events so we don't have to rent a car. We'll get an Uber X to and from the airport...they are typically SUVs or vans, so it's perfect. Alternatively, a shuttle company, yes...sometimes they require you to notify them that you have a bike due to room.
Exactly
You can actually mix the waste veggie oil with your diesel fuel to thin it out. You can actually also add a little bit of gasoline to it all in one tank. Don’t get me wrong. I do like your set up. If I had the 7.3 diesel that’s the way I would go just one tank they will pretty much run on anything.
Can I still run regular Diesel in the truck if need be, like if I’m out of town???
Such a baller setup! Definitely dialed to get to and from events. Those kids at the end were so cute!
but did they get their van!?
Hey, thanks for the info! After it hits the garbage can, is it an in-tank heating system or is there just a tube that flows between the tank and the trashcan? I’ll be converting my rig soon, so I’m trying to find the easiest/cheapest/best solution. Thanks for any information you can give about the fuel tank heater!
Hey sorry for late reply. The trash can just covers the stock front take and holds the insulation on. There’s a heater line coming from the radiator, to some metal pipe to heat that tank, then back to radiator to become cooler but it’s still hot enough to heat the tank and the heat holds pretty well with the insulated trash can
YES.
Damn, look at those whiskey glasses!!

Very instructive !! All of my questions answered
hey i hope someone can help me. Me and my boyfriend have a diesel car it's automatic and a few days ago it was smoking and someone put oil in for us, we then went and got more oil because he only put a little in. Then today we noticed an oil leak, so we put more oil in again just to make sure we can get home and we didn't get far until the engine made loud revving noises, there was no more power going to the wheels it was just revving, there wasn't even any smoke. but there was a burning smell like burning rubber
Just keep putting oil in it. Any burning rubber bits, oil. Also check the blinker fluid.
@@bikesportsco put more oil in after it stopped working and was leaking oil?
Yes. If it’s leaking enough, you’ll never have to get an oil change again, you’ll just keep adding.
@@bikesportsco so we found out the thing called gaskets are broken and oil was mixing with the fuel.. i think you should probably not give advice :p
@@pinkiethesniper6630dog they told you to check the blinker fluid, they were messing with you.
I wish I would have watched this about an hour ago!! I just shipped out a bike, but used a lot more packing materials!
Better extra cozy <3
Lol you didn’t mention the most critical part about the integrated cockpit travel! Buy a bike bag where you can leave the handle bars on
Andrew, that's literally what the entire first minute is about.
Ok true I kinda missed that and given you need to buy a bike bag that specifically allows handle bars to remain on it could have been highlighted more good content tho 👍
@@andrewgrant3470 that is the downside to an integrated front end for sure (but it looks 😍😍😍). If you don’t have an integrated front end, I will have the ol’ cardboard box method video coming out in a couple weeks!
Yep. I missed that part completely. She had a video caption showing the bag model. That was it. I didn't even notice. She should've explained Aerocomfort bag a bit more. Like: The biggest difference between the Aerocomfort and other bike bags/boxes is that it's wide enough to accommodate an integrated cockpit without the complete dissemble. That's the KEY part of the video. That's the point she was trying to make: how to deal with the integrated problem. Anyone who have traveled with a bike before knows how to take off pedals, seat post, wheels, etc...the standard process...There's plenty of videos on YT showing you how to do it. The title of the video should be: Sicon Aerocomfort: the solution to the integrated bike traveling. The other thing I noticed after watching her video the second time was that her bar width is pretty narrow like 40cm? I wonder how my 44cm(C-C) bar would fit in that bag. The bar would have stick out on either side so much. A product specific video also needs to cover the flexibility of the key feature. Again, I had to go to Sicon's website to find out the widest part of the box is 50cm which should fit widest bars. This video could've used better scripting and editing.
Where can we get one?!
Dam, this looks like an incredible event! I might have to make my way over to the 2023 event! 🙌🏾
Would love to share the weekend with ya!
